British expatriates in Spain and other parts of the EU are filing a lawsuit against European Commission President  Jean-Claude Juncker, over the perceived "tough positions" in the run-up to whatever is going to come out of the Brexit discussions and Juncker's order that there should be no informal talks of any weight before the UK government triggers the famous Article 50 and formally sit down at the table.

Something tells me this is not the best strategy...  :D I also doubt that Juncker will show up at the Old Bailey.

So Trump even appologized this time, yes Trump. If my mind shuts down from shock will you take me to the hospital?

In all seriousness however, hopefully this nails Trumps coffin shut like a steel trap.

Only he didn't really apologize.  He said 'This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course - not even close. I apologize if anyone was offended,' which doesn't come close to acknowledging that bragging about how 'When you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything ... Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything,' was unconditionally offensive.

I can attest to it. Though its not always the Antidepressants themselves but accelerants that people take to 'enhance' the effects of their medication or 'boost' its effectiveness.

My mother was a nurse for a good while, and we talked about this once. She had been on antidepressants that barely did anything to help her but she outright refused accelerants like they were poison because she knew of how they could seriously mess people up. And when you hear of someone on antidepressants committing suicide or on some other medication getting violent, she would say keep an eye out for what else they were taking, because some of them are seriously not designed to go together.

She got over her own depression with a combination of original medication, proactive work and she took up the habbit of knitting. >_> Which I weird because she said as a kid she despised knitting.

There's also the fact that in severe depression, you might not have the energy to act on thoughts of suicide.  The thoughts are there, but the act of doing something is too much effort.  If the increase in energy happens before the suicidal ideation is dealt with, then the patient may just have enough of a surge to take action.

An "unbalanced" woman, "covered in a large scarf", has been forcibly hospitalized after trying to run over high schoolers with her car (can't find an English link). More and more schools are going to demand cops or army nearby but they are already unable to make sure all churches are safe... In my times we feared bike thieves not crazy cars...

According to Politico, the RNC is moving to suspend at least some of the "Victory" campaign for Trump, work on local fundraising and efforts to get wider support for him among coloured people, ethnic minorities and (I guess) women. A leaked e-mail to a vendor, coming from high up in the chain of command, called for "all work on ongoing events" and e-mail campaigns to stop; it sounds like an order that would have been sent out to numerous local campaign offices and organizers, but it's unclear if it's actually a general order for the entire Victory campaign to halt for the time being, or if it's just some events and some states.

I've read that a lot of local candidates are distancing their campaigns from Trump and some even from Pence.  Funds channeled through the RNC could dry up if the organization decides to withhold support and the might force some Trump/Pence campaign offices to close or consolidate.

Pence and Trump seem to be very far apart on free trade. Pence is a long-time supporter of free trade deals, especially NAFTA and free trade with China, while Trump has been saying NAFTA must be renegotiated and that China, Brazil and other countries are stealing US jobs aided by (according to him) "unfair" trade agreements.

He's also been more openly critical of Vladimir Putin than his running mate, though Bloomberg News suggested this was, in part, a good-cop/bad-cop routine to catch as wide a segment of voters as possible.

Duverger's Law suggests that an alternative party will probably emerge to take its place. What exactly that party will be is an open question, but I don't think it will be the GOP...

Can't you postpone the presidential election for one year, run all the other 1.000+ elections set for November 8 and keep Obama in office for 2017  (by a special law)? Then you'll have the time to do a re-run of the entire election season and come up with somebody other than Mr. T?  :P

It'd take more than a law - we'd have to repeal or amend the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, which limits any person to two four-year terms as President.

Honestly I doubt that Obama would be up for it, in any case. He's likely planning already for his post-White House life...and would he really want to sit another year with (likely) a red congress against him and much of domestic politics in gridlock on Capitol Hill?  ;)
