The Mystical Lake (Pathfinder campaign; bondage and kinky fun)
« on: February 13, 2013, 01:40:20 AM »
Well, it's time for me to run another Pathfinder game.  This time, the idea is a lake somewhere in the mountains that's rumored to have healing powers, and is apparently a great spot for a vacation.  Since your adventuring group has been off killing monsters and terrorizing peasants for quite some time, a vacation sounds nice right about now.

Unfortunately, not all is peace and quiet.  Two rival groups have managed to set up resorts on opposite sides of the lake, and are now nearly at war with each other.  One of them, the Seyrulne Temple, has found that the lake indeed has mystical healing properties, and has decided that it could only be a gift from the Gods.  Because of this, they have set up a temple on the shore, for quiet meditation and prayer in thanks for the divine gift.

The other group has built the City of Yuime.  While they don't particularly care about how the lake got its magical powers, they do care about one other very important thing: one sip of the lake water is enough to cure even the harshest hangover, as well as heal any sort of liver damage from too much drinking.  Plus, it can be used to make some pretty good booze.  Of course, this means that the city must be used for constant late-night parties and orgies.

The noise and general unruliness of Yuime has managed to tick off the temple enough to start attacking, with all sorts of righteous zealotry.  Yuime hasn't been taking the assaults very well either, and has sent their own groups off to kidnap (and probably molest and rape) the priestesses of Seyrulne.  Thankfully, the strange magic from the lake means that even the most greivous of injuries can be healed with no trouble, meaning neither group has had any sort of casualties and both are able to keep constantly attacking one another.

Of course, this just means you have a very interesting vacation ahead of you.

Sounds like a lot of fun.  Count me in for either a dual wield fighter or a rogue depending largely upon what becomes necessary for the group to have.

Ah, welcome everyone.  Sine it looks like this has a lot of interest, I'll point out that I don't want too many players; about 4 is fine.  This won't be a first-come first-served basis, so let me see what kind of character you want and if there's anything really interesting about them.

Gunslinger/Wizard..

Questions:
-Any rules on HP?
-'Standard Gold' means 6,000 gp for a 4th level character?
-You allowing advanced firearms? Any?

Sorry; first level max HP, roll for other levels, reroll any 1-2's.  Yes, 6000 gold for 4th level.  I think I'm going to stick to basic firearms for starting gear, but you might be able to get more advanced firearms later.

Ya know what...  I've always kinda wanted to see what playing a shadowdancer is all about, so I think you can about mark my character idea down for a half elf rogue/shadowdancer.  I'll wait to roll me some stats for if I am accepted.  In the mean time I may get started working on a bit of a back story.

I plan on being naked most of the time, since any clothes I try to wear ignites eventually from my naughty naughty foxfire tails catching them on fire. And since I have 10 resistance to fire it doesn't bother me besides the annoyance of being unable to wear pretty clothes!

One question as I'm working.

When it comes to alignment, are we restricted at all (away from evil, I'm assuming) and if so, would you consider using an evil spell an evil act? Because my Oracle of Bones is going to be relying a lot on his undead buddies.

EDIT: Though while I'm sitting around, I present him. Alignment is between Neutral and Neutral Evil, depending upon GM response. Race comes out of Blood of the Night splat from the Companion series. All of his Favored Class bonuses went into skill points. I measured out his inventory as follows...

Inventory
Starting with 6000 gp

Battle Equipment
Mwk Breastplate     350 gp
Mwk Buckler     155 gp
Morningstar     8 gp

Other Equipment
Headband of Alluring Charisma +2     4000 gp
Soldier's Uniform     Free Starting Outfit, 0 gp

Misc. Stuff
Spell Components Pouch     5 gp
Belt Pouch     1 gp
Chalkboard     1 gp
Chalk (3)     1 cp each

Components
Trade in 100 gp for onyx

End Result
1379 gp, along with 9 sp and 7 cp remaining

Full character backstory writeup pending.  ;D

Well, Callie told me he's bowing out, so that means there's plenty of room for Nicci, Mysterica, and Raven, as well as Muse if he still wants to join.

Raven, I'm going to leave it up to the other players on if they'd be fine with an evil character in the group.  I wasn't planning this as an evil game, but that can change easily; however, if the other party members would clash with an evil character, I'll have to have you change it.  And, my thoughts on evil spells are that if they are cast for a good cause, it ends up being a neutral act (and could be done by a good character, so long as they do enough "good acts" to counteract it).  However, if it's a constant thing for your character, since I don't really have any significantly "good" goals for the party, it would definitely be evil in this case.  So yes, you would definitely be considered evil.

Unsparkly half-vampire, technically. Fun thing about him is I don't have to worry about pesky sunlight doing things to him. I just have to watch out for positive energy.  ::)

Unfortunately the picture spot is a bit off making her look a bit too thin, so I'll get in a picture as she should look.
