First a WARNING:
I've got a pretty hectic schedule at the moment so I can post at least one day and at most two days a week. If you catch me on said day there might be some back and forth between us in posting but the rest of the week I'm going to be silent.
So welcome to the thread. In general if you don't see something that specifically you like but you like how I present myself here and you want to suggest something to me my favorite genres and themes are fantasy, sci-fi, super heroes, magitech(or a blending of sci-fi and fantasy), and occult. I am open to more those are just my favorite.
That being said here are some of my current thoughts and potential stories. Not a lot flushed out at the moment as I'm just getting this thread up and running.
Please PM me if you like any of the ideas.
Superhero vs Supervillain
What if it had all just been a big misunderstanding? What if the Supervillain hadn't meant to cause destruction and havoc but was just clumsy and accident prone. Or what if the Superhero had meant to be a villain but kept picking a place already under siege by crime and took out the competition inadvertently saving the day.
Long Voyage Home
During an epic battle with the enemy a new weapon powered by an artificial wormhole is used and flings a space ship with its crew to the other side of the galaxy. It will take the crew a hundred years to get back to their home planet. They are now stuck with the only fellows of their own species they will likely see for the rest of their lives. What will they do now?
Oldways vs Newways
The proponents of technology are at odds with the users of magic. They feel that the magic is an affront against nature and should be stopped from continued use. The Magic folk play on the naive's fears that technology will replace their jobs. With turmoil ready to explode what will happen when some Pro-Technology terrorists prepare to set off a bomb in the capital city?
Witches Vs Paladins
Was actually inspired by a story prompt in my introduction:
Witches still exist in the world and they are still evil. They seek to corrupt, confuse, and destroy what normal people build. Thankfully there is a brave few that fight against them in a secret war. The Paladins. Using martial prowess and love from the divine they protect the world from the clutches of the evil Witches.
Open ended to allow for a Romeo x Juliet romance or perhaps a veteran of the war taking a newcomer under their wing.
There is an epic battle and Gideon is the only survivor of his army. He is brought before the enemy general and is surprised to find it a beautiful woman. She demands his surrender but he refuses. But there's something in the way he handles himself that makes him not just another arrogant asshole that can't fathom losing to a woman. So she decides to break him instead of slaying him with the rest of his army. She spends days each night in the back of her War Wagon attempted to break his will.
Just a basic idea, I think it would be really fun to roleplay out a scenario where a man and a woman are swapped into each other's bodies and have to figure out what to do to fix this and decide if they really want to.
An Ancient Dungeon
There is an ancient dungeon that many have traversed and picked clean of loot. But for some reason monsters keep moving back in. Now a young upstart of a mage has found a map that suggests there's a hidden passage to more treasure, more glory, and more monsters. This dungeon is so frequented by trainees however anyone skilled enough to escort the mage through the dangers brushes them off. Will the mage find a skilled adventurer to help or will it take a confident rookie to help the mage through the darkest areas of the dungeon?
