Very interesting find this one. I wonder how accurate this can be.
Your total vocabulary size is estimated to be:
I knew almost none of that last row on the right, damn, haha.
I think I didn't know a single one of the far right column in the 2nd page and almost never heard them. Same goes for the last 5/6 words at the first page.http://testyourvocab.com/result?user=7839764
I'm surprised at my 21200 score. I'm not a native English speaker not do I really look things up in dictionary much but I do like reading and can for the most part learn the meaning from context. I did verify some of the more rare words to see if I really know the right meaning, seems I was ok for the most part. Still doesn't mean that I can really use a lot of those words naturally when talking or writing.
I wanted to fill out the survey to help with the research but I wasn't sure how to answer on some of the English course related questions. English is one of the compulsory course in grade school, what kind of study does that count as. I have never done specialized English course. In undergrad there was two basic English general course since I was having an Engineering degree. So does that count as 12y English learning. What does study English means, I read a lot of fiction, kind of studying English.
But wow! a non-native speaker with 38K vocabulary :). I wonder what my vocabulary is in my native tongue.
