Status: not actively seeking new stories at this time.

Hello, there!

Here is my Ons and Offs thread and below are my story ideas. More will be added as they come to me. (I like to write, so that happens fairly often.) I've hidden the old stuff under a spoiler tag but that doesn't mean I'm not willing to play any of it. Please PM me if you are interested. With the current situation I am definitely looking for writing partners. Each of the ideas has a little abbreviation next to it; these are mainly for fun but feel free to use them when asking about an idea!

Every idea follows the same format: a blurb explaining what it's about, suggestions for main characters (meaning "your" character and "my" character) as well as NPCs (meaning characters we would share), and suggestions for different spins on the story or directions it could take. If I have any preference for which main character I would rather play, I will highlight it like this. But that doesn't mean I'm not flexible. :-) Anything marked “CLAIMED” has been claimed by a writing partner and is currently in progress. Anything marked CRAVING means a story I’m particularly craving above the others.

As the thread says, I primarily like to write MxF or FxF pairings. I’ve set up each story request so the characters could be whatever gender, meaning I could play either one of them, but I generally would rather play the male of any MxF pairing as a matter of preference.

The Abandoned City (TAC) — CLAIMED
The Abandoned City
In an empty city on a forgotten world, the urban landscape stretches on for miles and miles: thousands of businesses, atriums and dwellings built overtop of, beside, and underneath each other… now abandoned. Within its bones, one survivor ekes out a solitary existence, scavenging sustenance and equipment from everything left behind. One day they come across another person — a stranger, travelling alone — the first other living thing they’ve seen in a long time. Naturally, the survivor takes them in, but they might find cohabitation to be more difficult and dangerous. Why was the stranger out here? Are they dangerous? Does the host have the best intentions? And they may be the only two living things for hundreds of miles, but that doesn’t mean they’re alone.
Main Characters: the person living in the city and their new guest
NPCs: the things infesting the city, other survivors
Plot hook ideas:

  • who is more dangerous: the things outside, or the guest/host?
  • (the creatures could be left out of the story entirely to focus on the survivor and the stranger)
  • the stranger has someone with them — another survivor, maybe a child
  • the host or guest could be a supersoldier on the run from a war
  • are the creatures a byproduct of this war — mutated by fallout, created as weapons or are they "the enemy"?
  • what if the host captures one of the creatures — intentionally or accidentally?
  • what do they do with it once they've captured it, and how does the guest feel about this?
  • If the stranger and host come from different places (i.e. isolation vs. a crowded shelter) they may have very different ideas of boundaries and privacy
  • in the dream this idea was based on, the galaxy was devastated by endless wars orchestrated by the 1% who had moved onto a higher dimension — perhaps this can be a part of the story and come into focus later on

Clipped Wings (CW)
Clipped Wings
In the distant future, humanity has diverged into two distinct evolutionary branches, known as the Brights and the Zephyrs. The Brights are pale, sterile creatures living in cramped megacities under artificial sunlight. They possess incredibly advanced technology and the ability to augment themselves. The Zephyrs, on the other hand, are all natural, living wild and free in what few pockets of nature remain. They have wings and more esoteric abilities such as telepathy. War has erupted between the two races. A young Zephyr is captured and imprisoned in a Bright facility for interrogation and eventual vivisection, but their captivity takes an unusual turn when one of the Brights takes an unusual interest in them.
Main Characters: the Zephyr prisoner and their Bright captor
NPCs: other Brights in the facility, possibly Zephyrs from the captor’s home tribe
Plot hook ideas:

  • Is the Bright’s interest in the Zephyr predatory, or merely curious?
  • Are either of them important to the war?
  • Perhaps there doesn’t have to be a war and the Zephyr was merely captured for scientific study
  • Does the Zephyr break in captivity? Or does the Bright become sympathetic to their cause?

Wizard & Apprentice (W&A)
Wizard & Apprentice
Mentoring an apprentice is a prestigious pastime afforded only to the most respected of elder wizards. But then, due to an apparent clerical error, a young apprentice wizard finds themselves  accidentally assigned to a wizard only a few years older than them. Apprentice-master contracts are magically binding; Now they’re stuck with each other — magically bound to stay within 50 feet of each other at all times — and it’s currently a bad time to be around someone you’re not sure you can trust.…
Main Characters: the mentor wizard and the apprentice wizard
NPCs: other wizards, magic users or supernatural creatures? The sky's the limit
Plot hook ideas:

  • I envisioned it as a modern-day setting (urban fantasy) but it could easily be medieval, steampunk or something else
  • apprentice and mentor can be close in age or have more of an age gap if desired
  • What if one of them comes from a once-proud, now disgraced magical family, and the other comes from the wizard equivalent of royalty?

An Avatar in Two (AA2) – CLAIMED
An Avatar in Two
A sequel to The Legend of Korra, taking place in the Avatar-verse’s equivalent of the modern day. Korra may be gone, but in her wake the world has been gifted with not just one but… two avatars?? Twin siblings from the United Republic discover they are the latest benders to inherit Raava’s power and protect the world.
Main Characters:  the Avatars
NPCs: other benders, members of the Black Lotus, etc.
Plot hook ideas:

  • naturally this is a story where the two main characters don’t necessarily have to be involved with each other — though I am open to that! — but there’s plenty of room for them to have relationships with NPCs, with potential love triangles galore
  • One potential threat could be an organization called the Black Lotus: a group of fanatics who believe the Avatar spirit is being “diluted” by being split, and the main characters must be captured and killed at the exact same time so the cycle can continue
  • what if they spend awhile thinking only one of the siblings is the Avatar, then find out the other one is too?
  • by this point the world of Avatar is surely at a modern level of technological development. Do they have computers? The internet? Space travel?
  • what are the different nations' current forms of government? Is there still a Fire Lord?
  • are any characters from TLoK still around?
  • what other new advances are there? Plastic prisons for benders (not firebenders obviously)? What are benders’ place in society now?

Override the System (OtS)
Override the System
In the not-too-distant future, the wealthiest of society are shuttled around beneath their sprawling metropolis in opulent private railcars controlled by a central computer, while the underpaid workers who make it all possible must make the lengthy commute to and from the city’s outskirts on inhumane, overcrowded, crime-ridden automated buses (basically cattle cars, except with the added bonus that one of the other cattle might stab you). One of the workers decides they’ve had enough and kidnaps a naïve, privileged university student in order to access the network and override the system.
Main Characters: the worker and the student
NPCs: other workers, security personnel
Plot hook ideas:
I figured the elites access the high-speed rail network Something that would require worker to keep student alive (though maybe worker simply doesn't want to kill them). But what is worker's aim? A revolution? A simple statement? Or something more drastic like shutting the rail system form and forcing the elites to use the terrible road system and realize how bad it is. Maybe worker can only get so far but student sympathizes with their cause and helps them.

  • the rail network is probably accessed via handprints, retinal scans or some other form of biometrics. Something that will require them to keep the student alive (though the worker is not necessarily a killer)
  • What is their aim? To make a statement? Shut down the system? Start a revolution? Or something more drastic?
  • Maybe the student sympathizes with their cause after seeing what things are like

Heir to the Cape (H2C)
Heir to the Cape
One of the Hero League's mightiest heroes has fallen. The League is an association of peers, but still needs a “leader” and face of the organization. This responsibility is unexpectedly thrust upon one of the junior members. While an accomplished hero in their own right, this hero has never been one of the "Big Three" nor were they looking to step into the spotlight. But step into it they must, because members of the League are suspiciously dying off and it seems like it might not be an accident…
Main Characters: the hero thrust into the spotlight, and someone else known to them: perhaps another member of the league, but ideally someone outside it (an unaffiliated hero, an "antihero", or someone else like a reporter or cop, or a member of the hero's rogues gallery — what an interesting pairing that would be)
NPCs: other members of the league, government officials, villains, including whoever is offing heroes,
Plot hook ideas:

  • who is killing off heroes and why? A culling? Retribution? What if the assassin is stealing their powers, trying to accumulate as many as possible?
  • the heroes will naturally suspect their usual villains at first
  • what if the "power thief" is a member of the League? Perhaps the "Batman / Iron Man" of the group, who has no actual powers?
  • perhaps the power stealer figures the heroes are redundant once one person has all their powers
  • or perhaps they believe they're the only one "responsible" enough to wield these powers
  • what if one of the main characters turns out to be the killer?

Starship Down (SD)
Starship Down
Out on the edge of civilized space, a down-on-their luck scavenger stumbles across the ultimate score: a top-of-the-line military grade starship abandoned and adrift, ripe for the picking. But after boarding the vessel, our scavenger encounters a surviving crew member and learns the ship was not abandoned; it was built for a revolutionary propulsion test that went horribly wrong, and neither of them are safe.
Main Characters: the scavenger and the crew member (or they could be another scavenger instead)
NPCs: ?? ?? ??
Plot hook ideas:

  • does the abandoned starship belong to The Government or an evil corporation?
  • what is the source of the danger — is it the crew, the results of the experiment, or the ship's owner?
  • did the test-gone-awry do something to the ship? Have it or the crew been altered in some way?
  • does whatever pseudo-military organization that owns the ship want to destroy it to hide the evidence?
  • was the propulsion test a case of Meddling In Things Mankind Was Not Meant To Mess With or did it involve some kind of unethical experimentation, or both?

The New Hire (TNH)
The New Hire
For years they've been the mad scientist's faithful assistant. But lately the genius has seemed distant… distracted. Hoping to cheer them up (or perhaps snooping for secrets to explain their boss's odd behaviour), the assistant digs through a dusty, mostly unused wing of the mansion/lair/laboratory and discovers a creation the scientist hasn't told them about. And it's alive.
Main Characters: the assistant and the scientist, or perhaps the assistant and the new creation
NPCs: the new creation
Plot hook ideas:

  • What is the assistant/scientist relationship like? Mutual attraction, one-sided pining, platonic?
  • Is the creation intended as the assistant's replacement?
  • Is the creation intended as the scientist's mate? And is the assistant envious of this? Or maybe they just think it's a bad idea?
  • Or perhaps the assistant is upset the scientist kept secrets from them?
  • Is the creation innocent, dangerous, or both?

Centurion Betrayed (CB)
Centurion Betrayed
One of the Empire’s finest, most loyal centurions marches under Imperial orders to destroy the “barbarian” tribe that has been a thorn in their side for years. But they’ve grown quite popular over the past few years — too popular for the Emperor’s liking. So the Emperor makes a secret deal with the other barbarian tribes and certain officers within the centurion's legion, to wipe out the chief who has defied the Empire for so long and conveniently eliminate that pesky centurion at the same time. Betrayed by their own, the centurion and the barbarian leader they were sent to destroy are forced to work together. Unlikely bedfellows, indeed.
Main Characters: the centurion and the barbarian leader
NPCs: other barbarians, the Emperor, the centurion's former officers
Plot hook ideas:

  • This could be a straightforward “swords and sandals” story set in the actual Roman Empire, but it could also take place in a sci-fi or fantasy setting, or even some kind of Modern Rome AU
  • How long does it take the barbarian and the centurion to trust each other? Are there opportunities for them to betray each other?
  • Where do they go — back toward the heart of the Empire, or farther out?
  • Would they be so bold as to strike at the Emperor himself? Do they gain allies?
  • Do the gods exist and, if so, are they a part of this story?

Frost & Fangs (F&F)
Frost & Fangs
In the dead of winter, a homesteader living alone in a remote forest finds a wolf lying terribly wounded in the snow. Perhaps against their better judgment, something about the creature prompts them to bring it home and nurse it back to health. But what happens when they find out it’s not just an ordinary wolf, but a person cursed into wolf form? The winter is harsh, and the werewolf is badly wounded, so it’s likely they'll both be stuck there for awhile…
Main Characters: the werewolf and the homesteader
NPCs: another werewolf? someone who lives with the homesteader (a sibling or spouse)? whomever cursed the werewolf?
Plot hook ideas:

  • Are they stuck in the cabin the entire winter? What do they do when the thaw comes?
  • Is the wolf a full on werewolf? Do they turn back into a human, or some kind of in-between anthropomorphic form?
  • Were they bitten by another werewolf? Do they belong to a pack? Or were they cursed by someone (a warlock perhaps)?
  • Does whoever “created” the werewolf come looking for them at some point?
  • Are there other persons who might object to the werewolf being around?

Lab Rats (LR) – claimed
Lab Rats
After years of being used for experiments by an amoral scientist, a captive test subject finds an unlikely ally in the researcher's assistant. Though they’ve worked for the scientist for a long time and aided in the subjects’ captivity, the assistant has had a change of heart and helps the subject find freedom. They escape together but their former “owner” wants them back.
Main Characters: a test subject and the now-rebellious assistant
NPCs: other test subjects, the scientist, other characters they encounter around the galaxy
Plot hook ideas:

  • how powerful is the scientist? Does he/she/they pursue them?
  • are there other test subjects who escape along with them that they have to help find their way home?
  • why was the subject being experimented on? Do they possess some kind of mutation or rare quality?
  • what if they get home and find it isn’t home anymore?
  • does the assistant even have a home or were they created by the scientist in some way (adopted, cloned, an automaton)?
  • Naturally the assistant would have been in a position of power over the subject prior to escaping. Now that that’s removed, how does this affect their relationship and interactions?
  • does this turn into Firefly with lab escapees??

The Weaponsmith (TWS)
The Weaponsmith
The weaponsmith of Devaard has been sought out for years by famous men of ill repute and great renown: royalty, warriors, holy men, conquerors, killers, heroes. They come from far and wide to obtain the Devaardian’s weapons, which they say are the finest, the most powerful and longest-lasting in all the realm. Yet the smith works alone in a humble forge in the countryside. They make no judgments, providing weapons to whoever has coin… but there are whispers of a weapon of great power, one the smith has never given to anyone. Enter the thief. They want that weapon. But they’ll have to use all of their wits and wiles to get anything from the legendary Devaardian smith.
Main Characters: the smith and the thief
NPCs: other customers, any assistants or family the smith might have
Plot hook ideas:

  • Does the smith openly sell their weapons or are they bestowed upon whomever proves themselves “worthy”?
  • Will the thief try to seduce the smith or will it be a straight-up theft? Or some combination of the two?
  • What kind of setting is this — straight fantasy, steampunk, something else?
  • Are other parties vying for the weapons?
  • Are there any who would try to take the weapons by force?
  • Is the smith mortal? Are they human or something else?
  • Is the thief mortal? Human?
  • Does the smith have a terrifying armoury? Were they once a force to be reckoned with?

From the Stars (FtS) — CRAVING
From the Stars
They came from the stars in a gleaming ship. A member of a peaceful organization devoted to exploration, they said. They were only on your planet for a few days, but that was long enough for them to overthrow the local dictator / investigate a strange time portal / briefly infected with mind-altering spores… and form a romantic connection with you. But their business on your world is over, and they must return to the great beyond; their place is among the stars. Now what? If this were an episode of Star Trek or some other similar show, they’d move on to the next world and you’d be forgotten. This time things are different — but will you leave behind your world, your people and everything you know to sail the galaxy with them? Or will they abandon their life, their career and their oath to stay here with you? Or is there a third option?
Main Characters: the planet's inhabitant, and the space fleet member who gets involved with them
NPCs: other members of the visitor's crew (unless their spaceship is a one-person craft), other people on the planet, third parties (alien invaders? space pirates?)
Plot hook ideas:

  • Does the visitor choose to stay? If so, how do they adjust to a new culture and environment? Do they face repercussions from whatever space fleet organization they belong to? Are they a lone astronaut or part of a larger, more militaristic structure?
  • If the resident chooses to leave with them, will they be permitted to stay aboard the visitor's ship? Will the other crew tolerate them? Does the visitor conceal their presence?
  • What if they take a third option and strike out on their own? How do they do so? What dangers might they face together?
  • Was the astronaut's visit an entirely peaceful mission, or part of a larger agenda? Are their people entirely friendly?
  • Do they represent a single species or some sort of alliance
  • How to the locals feel about the visitor(s)?

The Winning of the Wolf (TWOW)
The Winning of the Wolf
A powerful new werewolf leader has been conquering the clans, trying to unite them all under one alpha. One clan in particular stands in their way, one that has stood strong against all others. To avoid bloodshed, the clan’s aging alpha offers the conqueror a deal: if the conqueror can convince the alpha’s offspring to become their mate by the end of the year, there will be no need for a war. The clans will be united, and the alpha will no longer have to worry about their troublesome progeny trying to overthrow them. But the offspring has no interest in taking a mate, and if the conqueror fails there will be a war.
Main Characters: the conqueror and the alpha's offspring
NPCs: the alpha of the offspring’s pack, other werewolves on both sides of the conflict
Plot hook ideas:

  • What does the elder leader plan to do if his gambit fails?
  • Does the conqueror truly desire the elder's offspring or is this all just a play for power? And if the latter is the case, do they then fall for the offspring anyway?
  • What are the offspring’s goals? Political power, getting back at their restrictive parent, or are they aiming higher?
  • What if the offspring sets their sights on taking the conqueror’s place?

Experimentation (EX)
Experimentation
A scientist is summoned to a remote, highly classified military base and receives some unexpected news: they’re going to be part of a research team studying a genuine extraterrestrial lifeform that recently landed on earth and was taken into custody. The government is eager to learn all they can about the creature, and the scientist is able to study the alien very closely. Perhaps a bit too closely, as their relationship soon crosses the boundaries of researcher and subject into something much more intimate.
Main Characters: the researcher and the alien
NPCs: other researchers and military personnel in the research base
Plot hook ideas:

  • Is the alien an innocent victim of the military or here on a more sinister agenda?
  • Why is the alien here? Is it a lost traveller? Or is it here to scout, to invade, or to breed?
  • Is the alien in human disguise or does it look vastly different?
  • How well are the alien and researcher able to communicate?
  • Does intimate contact with the alien alter the researcher in some way? Do they start to sympathize with the alien and turn against their colleagues?

Us Against the Universe (UAU)
Us Against the Universe
What if the galactic conqueror had a partner? What if there were two people, working together, trying to take over the universe or kill half of it or whatever? What if the Forbidden One was the Forbidden Two? Two are stronger than one, after all. But once they assume control or collect whatever cosmic keystones power the universe, will there be room for both of them? Or will their egos prove stronger than their partnership?
Main Characters: the two conquerors
NPCs: their minions, their enemies etc.
Plot hook ideas:

  • Are the conquerors publicly in a partnership? Or do they pretend it’s platonic?
  • What happens if someone finds out — would it be used against them?
  • Or what if they aren’t equal partners? Perhaps there is a romantic entanglement, but one conqueror is the figurehead and the other is a trusted lieutenant.
  • Will they remain loyal to each other in both the sense of their cause and their relationship? These are two separate things after all
  • What if a “hero” becomes involved?
  • If the two conquerors meet someone else interesting, will it spark jealousy or are do they take a more poly approach?

Made to Order (MtO)
Made to Order
The new clone steps out of its shipping package, having just come online and eager to serve its new master. In this world, clones are custom-tailored to their job role, and have fewer rights than a “real” human — next to none actually. But what this clone doesn’t know is their new assignment isn’t an ordinary one; it will have widespread repercussions on the system as a whole.
Main Characters: the clone and their new owner
NPCs: TBD
Plot hook ideas:

  • What if the clone’s new owner is a clones’ rights activist, looking to somehow use this clone to infiltrate the system and bring it down?
  • Or will the circumstances somehow lead to the clone awakening to their situation and rising up against the system themselves?
  • Does the clone’s new owner treat them well, poorly, or neutrally?
  • Are the clones ordinary people or do they have abilities beyond a regular human?
  • Does the clone adjust easily to being “awakened” or is there a calibration period? Do they have to be taught things or do they come pre-equipped with knowledge somehow? Can a factory reset be done?
  • What happens when a clone “malfunctions”?

These ideas are less developed but no less interesting.
Fly, Valkyrie! (FV)
Fly, Valkyrie!
I have five words for you: Modern-day Viking Air Force AU.
Main Characters: TBD

Fake Married (FM) – CLAIMED
Fake Married
This is a simpler idea based around two characters being forced to get married to each other, accidentally end up married, or otherwise pose as a married couple.
Characters: TBD
Plot hook ideas:

  • Two spies infiltrating a couples resort are forced to pose as a couple
  • Two adventurers trying to access a zealously guarded mystically treasure inadvertently undertake a magically binding marriage ceremony
  • A smuggler who owes a massive amount of money to the space mafia is forced to marry the boss's son/daughter

Willingly Enchained (WE)

This is a similar idea to the above, except for whatever reason the two main characters are forced to pose as master and slave.
Characters: TBD
Plot hook ideas:

  • Is it a sci-fi setting? Fantasy? Something else?
  • Are they infiltrating a group of slave traders?
  • What if the character forced to pose as the “owner” isn’t used to being in charge?
  • Is one of them royalty, required to have a slave to maintain appearances?

Various fandoms I enjoy and would be happy to do an RP in:
DC, Marvel, Star Trek, Star Wars, The Dresden Files, and others

the old stuff
Here are a couple of ideas from my old thread that I’ve preserved for posterity. I would still be willing to write any of these.
Therapy (THE)
Therapy
One of the greatest criminal masterminds the city had ever seen, who ruled the streets and inspired terror everywhere they went. Their number one partner crime is their lover and thrall. One day the criminal is captured and thrown in an asylum. Eventually their partner breaks them out, only to find a combination of drug cocktails and electroshock therapy has made them a shell of their former self. So the partner in crime, now finding themselves effectively in charge, decides to try and change them back.
Main Characters: the criminal mastermind and the partner in crime
NPCs: other members of the gang, their enemies, cops
Plot hook ideas:

  • What does the thrall do now that they’re in a position of power?
  • How do they go about trying to change the mastermind back? Or do they seize power for themselves?
  • Is the mastermind a legit supervillain? Is there a hero who tries to stop them?
  • This could also be a straight-up ripoff of the Joker and Harley Quinn

Don’t Call It a Comeback (DCIC)
Don’t Call It a Comeback
One of the most well-known superheroes, beloved by many, disappears after being blamed for a terrible incident that killed many innocent bystanders. Years later, a fan of the hero takes a closer look at a transient living near their home and realizes they’re the hero in disguise. The fan decides they’re going to help their hero make a comeback whether they want it or not.
Main Characters: the hero and the fan
NPCs: TBD (other heroes? villains? people in the fan’s life?)
Plot hook ideas:

  • How does the fan convince them to make a comeback?
  • Have the hero’s powers atrophied from disuse?
  • What was the incident that drove the hero underground in the first place?
  • Are there other heroes in this setting? Villains?

Ash

Ashmedaal Iskibriya kan Sesabtaa, A.K.A. Ash the Seducer
Age: 1,900
Sex: Male (most of the time)
Species: Incubus (demonic subspecies)
Goal: To serve his own interests, to meddle with mortals, and to annoy the Authorities of Heaven and Hell as much as goddamned possible
Height: variable (ranging between 5’7” and 6’6”)
Weight: 87.666 kg
Character description: Although Ash can shift between a certain range of heights and body types to optimally attract his targets (and even switch genders, although doing so causes him great discomfort and disorientation, thus he tries to do so as infrequently as possible), he cannot change his “base” appearance: skin of a Mediterranean or Arabic tone, shoulder-length light blonde hair, jet black eyebrows, and a prettyboy face that looks like it was carved for maximized smugness. When among humans, he looks like a normal (albeit extremely attractive) human being with eyes of an icy blue or deep fuchsia. But if someone identifies him correctly as an incubus, they will become able to see his tail, pointed ears, hircine horns, prehensile tail, and magma-coloured eyes with inky black sclera. Unlike true demons, however, his “real” appearance is exactly as seen in the above picture. Incubi and succubi take on a certain human aspect and thus are not hideous monsters like their demonic cousins. Although Ash does not strictly need to eat, drink, sleep, or breathe, he experiences discomfort if he goes too long without doing any of those. Masturbation, on the other hand, is practically a necessity.

Bio: Ash is young as incubi go, and possesses all of the arrogance that youth brings. He has an anti-authoritarian streak a mile wide, and sometimes goes out of his way to pick the course of action that would piss off whatever authorities are applicable, even when doing so would conflict with his own interests. This contrariness for the sake of contrariness is probably his biggest weakness. Other immortal beings would say his greatest weakness is his compassion, although the compassion of an incubus makes parasitic wasps seem downright friendly by comparison. Still, Ash almost never feeds on his prey to the point of irreparable harm, and this makes him weaker than average, as incubi go, in terms of raw power. He makes up for it, however, in skill. Ash is a master seducer with over 17,000 conquests to his name. Yet he loves the human animal, and has a magpie-like fascination with human culture. He is languid, philosophical, and easily distracted—except when it comes to his prey.

History: Ash was born in the pits of Sheol barely a century after the dawn of Christianity. He came to maturity in ancient Rome and enjoyed many of the opportunities afforded a young incubus in that time. During the Great Drought (incubus/succubus terminology for the Middle Ages, when cultural suppression of human sexuality made it extremely difficult to feed), he watched the forces of Hell cannibalize themselves. He grew to despise the Powers Above, but neither has he any love for the Legions Below. Thus he began taking almost orgasmic glee in flipping the bird (both metaphorically and literally) at both sides of the conflict.

At age 1,414 he attempted what few incubi try: an ongoing relationship with a succubus. Relations between succubi and incubi generally result from desperation and a lack of wherewithal to consume human prey, and are almost always brief, violent, and unsatisfying, like trying to suck lemon juice out of a rock. In Mœrda di Shaydaan Siilka, however, Ash found a partner in crime. They teamed up to seduce husband and wife simultaneously, destroying many a marriage. But it wore thin after a few centuries and they parted ways. Mœrda, perhaps not quite over their dalliance, tried to continue the high-stakes game on her own. She upped the ante, taking on a man of the cloth who was strong in his faith. It destroyed her. Her destruction turned Ash into a bit of a nihilist, insofar as an immortal being can be a nihilist. It also gave rise to his obsession with human popular culture.

Nowadays, Ash maintains dwellings on the mortal plane, one in Sweden and the other in the southwestern United States. He is not wealthy, but maintains a steady income by working as a model and an artist, augmented by the considerable interest his investments have accrued over the years. He has some experience with weapons and hand-to-hand combat, but those areas don’t really overlap with his lifestyle. He usually prefers to use his wits to avoid conflict, where possible. He firmly believes it is better to seduce the Pureblood and put her in his thrall. That way he won’t have to keep her captive by force, because if he capture her mind then she will always bring herself back to him.

Abilities / Weaknessesp/
Your Innermost Desires — Provided a being identifies as female and is not specifically shielded against telepathy, Ash will immediately know her sexual preferences: orientation, appetites, preferred positions, where she likes to be touched, etcetera. This sometimes extends to the subconscious and reveals desires the target did not know she had, even those that are taboo. Although this power does not function the same way on a male target, it can sometimes reveal his innermost fear or some trigger to make him submit or flee. When used on beings of variable or non-binary gender, this power can have wildly unexpected results. Ash will not retain the information when not in the same room as the target or when focusing on more than one additional target.

A Form You Are Comfortable With — As a derivative of the above power, Ash can assume the form of the target’s “ultimate lover”—that is to say, the superlative fantasy sex partner she would imagine for herself. If there are two targets simultaneously, Ash can appear differently to each of them or try to assume a combined, compromissary form that appeals to both of them, but two is the maximum number. If Ash spends a few hours studying the target, he can appear as someone close to her: a lover, loved one, or other associate. However, mimicking the personality of an existing person is extremely difficult and only works if the target has been “softened up” first (intoxicated, seduced, senses otherwise dulled, deprived of sleep). For a male target, Ash can appear as someone they would fear. However, if a target explicitly identifies Ash as an incubus, or is told specifically that Ash is an incubus, or uses glamour illusions on a regular basis, then the target will see Ash in his true form from that point onwards.

Gender Bender — Although Ash typically identifies as male, he can assume female form (usually to pursue a bisexual or lesbian target). Unlike the above examples, this is a physical transformation. Even if his glamour is seen through or dispelled, he will still appear female because his body has physically become female. Switching from male to female and back again is a process that takes a minimum of sixty seconds, immobilizes Ash during the transformation and causes him intense pain.

Feeding Time — When Ash is able to initiate sexual contact with a willing target (the target has to consent on some level, although with the tricks at Ash’s disposal it isn’t usually hard to convince), he can begin to feed on her within seventy seconds. Ash consumes a target’s “life force”, or what might be thought of as her soul. The process itself is not painful; the target experiences sexual ecstasy and lasting euphoria, well beyond anything they could experience with a mortal partner. While this does not have a quantifiable, measurable effect, the aftermath leaves a human target feeling emotionally and physically drained. Depending how much Ash takes, the target may become paralyzed, comatose, or catatonic. If he fully consumes a human, she will die. Her organs will shut down and her higher brain functions will simply stop, with no determinable cause of death. Ash prefers to leave his prey alive, however. Ash can feed on male humans, but the process requires prolonged physical contact while the target is immobilized and he only gains a tenth of the energy; the target doesn’t experience the same euphoria, only a generalized numbness. He can also feed off of unwilling females, but doing so causes the target psychological pain and immediately induces a flight response. If Ash were to feed thus, he could only get small handfuls of power, like a biting out a chunk of meat, before the target escapes.

What Does the Scanner Say About His Power Level — When Ash feeds, the energy he consumes goes into a “reserve” of sorts, like the fuel tank in a car, to be burned as needed. The strength and extent of his abilities depends on his percentage at the time. At 0%, he basically becomes a regular human (though not mortal). When at 0%, Ash must find a meal within 24 hours or his condition will rapidly deteriorate. Human targets cannot provide more than a 50% fill unless Ash kills them, in which case the result is a 100% fill. Ash can go above 100%, but the excess energy will vanish if not used within six hours. Ash cannot feed on vampires (although he can still derive sexual enjoyment from them). Feeding on dhampyrs is possible, although the amount of power obtained is cut in half. Werewolves are the ideal partners, as Ash can easily fill himself to 100% without harming the target (although she may experience dizziness and sluggish reflexes afterwards). Faeries (or other immortal creatures, such as elves) provide ten times the power of a human, but feeding upon them takes ten times as long and is exponentially more difficult due to faeries’ suspicious and capricious nature. The resultant energy can have the same effect on Ash as rich food or strong alcohol on a human being. Feeding on a demon can temporarily sustain Ash in the same way an I.V. drip can keep a person alive, but is utterly tasteless and unsatisfying. Other creatures such as arachne can take longer to feed on, depending how old they are. If Ash were to describe it, he’d say their life force was “thicker”—more akin to maple syrup than water, and thus tougher to extract. By the same token, the energy obtained is more potent and lasts much longer.
Note: The effects of an incubus feeding upon an angelic or other divine being are not fully understood as such examples are so extremely rare. Anecdotal evidence varies from the incubus in question gaining new abilities (such as flight) to “overloading” and being erased from existence.

Rock Me Asmodeus — Ash perpetually radiates an aura of lustfulness. Females who come into contact with it experience sexual arousal (provided they have not been specially shielded beforehand), even if they know Ash’s true nature. Males experience a powerful urge to leave, submit, or stay out of Ash’s way. Eye contact doubles the effect, and skin-to-skin contact amplifies it fourfold. At 100% power, he can extend it to encompass a 10 metre radius centred on himself. By focusing it into a narrow beam as wide as a person, he can double that range. If he wishes not to be disturbed or alert others of his presence, he can withdraw the aura into himself—but anyone who touches him or whom he touches will still feel its effects.

Friends With Benefits — Ash’s energy reserves augment his physical abilities. At 100%, he can lift 2.5 tonnes, shatter concrete, dent steel, and run at 100kph, although doing these things will quickly deplete his supply. Incubi are not built for fighting, and Ash usually relies on seduction and guile to get out of scrapes. He is vulnerable to physical damage just like a human but is blessed with a regenerative capacity. At anywhere between 1% and 50% power, Ash heals twice as fast as a human. At 100% or above, he can regenerate tissue almost faster than it can be destroyed. If he bleeds out, his body will simply continue to function normally until it replenishes its blood supply. Severed limbs can be reattached, which is much faster than waiting for them to grow back. If he is decapitated, his body becomes inert until he can convince someone to reattach his head.

Human Appetites — As an incubus and not a “true” demon, Ash requires food and water. Without them, he will not die, but if he goes more than three days without eating or drinking he will develop a persistent and distracting discomfort. It could be compared to tinnitus, or the pain of a phantom limb, or an itch that just won’t go away. His body doesn’t produce waste, doesn’t menstruate when in female form, and doesn’t sweat unless he wants to. Regardless of when he last fed, Ash has to masturbate to completion at least once a day or else his motor functions will start to deteriorate and the compulsion to touch himself will become stronger and stronger. Ash breathes normally but if deprived of oxygen his lungs will simply cease functioning until such time as he is exposed to air again. Incubus semen is a potent component in several magical spells but evaporates rapidly unless placed in a specially-prepared vessel.

Starvation — When Ash is at 0% and goes 24 hours without finding a meal, his condition rapidly decays as follows:
One day: Excruciating hunger pangs, like a human who has gone three weeks without food
One week: Loss of ability to appear human
One month: Loss of 50% of body weight, skin takes on desiccated appearance
One year: Complete loss of tangible, physical body; Ash is basically a spectre incapable of affecting solid objects

Out of the Picture — Incubi cannot be expelled from our dimension the way true demons can, but magical spells used to trap or repel demons work just fine on incubi. Summoning spells do not work on incubi, although Ash will still feel a strong “tug” toward a particular place. The best way to stop Ash permanently is to destroy 90% of his body mass. Without a physical form, he will vanish into the Hell realms and it could take him months or even years to find his way back to the physical world. Certain banishment rituals, if performed while Ash is trapped inside a ceremonial circle, can turn his body to ashes and exile him from the material plane… but such rites and the practitioners capable of performing them are few and far between. Holy water, or a divine emblem held by someone who truly believes in it, will give Ash third-degree burns that don’t heal until he feeds again (these burns are visible even on his illusory bodies). Religious scriptures recited by someone who truly believes in them deafens Ash and inflicts debilitating pain on him. Incantations and enchantments that repel demons also work on incubi. Touching a talisman of true love (such as a wedding ring from a successful marriage, or a gift given to the bearer by someone who truly loves them) causes Ash excruciating pain and petrifies his skin.

Miscellaneous — Ash is proficient in Krav Maga and the use of handguns and long guns, because even when you’re a supernaturally-empowered lust demon you still have run-ins with jealous husbands and jilted boyfriends. He speaks Aramaic, English, French, Spanish, Latin, Mandarin, and Swedish, plus werewolf tongue. He knows several words and phrases in Elvish but they are all insults or sexual innuendos. His tail is prehensile, so he can use it to grasp things or commit perverse, depraved sex acts.

Kieran Casimiro Torres
"Conduit"

~BASICS~
AGE: 17 (April 30th)

SEX: Male

HEIGHT: 5'11"

ORIENTATION: Straight

RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single

TYPE: Science whiz, bullying victim

PARENTS:
Gustavo Luis Maximiliano Julián Torres

Deirdre Tallulah Torres (née Calhoun)
– deceased

APPEARANCE: wavy, dark brown hair that gets lighter in winter; icy blue eyes, almost silver; lean, tending towards scrawny if he had not filled in over the last year or so; pale, his Latin blood being the only barrier between his skin and white as a ghost; one tiny tattoo (a concession from his father for his birthday because it was inexpensive and ostensibly religious), 2 Peter 3:10 just below the nape of his neck.

~POWER~
Energy absorption/generation. At first this is limited to kinetic energy, although he eventually unlocks other types. He can absorb kinetic energy proactively, or reactively (although he must be conscious for it to work). Energy he absorbs can be stored inside him to be released later. He can amplify what he has absorbed, to a limited extent, or add his own personal reserves; but when he is "tapped out" he needs to replenish, via high caloric intake or simply getting someone/something to pummel the crap out of him.
Kinetic —  can be absorbed through just about any part of his body, and released through his extremities, head or centre chest.
Heat —  can only be absorbed through his mouth, and released through his mouth or eyes.
Electrical —  can only be absorbed through his left hand, and released through his right.

~FLAW~
His powers are tied to his emotions, so the less stable they are, the less stable his powers are. The more energy he is currently storing inside him, the harder it becomes for him to think clearly, and the more dangerous he becomes to those around him. If he reaches his limit (which even he does not know), he becomes a danger to himself and everyone around him, as the energy will abruptly release itself as a flash burn or even an EMP. What's more, when storing a lot of energy his sense of touch is diminished. A sledgehammer blow might feel like a gentle tap, and a caress would not even register. He can forget about stealth, as his presence tends to have side effects: bad wireless reception, flickering lights, fritzing screens, rooms becoming too warm or too cold.

On a personal front, Kieran creates trouble for himself by carrying grudges. He has a petty, spiteful streak that still shows up now and again, and he gets overly attached to people, especially lovers, more than is healthy. He has never acted violently or abusive to a friend or girlfriend, however. He lacks self-awareness and sucks at dealing with rejection or resentment. Despite his keen observation of people, he sometimes is too quick to judge or assume.

~BIO~
Raising Kieran was not easy; he was an inquisitive child, ahead of his peers in mental maturity, with an IQ that tested off the charts in kindergarten. When he was 7 Deirdre contracted a painful bone disease. For two years they moved around, never living anywhere more than ten months, trying to save money and stay close to the necessary hospitals where Deirdre received her expensive treatments. Then, only a week after his 9th birthday, she passed away. Gustavo became unsupportive in every way, and spent most of the eight years since drinking himself into a stupor and further into debt. While never physically violent, he successfully convinced Kieran that Deirdre's illness and death were the boy's fault.

Middle school was a trying time for Kieran. Bullies tormented him mercilessly; with no sign of help on the horizon from either the faculty or his father, Kieran brought a box cutter to school and was immediately suspended. The incident captured local journalists' attention, and in the ensuing negative attention the school received, educational officials took it out on Gustavo, who in turn took it out on his son. In Kieran's first year of high school he fell in with the wrong crowd, started calling himself "Caz" and took to playing hooky, setting fires, and destroying school property. Wary of more negative press, the school board offered him a choice: expulsion, or transfer to a different school just over the district line. That school was Major Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson, selected by his guidance counsellor who found him an in with his high aptitude scores. When he started, he was the ultimate loner and a bit antisocial, but that all changed when he met his science teacher.

With her encouragement, Kieran began to excel in the sciences, especially Physics. He applied for a position with the school newspaper and joined the chess team. As it happens, he has some strategical aptitude when he can keep his temper in check. Still, he carries a (sometimes unjustified) chip on his shoulder against jocks and other "popular" kids.

~REPUTATION~
Kieran is a dichotomy to some MMWN students. His acerbic tongue led to him playing the punching bag more than once, and he was known as a jock-hater until he suddenly became friends with Dontae. That stands in stark contrast to his association with the other Dante, further confusing the issue. He seems... erratic. One minute he's in a happy relationship with a girl his own age, the next he's crushing hard on a girl he does not know all that well. To most he is a friend of a friend, that lean, pale kid who looks like he might stab somebody—until he smiles. Those who have seen his smile, and know about his home life, see him as a nerd who needs to straighten his shit out. What girls do look his way are either repulsed by tales of his delinquent past, or perhaps hints of some storm cloud on his horizon; or they discover the intelligent, wanly attractive young man within the shell. He has also tutored other students on occasion, and even those who think he is a freak see his usefulness.

Post-Incident

"It doesn't matter what they tell you you're capable of. Everyone will try to put you in a box, whether out of resentment, competition, or misguided concern for your 'safety'. Ignore them, or better yet prove them wrong. That's my plan. Because none of you have any idea what I can do."

~YEARBOOK~

Dante Young — Kieran latched onto Dante right away after their meeting, and they have a sort of alliance. Dante is what Kieran aspires to be: aloof, controlled, and successful. He usually goes where Dante goes, and considers Dante a friend, even though Dante doesn't really have friends.

Grace Young — Not sure what to make of Dante's seeming airhead of a sister, Kieran gives her a wide berth but ends up spending time with her anyway due to being around Dante a lot. She interests him both sexually, and in the sense of the puzzle she represents; Kieran does not so much sense her hidden depths, as he simply cannot believe Dante's sister would be so unlike him. Stay tuned.

Mr. Alexander Lucius Valentine — Kieran dislikes Mr. Valentine, but not for personal reasons; rather, circumstances have forced him into the position of Kieran's nemesis. English is Kieran's worst subject and, what's more, part of his transfer to MMWN stipulated weekly sessions with the school's guidance counsellor... Mr. Valentine. So during school hours Kieran struggles with poor marks and passed deadlines under the man's gaze, and then in his off hours has to sit on the other side of a desk and tell the same man about his problems. It makes for a very unpleasant situation.

Clea Halliwell — Kieran has run into Clea through computer class a few times, but could think of no easy way to approach her and so there is no real connection there. His science nerd side is fascinated by her implant but he feels it would be rude to ask.

Erika Greene — Kieran immediately sensed a kindred spirit in Erika: Highly intelligent, victimized by bullies, harbouring darkness, shepherded through the straits of MMWN by someone higher in the social echelon... it was like a checklist of commonalities. Under Dante's advisement, however, he waited to approach her. When he finally did, she turned his dance invitation down. Undeterred, Kieran continues to nurture an unhealthy crush on Erika, hoping to get to know her well enough so he can ask again.

Vermeille "Elle" Fox — Kieran knew Elle before he ever attended Major Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson. Back when he was cutting classes and running around with troublemakers, Elle was part of that group. He became one of her so-called boy toys for awhile, although he never got hooked on anything she was peddling. When he found out he would be changing schools he tried to put her out of his mind. Now that their paths have crossed again, he is struggling to resist her siren call.

Maya Morales — Kieran and Maya were best friends from a very young age. Her parents knew Gustavo through the city's Hispanic community. Throughout the later years of elementary school, they helped each other out. Kieran was good at the scientific side of schoolwork, and Maya helped him survive Phys Ed. Then when junior high rolled around, Kieran found himself living in a new neighbourhood and foundering without his best friend. They were apart until he transferred to MMWNHS, and once there they instantly reconnected. Now they have a quiet but extremely deep connection. At parties or gatherings they tend to gravitate towards a solitary place by themselves. Kieran would do just about anything for Maya.

Josh Powers — Kieran knows Josh through anger management, and has effectively become the Nightwing to his Batman. Josh has been teaching him martial arts here and there, and become a sort of mentor so long as Kieran avoids Josh's triggers.

Dontae Jamal King — Kieran's first meeting with Dontae was while on the receiving end of a beating from some knuckle-draggers to whom Kieran had the misguided urge to snap back. At first he gave the aspiring rapper the brushoff, but then his mind began to see the benefit of hanging around such an imposing, socially-savvy guy (much like the little birds that live in a crocodile's mouth). That blossomed into something approaching genuine friendship, as Kieran stopped rebuffing Dontae's kindness and ended up under his wing. Through the Don (the one time Kieran has stooped to nicknames), Kieran overcame his irrational dislike of jocks and began attending—gasp—parties.

Madison "Maddie" Elise Tanner — Kieran met Maddie at one of the parties Dontae convinced him to attend, and likes her genuinely. She's sweet and genuinely nice, not at all like the cheerleader types from his old school. He shares very little in the way of interests with her, but enjoys her company. He is also tutoring her in the sciences and whatever other subjects she needs help with and he has time for, and probably harbours a crush on her.

~INTERVIEW~
1. How many pets do you own? What is your favourite kind of pet? "Gustavo says we can't afford pets. I vaguely remember having a guinea pig at one point. I named him Sammy Sosa. I wasn't into baseball or anything, I just thought the name sounded cool."

2. What is your favourite flower? "A flower? Uh, daffodils? Anything but snapdragons."

3. What is your favourite colour? "Hunter green."

4. What is your favourite kind of music?  "Dubstep. The good stuff, not that shit Skrillex puts out. Breaking Benjamin. Juno Reactor. Ayreon."

5. What do you want to do career-wise in the future? "Hmph. Dunno. Enforcer of natural selection would be nice, but uh... Okay, it's kind of stupid, but I want to, y'know. The kind of stuff they do at the hadron collider."

6. Favourite movie? "The Dark Knight. Oh, and Star Trek Into Darkness. The plot is retarded as fuck, but Khan is cool."

7. Favourite food? "Hamburger Helper with steak sauce."

8. Least favourite food? "Hospital food."

9. Blood type? "AB negative. What kind of dumb question is that?"

10. Worst nightmare? "I'm beside my mother's deathbed. But then Maya's in the next bed over. And I put them there."

11. What's your type (Of guy/girl)? "Intelligent, and strong. Physically strong."

12. Dream vacation? "I guess Disneyworld. Or Six Flags. Y'know. Whatever."

13. What is your favourite book? "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. When I was ten I used to think Hagrid would show up and take me to the American version of Hogwarts."

14. What is your most hated book? "The Lord of the Rings, mainly because the ending is so fucking stupid."

15. What is your favourite animal (not pet, animal)? "Crocodiles. Nobody fucks with crocodiles."

16. What is your best memory? "My Tía Jacinta used to take me to the movies, and afterwards we would go out for ice cream. When I was 13 she took me to see Inception, even though I knew she didn't really want to go. Afterwards, she bought me an extra-large sundae and told me she had something of my mom's. It was an old heirloom, a Celtic trinity symbol on a leather thong. Tía said that to her parents the Trinity meant Father, Son and Holy Ghost, but to my mother's ancestors it meant a lot of different things like mother, father and child, or past, present and future. She apologized for stealing it when my mom died, because she feared (correctly) that Gus would trash or sell all of mother's stuff right away. Tía always liked my mom. She said Deirdre was 'the one thing Goosie did right in his life.' She said she took the necklace because she wanted me to have it someday. I don't know if I properly appreciated it at the time, but I thanked her. Turns out that would be one of the last times I would see Tía. Dad hates his own family almost as much as he hates mom's, and we never see them even at Christmas anymore."

17. What is your worst memory? "Fuck you, I hope you walk under a bus."
(Author's Note: It was the day his mother died. He was there for her last breaths. His father wasn't.)

18. Favourite quote (book, film or otherwise)? "Oh, you think the darkness is your ally, but you merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding! The shadows betray you, because they belong to me."
– Bane, The Dark Knight Rises

19. Favourite Disney movie? "The Incredibles."

20. Favourite fictional hero? "Wolverine."

21. Favourite fictional villain? "Moriarty, hands down."

22. Ideal first date? "We get chauffeured in a fancy limo to an expensive restaurant, someplace that's been in the papers but still has good food. We have whatever we want, then we take in a show: stage play, movie, opera, live music—whatever. After that it's off to the city's most exclusive VIP nightclub to dance the night away. Eventually we'll end up at a five-star hotel for whatever erotic diversions tickle our fancies. That's my ideal date, and it'll never happen."

23. What is the meaning of life? "Never figured out the meaning of life. If I ever do, I'll let you know. We're all circling the drain, and the only thing that means anything after you die is how respected or feared you were."

24. What's your #1 fantasy? (Doesn't have to be sexual) "I have this recurring dream. In it, everything is perfectly normal until one of those macho assholes starts something. I glare at him, and he just... explodes. There's a bright light, and he's gone. I destroyed him just by thinking about it. And everything snowballs from there. Gustavo's the next to go. I don't even give him a chance to repent of his crimes. The power just keeps growing. The police can't control me, the army can't either. Pretty much everyone has to do what I say, or suffer the consequences. I'm not even limited to what I can do, but I can make others do things for me that I can't. Every woman says "Yes" to me, but I can't figure out if it's because they want to or if they're just afraid of me, and that makes me angry. But you know what is the worst part? With all my power, I can't bring my mother back."

25. What quality of yours do you feel is your greatest strength? "My intelligence. It's about the only thing I have going for me. Although I've been told I have a big dick."

26. What is your greatest weakness?/what is one thing you would change about yourself? "I'm weak. Pathetic. Too emotional. Never think things through, never use situations to my advantage. After something happens I think of a thousand things I could have said, a thousand ways I could have gained the upper hand, but it's always too late. Also I wish I was taller, more muscular, and handsomer."

27. Do you game? If so, which is your preferred platform? "You mean video games? I never had those. Played them at friends' houses sometimes. Call of Duty, Halo, Smash Bros., Guitar Hero, although I was never very good at any of them. I prefer chess. I'm good at chess. Oh, and I used to play D&D in middle school. I think it was 4th edition? They let us play in the cafeteria after school. We mostly shared the same dice. One time Mr. Kenworth, the history teacher, said fourth edition was crap and we should play something called three-point-five. He brought a bunch of books and a mat with a grid on it and a shitload of tiny figurines and ran a campaign for us. It was different but still fun. Haven't really played since I started high school, though."

28. Favourite board game? "Does chess count?"

29. Favourite sport, if any? "I don't have one. Football is stupid, wrestling is fake, basketball is repetitive and baseball should be classified as a war crime. Gustavo watches soccer religiously, but fuck that. Who wants to spend three hours watching some overpaid Europeans chase a ball around? When I was little my mom liked watching equestrian events. Horse jumping, she called it. I liked seeing all the different hurdles the horses had to jump over, and sometimes it was exciting to see if they would make it or not. I suppose a guy my age should be watching UFC, but personally I think it's the gayest thing I've ever seen. Two guys rolling around on the floor, groping each other, half-heartedly slapping at each other once in awhile in a vain attempt to convince us they aren't enjoying it, or at least haven't fallen asleep. Actually, now that I think of it, hockey isn't too bad."

Coleman Alan Tremblay III
"Canvas"

~BASICS~
AGE: 18 (June 6th)

SEX: Male

HEIGHT: 6'4"

ORIENTATION: mostly straight

RELATIONSHIP STATUS: polyamorous, currently seeing Clea

TYPE: Jock, creative type, pot-smoking hippie

PARENTS: Inderjit Rupinder Tremblay (née Randhawa), Coleman Garnett Tremblay

APPEARANCE: light brown, blonde-tinged hair; toffee-coloured eyes and tan skin that attests to his biracial heritage; 6'3" athletic frame weighing in at just under 180 lbs, with a hemp tattoo on his left pectoral, a depiction of a human heart in the anatomically correct location on his chest, and a work-in-progress Avengers tat on his right bicep.

~POWER~
Solid construct generation. The harder and longer he concentrates on a particular construct, the stronger and more potent it is, and he can summon things from his memories or imagination. At first he will be limited to one or two constructs, no bigger than a person, but slowly and with practice he can work his way up to car-size, then house-size, and up to six constructs at a time.

~FLAW~
If his mind wanders too much while creating a construct, it can change into something else, act against his wishes or disappear entirely. Generating constructs carelessly will reveal his private thoughts to others, who might use it against him. If he lacks sufficient focus or creativity, or tries to take on too much at once, his construct(s) can become thin and ineffectual, more like ghostly three-dimensional sketches than physical objects. Creating things that are wholly imaginary also runs risks of disastrous unintended consequences. With "real" things there is still the risk of inaccuracy, due to the limitations of human memory. The more things he envisions/recreates, the greater risk of him losing touch with reality. Perhaps the biggest drawback is Alan failing to realize the full extent of his power's potential. He also has a habit of being casually dishonest (while somehow remaining likeable due to his high charisma), especially with sexual partners, and then there is his hydrophobia.

~BIO~
Alan is as carefree as they come. He's an artist, drawer and painter, who hopes to get into the comic book industry someday. Despite being a jock and fairly popular, any cruelty to the lower cliques on his part is mainly due to carelessness or obliviousness. He's a marijuana smoker, bit of a hippie/skater type and he is athletic. His grandparents are fairly wealthy, his parents too, and he has enjoyed a comfortable home life and smooth upbringing.

His mother, the trophy wife, is an Indian model his father (Coleman Tremblay, Jr.) met on a business trip. She dotes on Alan, and is openly supportive of his ventures despite being convinced he is gay. Alan and his father get along on the surface, but there are some undercurrents of friction there. Alan uses his middle name to differentiate himself from his father and oppressive grandfather, who refuses to believe Alan will have any career except in finance (despite being utterly unsuited to it). He feels directionless, adrift in a sea of meaningless excess, ironic given his deep-seated fear of water. So in some ways he has become selfish, figuring the best way to find his way in life is to take what he can get.

Alan sold his first piece of art when he was fifteen, but any further efforts were discouraged by his family; thus he runs an anonymous tumblr account under an alias, through which he makes decent amounts on commission. He received a BMW for his sixteenth birthday but rarely drives it, preferring instead to tool around in a 1959 Chevrolet El Camino. It's his baby, and he has fully restored it with a completely new engine, with plans to convert it to a hybrid in the near future.

~REPUTATION~
Alan is popular! His charisma, amazing looks, and imagination make him a hit with the ladies; and his sweet ride, his ready supply of marijuana and eagerness to shoot hoops or go cruising make him buds with the dudes. He has an undeserved reputation as a surf rat, a frat-boy type who might call you "bra", but he has a secret geeky side he shares with few. One of those is Clea, whom he has been seeing lately. She is not the first of his conquests, nor does he treat her like anything other than the lady she is; however, Alan is not perfect. In the past he has been a bit of a cheat, a flirt, and a Casanova. Since his relationship (with Maya) ended, he identifies as polyamorous, although he is not always as upfront about it with potential partners as he could be. Some haters unjustifiably call him "rich kid", but he never flaunts his family's wealth, and never goes out of his way to pick on nerds despite being a consummate jock in some ways. He loves MMWNHS even though he goofs off a fair bit, and still finds time to be involved in the school's art club and auto mechanic shop. He was captain of the volleyball team for two years, and has a nice singing voice; the glee club wants him bad but he has rebuffed their efforts after a few stints in choir. He is active in the drama club, comic book club, and plays basketball in his spare time, and skateboards.

Post-Incident

"All my life was just the prelude. Now... I'm more than I was. I can help people. I can save them. I can save everyone."

~YEARBOOK~

Dante Young — Alan knows what it's like to come from a wealthy family, but rankles at Dante's calculating ways and mechanical demeanour. Once he saw how Dante tried to look out for the underdog, however, he came to respect the man in a new light. He calls Dante "Spock", to ease the tension, but has trouble connecting with someone so distant and deliberately aloof.

Grace Young — Alan has had more luck with Grace, and  has hooked up with her more than once, but that was a past dalliance and sadly she no longer is interested. Still, he remains on good terms with her, and nicknamed her "Youngblood".

Mr. Alexander Lucius Valentine — Next to Art, Alan's favorite class is English; so right out of the gate he has a positive view of "Mr. V." Alan spends as little time as possible in the guidance counselor's office, so he has less interaction with Mr. V on that front—but still more than he'd like. In sophomore year he was busted on school property with a small amount of marijuana and rather than involve authorities, the school elected to mandate counselling sessions with Mr. V. Alan has opened up to him a bit about his polyamory and feeling lost and directionless.

Erika Greene — Alan knows her from the art club. His parents think she would be a great match for him, since she comes from significant wealth. Alan senses the darkness in her, but part of it appeals to his own dark side and he thinks she is fun to hang around. No nickname yet.

Maya Morales — Maya was Alan's first serious relationship. They met in middle school, and he began hanging around her dad's auto shop. Soon they struck up a teenage romance, which ended after their freshman year at MMWNHS when they realized they were just too different. They remain friends (with occasional awkwardness), and Alan still works at her father's shop, and also plays basketball with her brother Luis. His nickname for her has always been "the Flash."

Dontae Jamal King — Alan respects Dontae as a sportsman, but thinks his creative side (as an aspiring rapper) is far more interesting. Calls him "Doc" or "the Doctor", a reference to Martin Luther King, Jr. (because his surname is King, not because he's black, you racists).

Madison "Maddie" Elise Tanner — Maddie is one of the first people Alan will chat up at a party, and he definitely puts the moves on her. His nickname for her is Juliet, referencing the Lollipop Chainsaw protagonist.

~INTERVIEW~
1. How many pets do you own?  What is your favourite kind of pet? "When I was little we had a golden retriever called Rouper. We were inseparable, until he died a few years ago. Now my mom has one of those stupid little fuzzy dogs that always looks like someone is squeezing it too hard. I'd like to get a rat, but mom won't let one in the house. I have a bearded dragon though. His name is Murdoch."

2. What is your favourite flower? "Back when we still had our old gardener, and my mom gave a shit about our garden, there were these expensive imported tulips... they were called dreaming maids. I liked them. It was like they exuded a field of quietness. I liked sitting next to them and sketching or just looking at the clouds."

3. What is your favourite colour? "Uh... does tie-dye count?"

4. What is your favourite kind of music? "Oh, man. I love me some Queen, the New Pornographers, soundtracks to superhero movies. Lately I've been listening to
5. What do you want to do career-wise in the future? "Well, if I could get into the comic book industry that would be great. Marvel, hopefully, or one of the smaller labels. DC doesn't know what the fuck they're doing."

6. Favourite movie? "I have to choose? Shit. Well, if I had to narrow it down, I suppose The Avengers, with Scott Pilgrim vs. the World coming a close second. Or Hot Fuzz. Or anything by Edgar Wright, really."

7. Favourite food? "Cheese naan with lamb masala!"

8. Least favourite food? "Those fake-tasting, white powdered gas station doughnuts. Yuck."

9. Blood type? "O negative, I think... Why? You need some? ;D"

10. Worst nightmare? "Uh... gotta be a toss-up between that one where my penis falls off, grows spider legs and crawls up my asshole, or the one where I turn into Mr. Potter from It's a Wonderful Life."

11. What's your type (Of guy/girl)? "Three to four limbs. Breathing. Possessed of all mental faculties. Age 16 and up. Must not have ever watched Jersey Shore unironically."
(Author's Note: He's not being entirely honest, except about the Jersey Shore thing. He wants a dreamer, someone with whom he can go on an adventure.)

12. Dream vacation? "Backpacking across Tibet."

13. What is your favourite book? "Kind of obscure, but I've always had a fondness for Scruffy: the Tuesday Dog by Jack Stoneley. It's a weirdly charming tale of a stray dog; totally realistic, not at all like The Hundred and One Dalmatians, and highly original. (We have a huge-ass library at my house.)"

14. What is your most hated book? "Not sure if it counts a book, but I absolutely despise The Dark Knight Strikes Again. It's a poorly made pile of shit with fascistic overtones and I cannot understand how Frank Miller keeps finding work."

15. What is your favourite animal (not pet, animal)? "Hmm. I think elephants are pretty great. They're intelligent, strong, nimble, and they can form strong bonds with humans."

16. What is your best memory? "When I sold my first piece of art. Being rewarded by someone acknowledging the value of something I had made with my own two hands... it's a high that can't be duplicated."

17. What is your worst memory? "Being born! You get hauled out of a safe, warm place and suddenly everything is too bright and you're wet, cold and naked. Am I right?"
(Author's Note: He's being facetious again. His worst memory is opening his girlfriend's bedroom door to see her best friend standing there, nude, after sleeping with her.)

18. Favourite quote (book, film or otherwise)? "If you have to look along the shaft of an arrow from the wrong end, if a man has you at his mercy, then hope like hell that man is an evil man. Because the evil like power, power over people, and they want to see you in fear. They want you to know you are going to die. So they'll talk. They'll gloat. They'll watch you squirm. They'll put off the murder like another man will put off a good cigar. So hope like hell your captor is an evil man. A good man will kill you with hardly a word."
– Terry Pratchett, Men at Arms

19. Favourite Disney movie? "The Emperor's New Groove. "Why would I kidnap a llama?" "You're the criminal mastermind, not me!" Pure comedy gold."

20. Favourite fictional hero? "Spider-Man! I should be so lucky to spout humorous quips while hanging upside down and thwarting bad guys."

21. Favourite fictional villain? "That's a tough one. I'll prune it to a top three: Darth Vader, Donquixote Doflamingo, and Sebastian Shaw."

22. "I don't like to decide ahead of time. Something spontaneous. Whatever happens, happens; but if what happens happens to include an art exhibition, skinny dipping and stargazing, that's totally cool."

23. "Leaving a mark. Whether you do that through starting a family, creating something lasting, or just influencing someone else in a positive way, you've done it."

24. "Sometimes I fantasize about skipping town, changing my identity and starting over somewhere else, like Bruce Wayne in The Dark Knight Rises. I could make a living selling my art, maybe find a patron like in the olden days. It's hopelessly unrealistic, but then that's what fantasies are for, right?"

22. Ideal first date? "I don't like to decide ahead of time. Something spontaneous. Whatever happens, happens; but if what happens happens to include an art exhibition, skinny dipping and stargazing, that's totally cool."

23. What is the meaning of life? "Leaving a mark. Whether you do that through starting a family, creating something lasting, or just influencing someone else in a positive way, you've done it."

24. What's your #1 fantasy? (Doesn't have to be sexual) "Sometimes I fantasize about skipping town, changing my identity and starting over somewhere else, like Bruce Wayne in  The Dark Knight Rises. I could make a living selling my art, maybe find a patron like in the olden days. It's hopelessly unrealistic, but then that's what fantasies are for, right?"

25. What quality of yours do you feel is your greatest strength? "My attitude and flexibility, I suppose. I just feel like I can roll with the punches. Ya know?"

26.  What is your greatest weakness?/what is one thing you would change about yourself? "I'm too trusting sometimes... I think I put myself out there too much. I won't change it though. The day ya stop putting yourself out there is the day you cease to be a member of the human race."

27. Do you game? If so, which is your preferred platform? "Oh man, I love classic Nintendo games. My parents got me a GameCube as soon as I was old enough to hold the controller, and I played until my eyes bled. So many good games: Luigi's Mansion, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai, Mario Party 4, Lego Star Wars, Pikmin, Resident Evil 4... Nowadays it mainly collects dust, although me and my buds will bust it out when we're high. When I got a little older mom and dad bought me a PlayStation 3. Assassin's Creed, Grand Theft Auto, Rock Band and LittleBigPlanet got me through puberty. I still buy the occasional game, but I'm not planning on getting the PS4 or anything. I've dabbled in PC gaming, ever since I got my own computer to help with my art. Civilization, Mass Effect and Skyrim, stuff like that. I've also installed some emulators and explored the old school stuff like SMB3, Super Mario World, Mega Man 3, Yoshi's Island, Star Fox, Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid, Donkey Kong Country, and The Legend of Zelda. So uh, I love my video games, I guess."

28. Favourite board game? "Cards Against Humanity, hands down. It taught me that sometimes Batman likes to cheat at the Special Olympics."

29. Favourite sport, if any? "To watch, or to participate in? Because I love playing volleyball but I hate watching it. I don't really watch sports, unless it's the Olympics."

Hello Wongbal  :)

I am interested in starting up a one on one with you.  I really like the Catspaw game you described.  A cat burglar would be ideal for me to play.
