Topic: GIF Avatar help

Candylips made me an awesome avatar picture from the movie Airplane, but I can't seem to get it to upload properly so that it'll move.





I've tried uploading it, linking to the picture in the profile and various other stuff.  It keeps coming up as a still frame.  Any aid would be appreciated.

That's weird. I bet Blythe would be the right person to ask since he has an animated avatar.

I will say this though, I can't believe I haven't seen anyone with an animated GIF avatar made from the Nissan Pathfinder breasts commercial. lol

But seriously, I would talk to Blythe. He's been really nice to me and very helpful in the past. :)

I see that the url in the second image you posted has "https." Remove the "s" from that and try to set it as an avatar again. I've noticed that you need to use http rather than https when uploading a gif for an avatar on E.

Edit: No, hmmm, nevermind on that. I tried that myself with your image and it stayed a still. Someone a bit more gif-savvy than I might ought to take a look.

I got it to work, here is the one that I used: http://i.imgur.com/0uxOKKY.gif

1. Download it
2. Go to your forum profile settings page
3. Choose upload avi
4. Choose the gif in your computer
5. Hit change profile
6. Profit!
