The familiar stranger (Romance, MFF) - Need 2 F's
« on: December 23, 2012, 08:30:34 AM »
Looking for two female characters, for a modern day romance.

Rob and Mary got divorced a couple of years back, and Rob had moved to a different city & a new job. But every day of the last two years made him realize more and more how stupid he'd been to throw away his chance to a happy future with a sweet, caring wife. So he applies for a job back in his older city and moves back, only to find that his wife has a new partner now - a woman. He's now even more confused about whether he should walk back into her life when she already seems to be having a good one, but is also curious about whether she was always into women. He remembers them having a reasonably good sex life though.

Unable to contain his curiosity, he decides to find out more about her wife's new partner. Susan's a dentist and he walks into her clinic for a checkup. He likes her and understands in a way why Mary likes her too. He meets Mary too, at her office, telling her he's back in town and maybe they could catch up. She invites him home and they find out they all know each other. The post dinner conversation that night is a key turning point in the story (either aided by some joints he's rolled, or some drinks etc) which sees them all open up to each other. But when they get up the next day, they're all confused as hell again.

They keep meeting each other, mostly two at a time, and always wonder if they should allow themselves to feel as good as they are at the time. Should Mary allow her ex husband to show up and threaten to throw her life out of the nice groove it has settled into? Is Rob acting possessive towards Mary, and why does he like spending time with Susan so much, in spite of her being his 'rival' in a way? How does Susan feel about the new developments, and what are her feelings towards Rob?

(Names, professions, events etc. are all placeholders and are up for discussion)

Please PM me if you're interested in the story with your choice of character and ideas about the story. I'll be playing Rob.
