Idea #1: Rivals and Lovers
I don't usually like taking over roles for fiction that already exists. If I use the world of a game/tv show, I try and set an original plot and characters. But for this one, I'd like to see a romance between Sakura and Ino from Naruto.
The two bicker constantly but eventually it comes to blows and they were unlucky enough to have gotten in their cat fight while the Hokage himself was in earshot. Sick of their fighting, and remembering the days they were inseparable friends, he assigns them both to a long, laborious task (what is is, I haven't decided, but they will need to work together, and it'll be back breaking work)
Forced to work together, the tension between them becomes romantic and they will eventually give in to those urges.
