Chrome for iPad doesn't hold login cookie?
« on: May 19, 2014, 04:26:41 am »
I have to log in nearly every time I want to access E on my iPad.

I'm on the current version of OS, Chrome version 34.0.1847.18, which should also be the current one.

I use Safari for work related stuff, so that's why I'm using a different browser for my "fun" stuff. Chrome holds my facebook login just fine.

Anyone else encountered this problem? Any fixes? Change browsers? FF for iPad is horrid. >.<;

I'm afraid I'm not much help beyond saying that I had to re-login today but found I don't normally have to log in much at all. Maybe something changed recently in Chrome or E?

Also, FF on iPad? I'm both curious and wary.

Got used to that after the umpteenth game that wouldn't let me start playing before telling them that I wouldn't tell everyone about them on Facebook. Now, of course, I just have a fake Facebook account that posts to no one :)

Make sure you're allowing cookies on Elliquiy? Not using private browsing?

Chrome works on my iPod just fine, though it is old.

hrm... I'm definitely not using private browsing and allowing cookies. Like I said, FB cookie works fine...

I is.

Don't worry, then. I'll be re-logging, it's not a matter-of-life-or-death issue. ;)

Though I notice I'm having the same problem (latest Chrome on iPad 2), it seems to be when I follow a link from GMail.

Get email update on thread, click "read this reply"
Chrome opens new tab
E asks me to log in
I log in
I read post.
Time passes..
Get email update on another thread, "click read this reply"
Chrome opens new tab
E asks me to log in
I switch to previous tab, hit refresh, page reloads OK
Hit refresh on new tab, login page clears, new reply loads.

Suspect new tab isn't recognising old cookies but I'm rather a novice when it comes to cookie handling.
