A successful Hajj season this year. As terrible as the disasters of last year, its good to know we've learned from our mistakes. :-)

Okay, here's a bizarre news piece from over here...

A situation: in one Polish city, in one of the local branches of one bank (whose name has been withheld), a phone rung. When the branch employees answered it, they heard:

- Hello, this is the police. We're conduncting a special operations against a group of criminals. We require your bank's cooperation - specifically, we need to borrow a large amount of cash. In a few minutes, one of our officers will arrive, we require you to give him the amount of money he needs.

And the bank employees replied to that:

- Sure, no problem!

Not too long later, a man dressed in a police officer's uniform entered the bank and was presented by the bank employees with a package of cash worth around, oh, $50 000. He took the money and left the bank with no incident. Never to return, of course...

Seriously, how naive can you be...???  :o

Pipe Bombs hidden in a trash can exploded in New Jersey targeting people in a race. No injuries/fatalities.

Thank God there were no injuries or deaths as the bomb went off to early and none of the runners had reached the area yet.

Strikes me that the north has been threatening to reduce them to ash for over a half century. Instead of being cowed, the south's response is "FUCK YOU AND YOUR NUKES"

Apparently NYPD are confirming that the bomb blast on 7th Ave in Manhattan was not an accident.  :-(

Pat McCrory Quietly Withdraws HB2 Lawsuit He Filed Against Federal Government, Cites Costs: http://www.thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/davidbadash/breaking_pat_mccrory_withdraws_hb2_lawsuit_he_filed_against_federal_government_cites_costs

North Carolina's been going to shit in more ways than one when he and his allies got elected seats. All the same, I'm glad for little victories like this. He's still a regressive, but I'm glad that he's not getting away with everything.

So I take it this bank's personnel never got their own emails and warnings they typically sent out about never blindingly trusting people with money, cards, accounts and codes...

Yeah NK has been a problem for decades and the news is always the same old flavour of boring shit.

I'm not terribly excited by anyone getting nukes though that doesn't already have them.

Call me terrible, but I'm much more inclined to a permanent end to the status quo, the Kim regime seems intent on becoming a bigger problem.

Police find second explosive device in New York but it has been diffused.

I hadn't heard about those. I hope they catch those responsible and no one else is hurt.

Wow, talk about being prescient!

Stumbled on that one after another member here got into a private discussion with me about Hart and his eighties bids to become the democrat nominee for president. Notice the date of that article - the prediction came true only a week later, and the rest of his conclusions also ring true, with a distance of fifteen years.   :-(

(There were other people who suggested that some kind of massive terrorist attack was coming soon, Richard Clarke for example, but I've rarely seen it put so clearly, and in print, before things went red).

Sad thing is...I kind of believe him, but im not really afraid of the attack believe it or not.

I don't feel fear whenever I hear a terror threat, iv e grown numb to it, im not even all that afraid of my own death. What I am afraid of is the death of Freedom. Everytime something like this happens, we tighten our grip on society for security, chocking out more personal freedoms.

And ive sadly found myself welcoming it sometimes.

I used to live near there, with my partner. It's a wonderful neighbourhood, I'm so sad for reading this. I'm glad no one is seriously hurt.

Man who went on a Mass Stabbing in a mall in Minnesota, (stabbing 8 people before being brought down by an off duty officer who had a side arm on him,) was apparently an IS supporter and ugh.  >:(

I think It might be time to take the Charging Bull and re-purpose it.

Ingenuity at its finest I suppose, honestly so morbidly awe-struck that I can't really feel horrified.

If it saves even 1 civilian life, I say it is worth it.

In other news the suspect of the bombings has been captured alive.

Taken out on a stretcher apparently since he resisted arrest.
