What is XCOM?
From TvTropes: "In the year 2015, Earth comes under attack by alien forces. In response, the Council of Nations activates the XCOM project, a Multinational Team tasked with fighting the alien invaders and researching their technology to protect humanity. The player takes the role of the Commander of XCOM, and with the help of various NPC advisers, guides XCOM to victory (or defeat) by managing the whole organization, including base building, research, manufacturing and sending fighters to intercept UFOs. The main focus of the game, however, is on the ground combat, where the player takes control of a small squad of soldiers and fights turn-based battles against the aliens.

In combat, the player commands up to four soldiers (later upgradeable to a maximum of six). Soldiers also earn XP for kills and rank up, specializing with their first rank into one of four different classes (Assault, Support, Heavy, and Sniper), each with unique weapons, equipment, and abilities. Each soldier gets two actions per turn, though using any action other than 'move' normally ends that unit's turn. Every soldier is equipped with one primary weapon, one pistol (Heavies get a Rocket Launcher instead), and an additional piece of equipment that the player decides (such as a grenade or medikit).

Outside of combat, the player manages the XCOM base. A delicate balancing act is required, with the player having to choose what upgrade projects to research, what new weapons/items to build, what new XCOM facilities to build (such as Workshops to reduce building costs or Satellite Uplinks to increase your coverage of the world map) and what alien threats to go after, all the while managing limited resources and attempting to keep world panic down. The player must monitor the panic in various countries; if they get too high, the country might drop-out of the XCOM project and withdraw their funding (and if too many drop-out, it's an automatic Game Over)."

How about a short version?
Aliens have invaded Earth and you are part of a multi-national group fighting back against the extra-terrestrial threat. Blast space creatures, research their tech and use it for your own, and defend the planet against invasion.

So what is this game?
Operation Valkyrie is about an XCOM base that has only female staff members (futanari, shemales, dickgirls, however you want to describe them - all allowed as well). This is basically an interest check for a lighthearted game with an equal mix of shameless smut and alien blasting. The story won't be too serious and we won't be pressured to move things along, this is aiming to be a game that moves along mostly at it's own pace. I'd like it to have an equal mix of time at the XCOM base and time where the ladies go on missions, blasting away aliens and causing rampant property destruction. I'll take as many girls as we can get, but ideally, we'll need at least four to begin. Hopefully, there will be some takers!

Are there any rules?
The first rule is that this will feature only female characters (Futas, Shemales, etc).
The second rule is that the GM will be in main control of enemy aliens.
The third rule is that only original characters will be accepted.

I'm interested in a role as a female sniper. Also, might as well share that I don't have any real experience with the XCOM game series, but I'm willing to research wherever proves necessary.

I'm happy to hear you're interested!

The XCOM series is straightforward and easy to wrap your head around. It's two games in one: Tactical Strategy and Base Building. The goal is to wipe out alien threat in each mission and build a base that can support the needed upgrades and research in order to accomplish that goal. You don't need to be an expert at the game to Role Play it, either. Just think of it as special soldiers from all around the world gathered together to defend the earth from invaders :)

If you're interested in learning more, there's plenty of info and resources out there (as this is a popular game).

This is is a resource about all the classes in the game. It links to more details about class skills as well, but don't overload yourself too much.

Any questions about anything, feel free to ask. This isn't a systems game so don't feel overwhelmed about stats and class specifics. We're just gonna have a lot of fun!

Yay! Another interested party. And supports are definitely invaluable! Someone's gotta keep the squad alive.

Looks like things are going really well.

We've got enough interest for a four-woman squad, which is perfect ^^

I look forward to seeing everyone's complete characters!

Just in case someone wanted to play the Sniper class, here's Hailey in the Assault class:

Such versatility O_O

I also like how you screen shot the game. I've tried in the past, but it was mean to me lol

I believe Reaper spoke of being interested in a Sniper, but we definitely have an opening for Assault. Run and Gun for the win!

My technological literacy has slipped over the last few years cuz of University (>.<) but I'm slowly getting back into it.

I definitely need some game capture software. These look promising.

Nice to see this idea getting revived.

I'll throw in the same character I wanted to play before...

Name: Lieutenant Samantha Rand

Age: 24

Sex: Futa

Nationality: American

Class: Assault

Personality: Sam is aggressive, assertive and domineering.  She takes charge even if she doesn't have authority, and tends to follow her instincts instead of orders.

Bio: Agile.  Hostile.  Mobile.  Versatile.  Sam is one of the few females to survive and thrive through military special ops training.  Like other assault specialists, she prefers a run & gun style of fighting, but also uses her aggression to take more lethal shots when more opponents are in her face, her lightning reflexes to dodge bullets while charging the enemy, and her ability to flush opponents out from cover so their snipers and heavies can blow their heads off.

In high school, she was a track and volleyball star.  After attending the US Naval Academy in Annapolis with the intent of going into medicine, she found a calling in infantry exercises, starting with unarmed combat all the way to assault rifles.

An experienced veteran whose seen action in numerous missions, Sam joined XCOM as a rookie and quickly rose up the ranks.  Despite constantly being on the front-lines and regularly being the first to kick in a door, she always managed to pull off victory.  Every time the smoke cleared, Sam was surrounded by bodies, with a captured alien to interrogate and some new tech to replicate.

Name: Kalina Dodger

Age: 25

Sex: Female

Nationality: English

Class: Heavy

Personality: On the battlefield she is a tactical cold, hard woman, off on base however she is quite playful and kind.

Bio: Standing firm for what she believes in Kalina is a immovable object when she has made up her mind. During her past she worked for several private millitary contracters and firms, each time they gave her bigger weapons and armour to use. Using strong armour and a huge gun to take our her enemys she relies on standing tall and unmoving while laying down a hail of bullets either to buy her friends time to flank the enemy or for the bullets to take out the target.

Name: Dawn Farron

Age: 22

Sex: Female

Nationality: Australian, born and raised in the middle east

Class: Sniper

Personality: Fun-loving and carefree, Dawn sees little reason to stress and don't understand most of the super-seriousness that military personnel seems to have. She completely lacks the iconic discipline that a trained soldier would have, to the point of which ranks means absolutely nothing to her, often to the annoyance of stiff high-ranking officers, at least that's how it has usually boiled down in her past encounters with people of high rank. She also falls into the category of psychopaths that finds joy in war. She doesn't pass the border of killing things for fun, but she finds war accelerating and addicting.

Bio: Dawn's past is a bit of a mess and hard to get down on paper. She was born by an Australian couple while they were on vacation, but due to complicated circumstances, they were unable to leave the country. Civil war broke out and they were both killed during raids. Having nowhere else to go, Dawn was taken in by the rebels and raised there, both as a child and as a soldier. Being progressively fed with images of war and suffering, along with growing experience with firearms, she ended up fighting as a war-child from the age of 11, though in a small scale, usually just scouting or rear-support, but as her skills grew, she progressively pushed further up in the "ranks" that the growing group had. Before she turned 13, she had already painted several walls with blood. When their most experienced sniper passed along, she took over, taking over the old Russian PTRS-41 AT rifle he had been using (primarily due to limited resources and a lack of a better weapon to use). Already when she got it, the weapon was aging and had seen its fair share of wars since world war II, but it was still usable.

Eventually, the war ended, and with her barely knowing how to read and write, and having no fragments of education at all, she ended up freelancing for several years with nothing better to do, primarily as a mercenary-for-hire and bounty hunter. At some point, she got in contact with several military big-shots who asked her to join the US military, but she turned down the offer saying that she wouldn't fit in. She kept on declining the offers as they were thrown at her, but eventually gave in as the invasion started.

Theme: TBA

Other: The rifle she operates is a highly modified old PTRS-41 Anti-tank rifle. The rifle was made in 1941, so it has seen its fair share of wars, clearly visible from the scratched up metal and from the stock that has been bandaged just to keep it together. Besides that, the magazine loading system has broken, so it has to be manually loaded between each shot.

I'd argue that we would end up with class-duplicates either way. With just four classes to pick from, the chance of not having two of one class was really low to begin with.

Hey Vin, Glad to have you back!

I'm good with accepting Sam, but I'll have to ask if you could alter the history a bit. As Gm, I won't be making an actual character this round and will just work the story line for you guys, so Rampage'll have to sit this one out (Sadly ;( )
