Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Reboot
« on: June 07, 2014, 07:54:39 AM »
Not sure if anyone seen the trailers, yet. I found out about it from idle curiosity when me and a friend were texting back and the old school TMNT came up as a topic. I decided to do some browsing and stumble on that they were remaking or rebooting the movie series. I was excited with this, at first, till I looked at the cast, the producers, and finally the trailer.

The trailer that has left me even a bit more skeptical.
2014 TMNT Live Action Trailer

I dunno, they look freaky and oversize, plus the mood of the trailer felt too serious. Maybe I am clinging too hard to the old live action Ninja Turtle movies as they were a fond childhood memory.

For those unfamiliar with the old school ones.

The movies were in no way to be like the original, the Director even stated it.  They are not going to be the 90s turtles at all.  I have no problem with the cast, Megan Fox is not being used as eye candy, Bay only produced, not directed so there is that.  I don't personally mind Bay at all.  Fanboys hate him because no pandering to them.  William Fichtner I think will do alright as Shredder.

The original Turtles movie was pretty much my childhood.
