I'm not really sure what to make of all of this.  The Wallstreet bailouts were definitely a bad idea...  Any thoughts?

"Breaking their silence" will be Newt, Lou Dobbs, Dick Morris & John Bolton?

"Breaking their silence"?

This smells like nothing more than fear-marketing for something like Glen Beck's gold sales scheme.

Here's a little background on the makers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newsmax_Media. You'll note they've got a long & depressingly familiar record of making stuff up.

Watch for phrases " a few helpful steps' or 'things you can do right now'.. but never saying what.

Buy their books, of course. Or gold from the company they're shilling for.

A little farther into it & it's nothing more than a web-based infomercial for pet investments. Geez, I can't begin to imagine who might be on the boards of directors of these companies...

Yeah, they're trying to sell something.  But all that aside, they said a bunch of stuff like we were set up for failure in the 50's.

Don't know about 'set up' but that was the beginning of an unsustainable system that we have in place. It's gotten REALLY bad since dereguloation took a lot of the counterbalancing elements out of the system. The repeal of things like Glass-Steagall which allowed for rapant adventurism in the investment banking community in the last few years as well as the development of the depressing strong lobbying influence in the law making communities.

Business (and special interests) have so much control over the legislative process that it is getting more and more difficult to actually regulate and enforce safety measures to protect the consumer.

And David Icke says a bunch of stuff like Reptilians are secretly controlling world.

The 50's smacks of 'Eisenhower betrayed us!' from Robert Welch, again. Except this time people take it seriously, for some reason.

Kind of like Weidemer's 'Aftershock' book.  They know people are scared, so they use it to profit, just like the people selling backyard nuclear shelters after WWII.
