Australian, born and raised in the middle eastClass:
Fun-loving and carefree, Dawn sees little reason to stress and don't understand most of the super-seriousness that military personnel seems to have. She completely lacks the iconic discipline that a trained soldier would have, to the point of which ranks means absolutely nothing to her, often to the annoyance of stiff high-ranking officers, at least that's how it has usually boiled down in her past encounters with people of high rank. She also falls into the category of psychopaths that finds joy in war. She doesn't pass the border of killing things for fun, but she finds war accelerating and addicting.Bio:
Dawn's past is a bit of a mess and hard to get down on paper. She was born by an Australian couple while they were on vacation, but due to complicated circumstances, they were unable to leave the country. Civil war broke out and they were both killed during raids. Having nowhere else to go, Dawn was taken in by the rebels and raised there, both as a child and as a soldier. Being progressively fed with images of war and suffering, along with growing experience with firearms, she ended up fighting as a war-child from the age of 11, though in a small scale, usually just scouting or rear-support, but as her skills grew, she progressively pushed further up in the "ranks" that the growing group had. Before she turned 13, she had already painted several walls with blood. When their most experienced sniper passed along, she took over, taking over the old Russian PTRS-41 AT rifle he had been using (primarily due to limited resources and a lack of a better weapon to use). Already when she got it, the weapon was aging and had seen its fair share of wars since world war II, but it was still usable.
Eventually, the war ended, and with her barely knowing how to read and write, and having no fragments of education at all, she ended up freelancing for several years with nothing better to do, primarily as a mercenary-for-hire and bounty hunter. At some point, she got in contact with several military big-shots who asked her to join the US military, but she turned down the offer saying that she wouldn't fit in. She kept on declining the offers as they were thrown at her, but eventually gave in as the invasion started.Theme:
The rifle she operates is a highly modified old PTRS-41 Anti-tank rifle. The rifle was made in 1941, so it has seen its fair share of wars, clearly visible from the scratched up metal and from the stock that has been bandaged just to keep it together. Besides that, the magazine loading system has broken, so it has to be manually loaded between each shot.
