Overlord's custom portraits
« on: May 01, 2005, 01:23:48 AM »

While I am discussing the topic of uploading avatar files to the new boards, I would point out several other customs that are also my work. Actually a conglomeration of images I PhotoShopped, all are submitted to RPOL. Please feel free to use any of them if you feel they fit a character concept of yours.

EDIT- I just noticed that RPOL has some code implemented that will not allow you to jump directly to the links I provided, clearly to avoid folks stealing their bandwidth.

If you copy my links to a program like MS Word, they will come up with the autolink feature.

Hmm.

I'll have to make them accessible, somehow.

Umm…all anyone has to do is surf the portraits at RPOL and save one, then upload here. Works with any of them.  :-\

here's one I just made tonight
of course it's not avatar sized but that's just a matter of resizing.
That, and the background makes her hard to see after it's been reduced. ::)

Don't hurry yourself too much Lilac- We're not going to get angry at you if they're a little late. Though we'll all be falling over ourselves to give you oral if they're on time. >_>

Just thought I would mention this.

If you would like to host a photo make an account at www.villagephotos.com

The thing is you have to log in at least once every 30 days or you loose the account but its free and gives you a good amount of space to use. Also if say you link something from RPoL and the server goes down the picture wont show up. This way you will know if the server is down or not (which hasnt happened to me yet and Ive been using it for 8 or 9 months) just by trying to get on their site.

All in good time.  I don't thing anyone (or at least almost anyone) is in a hurry for that.  Whevener you get to it is spiffy.

I'd also be willing to make something for other people as long as they give me a good description of their character and they aren't in a hurry. :) That way I have a reason to get more practice in. I think it's fun to do. Kinda like dressing up virtual Barbie's...except some of them are monsters  ;D

If you go to www.wizards.com in the D&D section theres a section of pics in the retired articles. They give explicit premission for players to use those pics so you might be able to find some there.
