No, this isn't a Gmes Of Thrones reference.  :D

But while I wait for my approval I thought I might ask you all a question, just to chat a little. Here (in the northern hemisphere) it is spring now, but after spring comes summer. So what will be the thing that makes you think "it is summer now" for the first time of the year and signal the end of spring for you? A certain flower blossoming, the first migratory birds showing up, a certain sound or smell, the first time you swim outdoors, the first time you switch on the A/V to cool you house or car?

For me it will probably be when the first swifts and swallows migrate here from their winter quarters in Africa and begin flitting through the streets, especially the swallows with their characteristic screach. I always associate that sound with summer.

First chance I can get to wear a bikini to the beach without freezing my parts off.  Then it's officially summer.

When you can smell the sea in the wind, that's summer! (I'm not near the sea :( )

When it's too hot to step outside, it's officially early spring.
