Random Character Generation Game-Thread

Basics
The idea is simple, I figure.  Each person to post will post a random character name.  The next person to post will offer character details (such as species, gender, cultural information, etc.) regarding the previous character mentioned.  They will then propose a new character.

E.G.: Daoine posts: "Jade"
RandomPoster posts: "Jade is a 23-year-old half-cat woman living in the magical land of Mundus.  She believes in a pantheon of twelve deities, but specifically worships Orhi, the god of thunder.  She is skilled with short blades and close range combat, like her father.  Jade is a traveler, seeking out her fortune in the distant west.

New character: Slade."

I hope that makes sense.  And I hope this is as fun as I imagine it to be.

Anyway...

Rules
  • Don't be a douche.
  • Silliness is fine, so long as it doesn't conflict with rule 1.
  • All descriptions of characters need to be four sentences (but they can be simple sentences), and should cover more than just physical appearance (though appearance details are okay to include).

Hm.  Let's see where this goes, eh?

Rayn is a warlock, the last in a long line of warlocks.  He has the right kind of looks:  tall wnd slender, dark and sardonically handsome and has been training with another older warlock and learning much.  There is only one problem.  He doesn't want to be a warlock but would rather be a sculptor.

Malador, the mighty dragonrider.  He is infamous for his massive scimitar, and his ferociousness in combat.  He rides a gargantuan silver dragon, the last of its kind.  He commands loyalty from his fellow Crusaders, and respect from the citizens of the world.  Even the Queen acknowledges his might; and has even knighted him as her personal Keeper of the Peace.  Malador strives for perfection in everything he does, refusing to accept anything else.  He pushes himself hard and feels that anything less than his best is an affront to his nation.  He has no time for lovers, despite the hundreds that swoon at his feet.  His mind is focused solely on leaving a legacy that overshadows the dark history of his family.

Crystal is a metamorph, able to change not only her shape, but her powers to anything she wishes.  It is a incredibly powerful ability, but unfortunately, much of her personality changes, or is lost, with each shift.  She has developed a terrible multiple personality disorder in consequence, and has almost lost all that remains of her original personality.  She once served at the mercy of Overking Oleandriss as a Haven Scholar and Sin Fury, but upon attaining her ultimate power through the machinations of Keltekan, god of dreams, she was overcome by the lust for domination, and changed into the lost, ancient Leh'riss, messenger of the god of doom.  She first obliterated the holy capital city of Jekka, along with all of its inhabitants, including the entire royal family and every Sin Fury present, then proceded to engulf the entire world in purging flames.  She has since traveled to other planes and worlds, often in the form of one ultimate beast or another of that realm, often trying to seek a reprieve from her condition, but regardless of the slow loss of her original personality, always driven by guilt, regret, self-pity, and madness, always madness...

Gonna do my own character in the hopes of kick-starting this thread with an awesome idea...

Name:  Candida Lemetrie-Ferroews

Candida, 32, inherited her mother's steel and shipbuilding empire, leaving her wealthy enough to explore every avenue of luxury and decadence.  She is a natural empath, able to read with fine detail the emotions of others, even tune out interfering ones from other individuals to focus on one person, which is a very rare empath ability.  She is also a powerful dominatrix, using her empath abilities, her unusually powerful sexuality, and her drop-dead gorgeous body, to completely overwhelm her opponents before they ever come to blows.  Not only is she beautiful, but she dresses appropriately at all times, even in public, making her not only notorious in the tabloids, but the secret desire of many of her enemies, who end up with much less desire to do her harm...and much more desire for her to harm them.

Gerrik Ganz, a native of the southeastern industrial nation of Vuldremeinz.  He is an outgoing, albeit brash young man of 24.  Despite his young age, he has already graduated from the most acclaimed industry academy in the nation.  After working with his father and grandfather in their gearworks shop, he ventured out into the world to make his own mark on modern automation.  He has designed and built his traveling companion, the steambot "Eisser."  His adventure has just begun, but it seems he is destined to be more than a mere mechanic and inventor.

Sapphire Williams

A tall, slim, sinewy young woman of 22, with fine, piercingly beautiful features, and deep blue hair down to the small of her back that radiates it's own inner light.  Sapphire was infused with the power of an arcane tome her occult-loving parents bought from an Eastern European book dealer while visiting Budapest during her mother's pregnancy.  Henceforth, Sapphire was born attuned to the eldritch and the profane.  A child prodigy, she attracted all sorts of beings of both light and darkness, and in-between, resulting in her being quite jaded and experienced in such matters by the time she graduated from high school three years early.  Falling in love with the vampire-chasing, book- and street- savvy Van Helsing character from a young age, she uses her inborn arcane powers as the newly-christened, youngest-ever judge advocate for paranormals in the city of Boston.  The only area she lacks in is romance, as she has found it difficult to trust any male who finds her attractive--it seems that sinister paranormals are obsessed with her hair in particular as a sign of both her power and virginal beauty.

Chelsea "Rawx" Goldberg is a smuggler to her marrow. Her "family" has never been conventional to say the least. Raised by her Ma, Krit-Toa, a lizard-woman of Kriten, and Mom, Heather Goldberg of Mars, Chelsea has no patience for human culture and societal norms, and wants none. She expresses this by her many colorful tattoos, piercings, and shaved head. Twenty-six and unattached, with a strong preference for it to remain that way, Rawx, again by preference, doesn't feel like she's missed much by her strange upbringing or by her slapdash life on the run from the S.T.P. (Space Transport Patrol). In fact, she revels in being a sore spot to those in authority. Give her a Laze-48 pistol, a one-seater ship, box of tools, and docking clearance, and you'll find yourself with an armful of happy, if volatile, woman.

Grimain Torque - hopelessly ineffective villain. He's got a face like an an ex boxer and enough muscles to make little old ladies clutch their purses when he boards public transit. After years of fighting this unfortunate public image, he gave up and attempted a life of crime. However, he's just not very mean at heart. He was almost caught during a burglary because he stopped to play ball with the home owners two overly friendly golden retrievers.

Hitomi Chou is a petite 23-year-old from Yokohama, the daughter of big corporate executive Taiki Chou. She has a reputation as a bit of an "ice queen"; she's very cold and distant towards most people, but always polite and dignified. Of course, what few people know is that she's secretly a computer wiz and expert hacker, who over the last few years has pulled off a large number of Internet scams, online robbery, identity thefts and spionage -- plus she's been financing and running a number of dodgy gambling sites and porn sites.  Her family is already rich, but she's increasing her own personal fortune by quite a bit this way. So far, it's been impossible for the authorities to pin her down as the mastermind behind all these activities; she's much too good at covering her tracks (and has at times planted fake evidence in order to incriminate rivals or people she doesn't like), and she's currently not even under suspicion.

Sir Ly-an Belain, Captain-General of the Order of the Locust, is a Grand Knight Supreme, but at 58 is approaching the age that one puts down the lance and sword and takes up the mantle of Magister.  Wise and experienced even beyond his age, Sir Ly-an has fought in seventy-one separate conflicts across the borders of his liege's kingdom of Wevventry, the last one being a mere six weeks ago, when he and his mounted Insectas Brigade managed to completely rout an invading horde of barbaric armored land squid.  Sir Ly-an cleverly kept most of his force in the air and out of range of the rampaging squid's shocking, horned tentacles, instead sending them to denude the closest mountainside of scrub and trees with their giant locust mounts.  The resulting landslide buried the horde en masse, although two small hamlets were also devastated--though the inhabitants were evacuated beforehand.  Sir Ly-an recouped the villagers' losses from his own considerable wealth, and his legend only grew more...

Gerhard Von Bort is a Knight of the Holy Midland Empire. Recognized  only by his black armor Bort has a reputation among the land as a feared and evil man who is not above underhanded tactics if it gives him a victory. The Emperor and his council were well aware of his reputation and at the outbreak of the undead horde invasion, send him and a small contingent of undesirables knights to fight them in what was meant to be a delaying tactic until they could better defend their castle. However Bort shocked them when he did not only survive but completely annihilated the enemy horde despite being outnumbered.

He's an affable, fast-talking and actually pretty charming guy who sticks to non-violent crimes and coasts along on his charm and ability to get along with people. His friends sum him up thusly: "You could trust the guy with your life, but you'd be insane to trust him with your wallet."

Anthony is an eccentric man in his mid-thirties, the owner of a rather unusual antiques business.  His appearance might lead you to believe he is more suited for an athletic career rather than an intellectual one.  Tall, broad of shoulder, narrow of waist and hips his deep blue yes and coarse blond hair easily bring to mind rolling surf and tropical beaches.  He is charming, well-spoken and has a mind like a steel trap but his most valuable asset is his ability to spot fakes in the blink of an eye.  This talent has never failed him and because of it he is a wealthy man and someone highly trusted in the world of historical artifacts.

Selma is a corporate spy, though she works freelance, not for any one outfit.  She's built up a name for herself in the espionage circles, as an efficient and impossible to catch operative.  One of the reasons for this is that she is a shapeshifter.  Stealing proprietary information is no problem when you can open a window on the 76th floor of the Petronas Towers and then morph into a seabird and fly to your rendezvous point.  Unfortunately, Selma does not know that her shapeshifting abilities came about through mystic forces, not her DNA.  On her 30th birthday, at 12:00 midnight, the spell allowing her shapeshifting skills ends.  Hopefully for Selma, she won't be on a job that night...

Name: Vladimir Crovas Mallox

Age: 2,982

Occupation:  Vampire Lord

Vladimir became a vampire after tussling with Tarkil Drax and impressing him--while still mortal--with his exceptional intelligence and fighting skills.  Vladimir at that time was a warrior on the island of Crete, but after Tarkil (a powerful mage as well) failed to account for all of the pitfalls and traps protecting the Aeric Affuser, hidden on a nearby island, the Affuser imploded, taking the island and Tarkil with it...the resulting tsunami wiped out Vladimir's home nation of Minos, and he found himself a free agent.

He spent most of the next 1,100 years serving as a mercenary in various Greek city-states as well as the Roman Republic.  Once, he rose as high as Senator from the region of Cannae, but when Hannibal wiped out the combined consular armies one day near the town of Cannae, Vladimir feigned his death and decided to hook up with the brilliant tactician and general.  Once Hannibal and his city of Carthage were driven to ground, he spent the next 300 years in northern Britain, practicing Druidism and forming a neo-cult that worshipped--him.

In 1209, he gained control of a monastic order of knights called the Crux Tempura, and brought them to prominence, only to see his ambitions fail when the Black Death took every last member of the order in 1232.  Travelling to China, he remained hidden as a court councillor until Marco Polo's arrival.  Returning to Italy with the explorer, Vladimir remained incongnito as a bodyguard of the Medici family until Columbus set sail for lands unknown.

When Columbus left for his 4th voyage to America, Vladimir jumped ship and traveled through the newly-discovered continent, finally taking up residence with a tribe of Northern Blackfoot, where he remained as a shaman until 1914, when he again journeyed across the Atlantic, this time as a member of General Pershing's Expeditionary forces to fight the Huns in Flanders.  Receiving numerous decorations for bravery in the line of fire, he again trekked off into central Africa, and did not return until 1996, when he suddenly took up a desire to rule a coven in an industrialized nation...

...which landed him, in 2003, in Seattle, Washington, finally, as Lord Atrocious of the Tarkil Coven, named after his creator.  He remains the Lord of it today.

If I could give you rep points for that, I would, Hannibal.  Very nicely done.  :-)

Name: Giovanna 'Cervello' Marabella
Age: 42
Occupation: Inventor

Gioavanna was born in the legendary Italian city of Cremona, the city of music, during the Second Renaissance in 1907.  From childhood, she was fascinated with machines and mechanisms.  She spent uncounted hours in her father's workshop, watching him tinker with his inventions.  In place of attending University, she became her father's apprentice and learned the art of making steam machines.  She was easy to teach, and always eager to learn more.  Her father nicknamed her "Cervello" - "Brains."

In 1926, Gioavanna invented the first ever fully-functional clockwork automaton.  After years of perfecting her invention, the young woman unveiled the machine - dubbed a "Gearhead" - to the world science committee.  She won the award for best invention, and went on to win a Nobel Peace Prize for her scientific achievement.  Over the next 20 years, her Gearheads became more advanced and quickly found their way into every modern home in the world.  Gioananna's workshop, now the most famous in the world, has produced a dozen new clockwork inventions.

Gioavanna is considered one of the foremost inventors of the Second Renaissance.

Name:  Jasmine D. Buckweed
Age:   29
Occupation:  Ice Sculpture Carver

Jasmine was born in a time where ice was an, ironically enough, hot commodity.  It was difficult to find in this much hotter world, so ice had to be kept heavily guarded in huge freezers around the world.  In fact, Ice Monopolies were not uncommon.  When she was three, Jasmine saw her first ice sculpture, a Pegasus, at a family's wedding.  She was fascinated as to the intricate qualities of the glistening winged horse.

Fifteen years later, Jasmine quickly rose throughout her schoolworks and majored in Ice.  Due to obvious security issues, those who majored in Ice had an extremely small chance of actually making it.  Jasmine fought through the hardships and surpassed all that lay before her.

Jasmine is now one of the best Sculpturists on the planet and makes sculptures for lords and ladies around the world.

Curly blond hair, only slightly too long, falls past a blatant smile that seldom changes except when alone. Always on the lookout for a mark, beware those glinting blue eyes should this grifter capture your gaze.

Name:  Melissa Bradford Townsey
Age:  20
Ocupation:  Serial Killer

After spending ten years trapped in a basement of her kidnappers, she escaped at the age of 14.  Despite escaping, she never went home and let her family believe she was dead.  Three years later, after reading as much as she could on the justice system, Melissa began to form a plan for revenge for the things her kidnapper did to both her mind and body.  A year later, she collected everything she needed to commit the murder of her captor and get away with it.  Melissa felt fulfilled for almost a month before she began seeing people, not as people, but as pieces of a game.  The justice system, which never helped her when she was caught, was her enemy now.  Slowly she began to pick people out of crowds and kill them with the persisian of a scaple.

It is now two years after she killed her captor and her record has grown immensly.  The police and F.B.I. have linked almost 60 deaths to be related, but that is only a small portion of the 200 she actually killed.  She is so percise, so smart, and so twisted that she has evaded capture in every way possible.  Just remember that the next time you cross the street, you may be passing a killer........

May Lee is young in appearance but ancient in her soul.  She knows she has had many lifetimes before the one she is currently living and each has left a mark on her.  Male or female, angel or demon, it doesn't matter to her now who or what she was.  She will follow the winds of fortune and anyone who will make her situation better.  It is venal but she has always been that way and been content.  It will take a special person with a special life force to draw her out of her own place of comfort and awaken her to an existence that is less self-centered.  Her small frame and dark fathomless eyes embedded in a pale complexion make her seem vulnerable.  She is happy for this misleading aspect of her appearance for she has the heart of a viper and the tenacious nature of a strangling vine.

Donal 'Tippy' McFadden is a fisherman by trade, working his trawler out of Ballycastle, Northern Ireland.  He's fifty-two, married to his wee Clare for thirty-one wonderful years, and has seven children, the oldest of which, Fergus, 26, assists him as a full partner in their business.  A staunch Scots Presbyterian, Tippy nonetheless despises the Troubles and the always-simmering feuds between Protestant and Catholic in his homeland.  He's a regular at the Fern Garden, the local neighborhood pub on Glentaisie Street, where he challenges the best at darts, and has a keen nose and tongue for local microbrewed ales.

Donal McFadden is also one of the many guises used throughout the many long years by the elder dragon Diamondice, who took a fancy to the Earth four thousand years ago, and has been sampling the cultures and lifestyles of humans around the globe the entire time.  As one of the ten elder dragons of the cosmos, Diamondice is functionally immortal, a full shapeshifter, can manipulate probability fields, and mind control any human being or other sentient being.  In his natural form, he is over six hundred feet long, multifaceted diamond-like scales, six legs, a long, snakelike tail, and a large, narrow head with eyes that look like giant star emeralds.  He has no wings but flies by dint of his mystic powers, within an atmosphere, or amongst the stars.  As with all dragons, he does breathe fire, but his is more a plasma--starfire that is over six million degrees celsius.  Needless to say, he is a deadly opponent, or a valuable friend.

He is also loyal, and will live out his 'life' until his beloved Clare passes away, whereby he plans on 'dying' soon after--dragon or not, love is immortal, and she is the first and only woman in his verdant, all-seeing eyes.  He also plans on leaving Earth at that time, for every bit of it will forever remind him of his wee Clare...
