Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded ultra-progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a university professor. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a generally optimistic attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a cultural marxist.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a sensible principled egalitarian with many strong convictions.

This concludes our analysis; we hope you found your results accurate, useful, and interesting.

Replace "egalitarian" with "unapologetic feminist" and you've got a pretty accurate picture of me. Seeing as I jokingly refer to myself as "the pro-choice socialist lesbian witch" but it's only half a joke... ;)

Thanks for sharing this, it was pretty interesting!

I'm really not sure that any test which claims to have been designed in the 20th century can be in any way applicable today, but I guess that's part of what makes me an ultra-progressive.

I disagree with the middle part, I don't see myself as capitalist or (majorly) liberal (though I am all about liberty), I'm kinda more libertarian in nature if I had to place things down into a box (though of course I find it hard to fit into any political standpoint fully).

That sounds about right. I'm kind of a reformed extreme liberal though. I'd classify myself as a moderate who doesn't believe in political parties. I'm convinced the problems with our society (such as poverty and our racial class system) could be greatly improved. I'm also convinced that they never will be.

Yeah, I'd say I'm indifferent at this point.

Had to take this again, as it's been over a year, and I wanted, along with other reasons, see if my time on E has affected me at all in my views.

Here's my old score:

Quote
Radicalism   94
Socialism   68.75
Tenderness   56.25

These scores indicate that you are a progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a university professor. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a pragmatic attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as left-wing.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a centrist with many strong opinions.

========================================================================================================

So it describes me as a progressive politically, left-wing economically, then, in summing up, calls me a centrist.  Actually, this is more accurate than any other test I've taken.  I'm not all left.  There are hundreds, if not thousands, of stands to take on subjects, and most people are not completely on one side with regards to all of those stands.  Overall, though, I know I am a Liberal.

And here's the one I just took:

Quote
Progressivism   95
Socialism   75
Tenderness   53.125

Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded ultra-progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a university professor. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a generally optimistic attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a humanist.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a considerate realistic egalitarian with many strong convictions.

This concludes our analysis; we hope you found your results accurate, useful, and interesting.

So I gained a point progressivism, a little over six points in socialism, and lost a little over three points in tenderness.  Lost points in tenderness, but they went from calling me pragmatic about humanity to optimistic  ???

Honestly, though, I feel they tagged me even better than before.  I'm firmly entrenched in the humanist camp, that's for sure.  I just guess I'm not as tender-hearted as I thought I was :/

It sounds pretty accurate, I'm not sure I would describe myself as a tough-minded progressive, and I'm not sure how exactly 50 Socialism makes me a liberal... but maybe they're just using 'liberal' as a term for 'not-conservative.'

While I agree with what it says about me, I am somewhat skeptical of this being what journalists are like. Although maybe that's just from looking mostly at big media companies ...
