Haha, speakeasy is on the list. Now we're talking ancient history!

I'm surprised "Taxman" and "IRS" didn't make the cut.

Besides, I never knew Yukon was a terrorist hangout.  :D
Us Canadians are dangerous, eh!

I heard one comedian say that he didn't believe there was only 30 million of us.. he figures there's actually 300 million and we are just up her massing for an invasion. We had to eliminate him... he knew too much.

One of my old bosses is on that list.  >_>  Nice guy, made sure we all got leather jackets like his instead of shoddy copies.

Fangs, nerd, sex...

Well I'm screwed.

Also there goes my days of looking at old propaganda posters XP

But then again, I am probably on the list just because I tend to research things I write about, like how to make bombs and different semi-auto weapons..

Did anyone else see "Aladdin" on there? Apparently watching old Disney movies somehow links you to terrorism. Lol.

Or old Bowie albums.  Aladdin Sane, anyone?

I looked further on the list. Apparently anyone who hates veggies (two words on the list) is linked to terrorism. Seems there's a new way to get children to eat there vegetables now.

Or possibly its anyone who loves veggies.  New way to make sure that anything that was just laying around in the muck for months on end never crosses my lips.

He's a character on Howard Stern's show.  Also made an appearance on one of the wrestling shows (TNA, I think) as a guest ref.  'He's just zis guy, you know?'

(And I didn't even have to alert the NSA to answer that - I should be scared.)

Okay, that's nowhere near as bad as I was worrying. Though listening to Howard Stern is probably something that should get you on a watch list.

I'm kind of amused he's on the list, and Howard isn't.

I wonder if this means the NSA is the new Hastur.

Oh yeah.. I can see that. I dislike some of the chain of responsibility that the NSA DOESN'T have.  If they had their way the net wouldn't be secure enough for commercial activities. The list of mistakes and stupidity that links back to them is ridiculous. And the good they do is never revealed. The perception that the NSA is a big bad evil agency with no oversight is clearly not true.. but it needs to be fixed.

My take.. split the agency up. Make one part the keystone to national cyber defense. Make THAT agency the Department of Tech Defense or such, and give them the parts of agencies that DON'T get the finances they need. Like the Department of Justice/SEC and others who are given wide ranging electronic fraud and other issues. Make it a Law Enforcement division and the cyber equivalent of the DOD. We have folks attacking us on the net. (China is all but conducting an undeclared war on everyone else via the Internet)

The other half.. the sigint (signal intelligence) and cryptographic side.. go back to doing what they need to do.

My take.. the NSA is trying to do too many things under their purview. Like the Air Force tried to one time claim than anything that flew was 'theirs'.

Yes, spotted him - but there was a Mickey Mouse-like character in a children's tv show broadcast in the Gaza strip under the good will of Hamas a few years ago. The mouse was a radical islamist, but ended up finished by Israeli interrogators. When the show came to Disney's attention they tried to make the producers remove the character, but there wasn't much point in trying to carry on a court battle in a place where Hamas practically owns the judicial system...when the mouse was despatched it was apparently an in-show decision.

Farfour the Mouse

And Aladdin is an Arabic fairy-tale hero, so - well...

And Walt Disney himself was a known anti-Semite...

Aladdin predates Disney by a few dozen centuries, at least.  Even if we're just talking Western entertainment, there were live-action movies (with stop-motion monsters) based on the 1001 Nights well before the Disney studios got hold of it (which was also well after ol' Walt's passing.)

Farfour the mouse isn't the only theft of the Disney character I've seen. In Hong Kong and other parts of Asia I saw a LOT of Mickey Mouses (and others) in major ads that were clearly NOT approved by Disney. Copyright respect isn't a universal thing I can tell you.

So in essence given the number of words linked to sex......

....the NSA are in fact the worlds biggest consumers of internet porn.  Can you imagine how much computer effort that even takes....

The US taxpayer must be ever so proud.

Meh, they need something to do besides being useless and overreacting, while sitting in their office chairs.
