And why did we need to know all the details of the main couple..and constant reminder of their past?  Boring!

I love the movie Elizabethtown :)  It's quirky and I really enjoyed it.

My favorite movie of all time is still "Contact" with Jodie Foster adapted from the book by Carl Sagan, one of my childhood idols I suppose you might say  :)

I agree wholeheartedly with Greenie here, though I also felt compelled to watch it to the end.

Strange: Untraceable

The idea is a serial killer sets up his victim on a webcam, the more hits he gets, the faster the death. It is very gory, the spookiness is that it is plausible.

Favorite-Fracture

One of the best movies I have seen in a very long time. Anthony Hopkins plays a man who kills his cheating wife. Its known he killed her, he even confessed to it to the arresting officer. The DA thinks its a slam dunk case (which is what Hopkins character wants him to think) but after a series of twists and REALLY Maniacal twists that causes the DA's case to fall throguh (of course thanks to Hopkins genius character) its just...wow.

Favorite Movie Ever: Queen Christina, besides excellent acting it came out one year before the Hollywood Moral Board and had the FIRST lesbian kiss in a mainstream talky. And had the impeccible Greta Garbo in the lead role. Close runners up I would add Dangerous Beauty, Frida and The Hunger.

Strangest Movie Ever: Angel Above, Devil Below, this gem which I own had a hot young woman that was barely legal who had the devil possess her pussy and it TALKED and fucked alot, the kind of porn you don't see in the US anymore.

Worst Movie Ever: The entire Star Wars Episodes I-III Trilogy save for Yodas fighting scenes the acting was substandard, the special effects far too computer heavy and the ships looked fake. And the Jedi Fighting scenes save the ones with Yoda were not choreographed very well. If I HAD to choose one of these utterly horrid films I would say the Phantom Menace just because of Jar Jar the stupidest character ever created in the Star Wars Universe.

Strangest movie: Feed (not entirely strange but not mainstream)

Favorite: Exorcist (still the only movie that scares the crap out of me)

(I realize I could probably post here almost every hour....*restrains self*)

Ok... it's not my favorite- I'll have to really think about that before posting- BUT, I saw Sex and the City the movie last night and it was really, really great. It, honestly, could not have been better in my opinion.

Obviously, its something women want to take their girlfriends to... though there were some pitiful looking men who'd been dragged there by their significant others; I'm pretty sure they pretended not to laugh at the really funny parts.  *giggles*

i loved the idea of it... my only issue, was that the first half of the movie, all the music sort of got in the way, making it seem a little like a music video - it sort of pulled me out of the story a little too much... that said, the whole car trip back with the 'tour book & CD' that Kirsten Dunst created was wonderful and inventive and i've always wanted to do something like that.

Ok I dont know what this movie would be, its not my favorite but I do happen to think that anyone over the age of 18 who wants to sign into the Internet should be forced to watch.

Its called Hard Candy, its not a well known film, nor a well known actors in it but oh my god it was just so intense. The opening scene shows a computer monitor with the name "thonggirl" as a IM handle, chatting with a guy named Jay319. Its obviously a conversation btween an older adult and a child that was flirtatious and arranged a meet.

At first you think its going to be the same story that the pedophile is going to abduct and hurt the girl but abotu 20 mins in she has HIM drugged and exacting her revenge on him for all the kiddie porn and all the little girls he had taken advantage of.

Just ask your self this, many of us have spoken of casterating a pedophile if we ever caugth them....but when it comes downt o a homedone castration how many would have the stomach..let alone a 14 year old girl having the stomach. :D

Very nice psychological thriller with TONS of twists and turns. (so yeah you might think I spoiled it by letting on the 14 year old is actually the 'predator' in the movie but really I didnt)

Well one I'm REALLY looking forward to is The Dark Knight looks like finally they have a Joker that will be worthy of his comic book deranged persona by the late Heath Ledger as the famed villian. But can't put in as a favorite if I never saw it yet.

If I have a dirty I loved this film but can't figure out why it was such a turn-on I would say Hostel II. I normally hate gorefests but I loved the bloodbath scene it was very erotic in a twisted way and I loved when the only lady to survive got revenge at the end. It was just so well done overall. It has me exploring all kinds of dark sides of myself and rereading De Sade.

Well I just saw the second one since it was at the library and free to get. I just thought that older woman with a scythe nude under her victim, cutting off her clothes, gag then her until she was covered in blood was well done. And the fact the one rich girl got payback at the end on two people who put her in that mess.

I like bad movies. I mean REALLY .. BAD .. MOVIES .. bad :)

I have Meet the Feebles around here somewhere. This is an early Peter Jackson (yes, LotR Peter Jackson) and can best be described as The Muppet Show on acid. I have his Bad Taste too.

Another one I have, but haven't got to watching yet (friend borrowed it, only recently got it back) is The Dragon Lives Again, which has the following surreal plot

Following his untimely death, Bruce Lee (Bruce Leung Siu-lung) wakes up to find himself in the "Underworld." He meets the King of the Underworld and questions his power. The King demonstrates his displeasure by shaking a pole that can cause an earthquake through the Underworld. Bruce quickly ditches his cocky attitude and later becomes a bodyguard for the King.

Bruce then goes to a restaurant, where he meets Caine from the TV show Kung Fu and famous sailor-man Popeye. He also runs into James Bond, Dracula, Zatoichi, and Clint Eastwood, who do not appreciate Bruce's presence in the Underworld. Those characters, along with The Godfather, The Exorcist, and Emmanuelle are planning a coup to take over the Underworld. Among their schemes, the characters send Emmanuelle to have energetic sex with the King in the hopes that he will have a heart attack and die.

Bruce defeats his enemies, but is angered by the King's repeated use of his dangerous earthquake-inducing pole. Bruce threatens to kill the King unless the King lets him go back to Earth, which the King does.

Did I mention I like really bad movies?  ;D

I love movies, I don't really watch TV, hence my usual introduction question (when I dare to brave the introduction forums).  I actually might revise this list but this is, after some thought, what I'm putting on my various lists:

Best:  These are movies that are so good I watch them, over and over and over:

-- The Departed-- I cannot say enough good things about this movie. Genius script, fantastic soundtrack and quite possibly the greatest love scene in any movie ever. (Costigan and the psychologist to the tune of Comfortably Numb)  It is, in fact, playing, again on my TV as I type this.
-- Fight Club-- Needs no explanation. I'm a girl but it even speaks to me.
-- The Illusionist -- The only real love story on my list. It's exceptional and I don't even really care for Jessica Biel.
-- Jarhead -- I love military movies. This one is contemporary thought set in Desert Storm. Granted... Iraq today is different.
-- American History X Ė everyone over the age of 18 in American should see this movie.  (seeing a pattern here? * cough * Ed Norton  * cough * )
-- Apocolypse Now (original or Redux) - the Martin Sheen scene with the mirror is worthy of the list by itself
-- 300-- incredible imagery... so few movies are able to not only suggest imagery visually, but mentally. This one succeeds in both aspects.
-- Kill Bill 2-- Uma is great.  I liked Kill Bill 1 as well, but this one outshined it,

Weird:
--Natural Born Killers
--The Nines
--Memento
--From Dusk till Dawn

Worst:
--Indianna Jones-- this last one
--Attonement-- I hated that little girl with a passion and her "attonement" was not exactly just.
--Open Water-- if I wanted to relive a fight with my spouse, I'd just pick a fight with him

I really liked Kiss Kiss Bang bang, and boondock saints, Frank Miller's Sin City, and my all time favorite starship troopers.
