Practically never, any more. For one thing it's literally yesterdays' news. For another, there is no way to question the news while you read them, which makes the reader complacent about their truthfulness. 'Oh. So that is what happened. It is the final truth because they say so'. When I read news online I can have them verified, deverified or nuanced almost immediately. What has that politician said in the past? Whose organization is giving that scientist her paychecks? It's a messier way to stay informed than just having it presented for me in neat editing, but I have never felt more informed.

The next person still read at least one of the old newspaper comic strips.

Well, its like one of those sad stories. I've seen snow in pictures and movies and I love it. But it doesn't love me back. I've never seen any in real life
