Raven Darkholme / Mystique
BASIC INFO:
Legal Name: Raven Darkholme
Codename/Nickname/Aliases: Mystique
Citizenship and other legal info: American Citizen
Place of Birth: Los Angeles, CA
Occupation: Student / Aspiring Model
Education: School

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 130 lbs
Hair color: None
Eye color: Yellow
Gender: Born Male, Currently Sexless.
Ethnicity: American
Age: 18
General Appearance:
True Form: Raven's true form is something that he keeps hidden from everybody that he can. Raven's form is distinctly alien; his skin is a dark blue, his head and body devoid of any hair, and his eyes are yellow with no distinction between iris and sclera. In his true form, he is completely sexless: no breasts or sex organs of any kind.  Raven avoids this form whenever possible, but when he's unconscious, sleeping or has her powers neutralized, he returns to this state.

Standard Default: Raven's abilities allow him to take any form, but the 'default' he shows the world is that of a trim, androgynous, pale blonde. Not depicted in the picture is the red jeweled bindi between his eyebrows.

OTHER INFORMATION:
Orientation: Pansexual, strong preference towards males.
Ons/Offs: Ons: Assertive people that know what they want, 'Powered' Sex, Dominants; Offs: Submissives, low confidence, meek or shy.
Goals: Become a fashion model; Become a spy.
Wealth Level: 3-Typical - Raven has money saved up from a modeling gigs, but it is not steady work.
Personality: Raven wants to be loved and admired. It's a coping mechanism for how hideous his new form has become. He embraces the 'fluidity' of his appearance as an effort to ignore what his true form has become. This belief extends to others, and he encourages mutant-kind to explore their powers. When forced to make a comment, he'll say that he feels mutants are superior to humans.

SCHOOL INFO:
Classes Taken or Taught: Languages, Drama, and Art.
Year: College Freshmen
Club Memberships or Sponsorships: Drama, Gymnastics

STATS:
Fighting: 4-Good Agility: 4-Good to 6-Remarkable Strength: 3-Typical to 5-Excellent Endurance: 3-Typical to 5-Excellent Reason: 4-Good Intuition: 5-Excellent Psyche: 7-Incredible

POWERS:
METAMORPH - Mystique can psionically shift the atoms of his body to duplicate any humanoid of either sex, wearing any kind of clothing. He can precisely duplicate another person’s retina pattern, finger, palm and skin-pore patterns, and vocal cords. He can increase his volume, but not his mass. Mystique’s power grants him age retardation, increased healing, and immunity to drugs and poisons.
As a courtesy to those around him, Mystique incorporates a red jewel on his forehead, between his eyebrows, so that he is identifiable no matter what form he is in.
TELEPATHIC RESISTANCE - Mystique's attempts to mimic other known targets effects him on even a psionic level, making it difficult to read his thoughts and intents.

ADVANTAGES:
PHYSICAL PERFECTION - Mystique's physicality is limited by the form he's taken, but if he has his choice, he can select a body that is in peak physical perfection in regards to strength, agility, and efficiency. Gaining superior strength requires a form that is obviously stronger; it comes from actually having those muscles. These will never breach human maximums, and thus, will never reach any sort of 'super' level.
BORN ACTOR - Mystique has a gift for playing the part. He can see small reactions and fill in the gaps of a person's expectations. He knows how to bluff and misdirect when he is unable to fill the part. He can say just the right thing to get you to give him the information that he should have already had anyway.

DISADVANTAGES:
REQUIRED FAMILIARITY - For targets that are not public figures, Mystique needs some interaction with the target, even from a distance, in order to form the psychic bond required to mimic them. He could try her best to mimic a person based on a description, but the finer details like hidden marks, fingerprints, retina, and scent only come from that bond.
BODY DYSMORPHIC DISORDER - An extreme, and perhaps justified, unhappiness with his 'true form.' Raven tries to hide its existence from anybody she can. Xavier is aware of it, and his willingness to help hide it is part of why he's attending the school.

SKILLS:
NETWORKED: - Starting as a young mysterious model, Raven has hobnobbed with people in the fashion industry, and that bled into entertainment, and that bled into media. He now has a well stocked 'black book' of people that can call on for favors.
UNARMED COMBAT: - In Raven's delusions of grandeur as working as a spy, he'll need to be able to quickly and quietly remove threats. His focus is on unarmed take downs and improvised weaponry.
POLYGLOT: Raven has worked to learn at least enough of multiple languages to hold a basic conversation. He's studied different dialects to learn how to identify and discern them from each other.

HISTORY:
Raven Darkholme was born to wealthy parents in Los Angeles. His father was a plastic surgeon, and his mother a lawyer. He lived a charmed heir's life; doing well in school even if he had no reason to work a day in his life with his family's fortune. When he was sixteen, he woke up one morning with a terrible flu. Muscle aches and nausea hit a peak as his body painfully and suddenly changed into his new 'true' form. His parents saw the transformation and were horrified by it, having no idea how to react. Thankfully, Raven's sheer desire to look like anything except the blue monster was enough to activate his powers to turn him into a more palatable form. He ran away not because he thought his parents couldn't accept him, but because he couldn't accept his parents knowing what he looked like. A brief talk with a couple of local druggies at his high school got him a couple of doses of PCP that he slipped into his parents scotch. He left a note claiming about his drug addiction, and about how he was so 'broken up' by causing their last 'trip,' that he was running away. Hoping they'd just believe what they saw was a hallucination.

Raven survived on his own from there. His abilities became his survival. He would make himself like an older veteran when that would get him the most food and tips, and as a young attractive thing when a wealthy client was willing to pay for companionship. He didn't have to live on the streets for long, between earning enough pocket cash to rent out a place, or by staying in 'second homes' by pretending to be the son or daughter of the family that lived there. He was heading to a job that he figured was to act as an escort, when he got his first job as a model. That opened a whole world, as his abilities allowed him to create outfits and makeup instantly. He was just starting to get that job going when he was contacted by Xavier, and a world of other mutants was shown to him. He decided to put his career on pause, curious about the new world of mutants, about the new potential there. Xavier is aware of what he really is, and part of the bargain to get Raven to come to the school was a promise that he would help hide that fact from others.

I think I found a new character I can work with. I just need to find time to work on her profile and think of some powers that are a little different then most.

I don't want to claim him... not like, totally claim him claim him...

But I have my eye on that Wolverine.

I might write him up, and toss into the ring, but if someone else is looking at him too then please don't feel discouraged.

Black Howling has staked a claim there I think, but we could use the opportunity to also include a modified X-23 or Daken if you two want to work together :)
