Fire sucks

Oh, how true I know that is ::). Last fall, wildfires were burning so bad in the southern California area that my university had an enforced one-week hiatus from all official academic activities, i.e. no classes for an entire week. Happened right in the middle of midterms, and messed up the scheduling and assignments for the rest of the quarter. It was a real bitch to breathe in that ashy, smoky air though... I'm glad school was canceled, because then I just booked a plane ticket home until it was over.

I like fire in a controlled setting, but uncontrolled wildfires are not what I had in mind.

note* I didn't start the fire nor do i live in California.
