Considering you need build manse to benefit from demesne you need couple charms to able build any decent manses (at least above 3th dot ones if you can manage make demesne which is worth 5 dots). Altough for a lunar nom her solar mate while working with another solar is weird :P. So far as I know the golden widow method works only on solar mates (not just any solar).

Derp, yeah about Golden Widow. Admittedly, the last time I had looked it up was for a really strange pair for an IRL game. (Creepy NPCs they were)

Also, you don't have to build a manse. You can attune to the demense. You just don't get to take any benefits with you.

Wyld-Shaping Technique builds manses too.

And yeah now I see. Though, an Essence 5 Infernal can use CCP to shape Creation as if the Wyld, though unlike with Donning the Rainbow Mantle they can't spend motes to increase the closeness. And it's blasphemy.

Yeah. For the Infernal, it's mostly useful in avoiding the Blaspheme.

Which can be either a horrible thing, or a trivial thing, depending on your friends and situation.

Aye and Blasphemy is same as yell to sids; 'Yo! Look up here! We are screwing Gaia (a.c.a Creation) in bad way.' The scream volume depending on essence and blasphemy effect in question. A one yard wyld zone in weird spot? No problemo. A around football field one? Expect arrival of Cejop Kepap riding on storm dragon along with other elder sidereals come check it out.

Oh holy shit! Wyld charms outside wyldzone and top of that solaroid going wyld shaping technique. But why exactly hunt solar? Is it requirement for something (and I think abyssals have something similar but it works only in shadowlands/underworld).

But you'd have to wager that the Seneschals would be extremely pissed at the Black Widows.

Granted, this also requires that you stalk and kill one specific Solar (hopefully) down each year if you want to do it multiple times.

And that both of you make it out unharmed.

And that nobody takes offense at what you're doing.

In short, it's going to make you sooooo many enemies.

Well, only if they are caught doing it. But overall Seneschals is minority group (but then again no one knows Golden Widow society as it's kind hushhush club as it's existence would upset most lunars and some elder lunars). But overall lunars would not go uproar if some lunars go hunt their solar mates even if it would feel wrong way to do things but they can partly understand their fear/dislike for having solar mate. As for years solars had not been anyway part in lunar life style (expect the few solars which avoided caged and continued reincarnate over the years). Expect in five years ago they started reappear and they now mixed up the dynamics and most lunars do not know what to do exactly with them as tales of lunar+solar pair ups are in legends (or ancient memories of elder lunars).

Only one who had ever even considered about solars was Sun Senenschals which was very minority group which upkeeped the ideals to be firstmost partners to solars but the faction function itself was a joke for centuries as there was no solars left to serve expect mourn. Of course the faction has growth period since five years ago when solars started finally reappear back in Creation and it's only faction which gives some idea how lunar should be with solar (if not count Golden Widow nor Order of Illuminated who teaches lunars to be good pets for solars, or teach pet idea for Solars).

Good thing for Black Widow Lunars that I went and houseruled in a charm that lets them lock on to the Solar mate.

Thats true. The Order of the Illuminated are very weird like that. Especially with them having Lyta in their corner.

Lyta is what happens when everything goes wrong.

Well, perhaps not everything, but a very large number of things. I'm fairly sure that her Sid handler is looking for a way to quietly divorce himself from this whole situation and let it blow up in somebody else's face.

Expanded Backgrounds and Equipment
EXPANDED BACKGROUNDS
Artifact (Necklace of Solar Charisma)•••••Discovered in the Manse within a decorated tomb.  Grants following benefits:
  • Beings with a permanent Essence less than the wielder are subjected to an Unnatural Mental Influence Illusion effect.  This causes the onlooker to consider the wearer as beautiful, but otherwise normal in all other ways.  The wearer could be a Dragon-King in the middle of a crowd of mortals and on-lookers would not notice anything out of place.  The wielder's Appearance is increased by 2 for those effected in this way.  Onlookers may resist this effect by paying the difference between their essence and the wielder's essence (minimum 1, maximum 3) in willpower.  This effect is negated if the wielder becomes obviously hostile, or if her anima banner flares to the 8-10 level.
  • +3 to Presence.
  • The wielder may spend 2m to remove all social penalties due to appearance as a diceless miscellaneous action, this effect shrouds the wearer in the holy light of the sun for the duration of the action, making it Holy and Obvious.  This effect is the same as the Collar of Dawn's Cleansing Light.
  • 1 Hearthstone Slot (set with the Prism of Focused Passion).
Artifact (Orichalcum Sky-Cutter)•••••Retrieved from a shipment intercepted on its way to Lookshy from Nexus, some other minor exceptional weapons were retrieved and sold, some kept by her followers.
Followers (Scarlet Foxes)•••••Followers are a gang of thieves that work within and around Nexus, they favor high profile thefts and often leave evidence behind of their involvement.
Contacts•••••
  • Major Contact:  Port Authority officer, knowledgeable about goods coming in and out of the city of Nexus by sea/river.
  • Minor Contacts:  The people of Firewander, the district she spends most of her time in
Manse (Prism of Focused Passion)•••••Located within Nexus below one of the cities many red-light districts.  An old, if ill-defended, tomb of a lesser Solar from long ago.  Very little was left inside besides the Hearthstone and the Necklace listed above.  After cleaning it out the Scarlet Foxes have made their primary hideout this location.  Grants following ability:
  • +3 dice on all Presence or Performance rolls designed to inflame emotions.  Also, for the purpose of these inflamed passions, a target's Temperance is treated as if it were two points less than it normally is.  The Temperance reduction only applies to one target at a time.

Character History
"So you want to know about the Chiaroscuroan Thief who lives in Nexus, huh?" sometimes bar chat picked up good conversations, and this hot little Nexus dweller had already bought Sapphire a couple of drinks, so why not indulge her?  "How can I say no to those pretty eyes?" she winked and finished her next shot before settling into her story.

"Most of this is legend, or rumor, of course, but it makes for a good story anyway.  She was born in Chiaroscuro, a'course, beautiful city made of glass and silk and sin.  Now t' understand the way of it you have to know how Chiaro people deal with sexuality.  There aren't just male 'n female, sort of.  Either can choose to become the other if they want--well it's a little more complicated than that, but that's the jist of it.  This means that the sexes have pretty distinct roles in society.  That didn't sit so well with Sapphire Dusk.  As she grew up she found herself drawn more t' the world of 'manly' things, though she was blessed with such a beautiful womanly body.  She was proud of herself not because she was this or that but because she was herself 'n that's all that really mattered.

"The older she got the more they tried to hole her into one role or another, and the more she rebelled against it.  Foreigners didn't mind it so much, but the locals did, so she found herself hanging around with them more and more and falling in with the 'wrong' crowd.  Was a pretty rag-tag bunch of thieves and brigands she found herself hanging out with, they were from all over, moving from place to place when they needed to skip town.  Eventually they let her in on a job, simple stuff at first to ease her into it.  The thrill of the hunt, coursed through her blood like a fire.  She was hooked.

"The jobs kept coming and she kept pushing to make them harder and harder.  The easy ones just weren't exciting anymore, she needed a challenge.  They found a good mark, some Realm noble who was staying in the city for a few nights.  He came in on a ship that just screamed 'steal from me'.  The plan was pretty simple, wait for the noble to go into town, cause a distraction on the dock and sneak onto the ship to see what they had.  Well, turned out there were a couple immaculate monks on board waiting for her when she snuck into the hold.  'Haha,' she said, 'wanna talk this out over a stiff drink?'.  'Course the immaculate monks weren't too keen on that idea."

She brushed her foot along the leg of her female companion while remembering the incident on the boat.  She was exaggerating slightly, but it was a tough situation nonetheless.  There was a slave shackled to the far side of the room as well, and the immaculates were only very inexperienced guards.  Still, she was outmatched and backed into a corner.  She was just as surprised as the monks when the golden circle flared to life on her forehead moments before she went about the business of incapacitating the monks, rescuing the slave and making sure to take a little bit of money off of the noble's hands.  She grinned across the table to the faintly blushing girl as she swallowed another mouthful of alcohol.

"Mmm...oh yes.  No one really knows how she got out of it, but she did, with a sackfull of loot on top of it.  Of course the guards had seen her, so she couldn't stay in the city too safely anymore.  With her share of the take she parted ways with her friends and disappeared on a boat leaving the city.  She made a few more stops along the way, but eventually ended up here.  If ever there was a city for her it had to be Nexus, so much to do and so many people to steal from.  Didn't take her too long to gather a few like-minded individuals to her cause.  They say she has a crew of over a hundred people working for her, all hidden throughout the city.

"Course she's had a good run through the city so far, a few shipments here and there, weapons and collectors items headed to Lookshy, art being traded, nothing small, she always goes for the good stuff.  No one really knows much about her though, they say she can steal a girl's virginity just by brushing up against her, or talk a eunuch out of his clothes.  Never know when she might turn up next..."

She giggled lightly and finished her next drink.

I think she'd just skip to the "offers up the hearts" stage for Fire Aspects, although that could have been something that stuck with me from an IRL game.

Or possibly make bloody Orichalcum out of the unfortunate.

Is it wrong that I'm wondering if Sapphire Dusk will eventually try and graduate to full on Carmen Sandieo style thefts?

Granted, most of the thefts of the Moroccan woman are probably too silly to seriously contemplate, but I have to ask.

Or perhaps she could build a large enough catapult which would allow throw DB's all way up to Daystar? Anything what gets near it unprotected get roasted. Altough I think somepoint Daystar would start become all emo about getting thrown DB's everyday and it would cause Sol Invictus shut himself up more firmly inside games of divinity as he does not want even hear about a solar throwing with catapult sacrifices for him. Altough considering dragon kings did rip hearts of their sacrifices and gave them to Sol Invictus (and practice continued even in solar deliberate era). So emo part is about how embarassing whole situation would be (altough it would be cooler of Lyta would able just punch them up there with solar hero style).

Dip in liquid gold? Brilliant idea, just that Lyta would need find lot of gold to pull it off.

I'd just like to note I approve of the current conversation.

Also, there's a Solar charm called Sky Breaker Throw that lets the user potentially throw their victim anywhere in Creation, and even to other planes. So you can use it to toss someone onto the Daystar.

Anyway, Re Z L. I don't think I'll allow your Lying specialty, since it seems to effective be an extra dot of Manipulation.

Second, are you sure you want to buy Resources 2? It's not going to stack with the free Resources 3 at all. In fact, it should be encompassed by the free Resources 3.
