Is it selling your soul when you speak for the party who appreciates you rather than the one that went out of their way to destroy the lives of countless peers for the perceived crime of being a communist or refusing to accuse people of being one to save your own career. Hollywood has a LOT of history with committes out to prove they committed 'crimes' that aren't any such thing.

So when an actor, actress, director or writer practices their art in support of their opinions.. I let them. Be it this video.. or a certain action hero actor talking to a chair in front of a convention center full of republicans, it's their right. I swore an oath to defend and protect those rights. I don't have to like what one side or another says.. but every citizen should at least respect the right to.

Because, someday.. YOUR opinion will need to be defended.

But Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ronald Reagan were heroes, right? Hypocrisy much?

It's only bad when the left does it. Or when they think the left does it. The latter is more important. ACORN may have been cleared of all charges, but when the RNC sponsors voter fraud in Florida?

Still listening for the mass-media outrage. Can you imagine what Fox would be spewing if the DNC hired such a group instead?

It's only a crime when you try to get brown people to exercise their right to vote.

Ironically, it's crap like this that gives me hope for the future.  Doesn't mean I have to like it, though.

I monitor Fox News and post some of their more outrageous stuff on Facebook.  I'm in college, and most of my peers are more concerned with drinking, one night stands, or doing homework to be bothered with politics.  I do my best to keep my friends informed, of major events, and the constant bullshit Fox is trying to pull off.

Anyway, I've noticed that Fox picks an issue and sticks with it.  Three years ago it was the ACA and the birth certificate.  In 2011, it was the debt ceiling and Obama's "out of control" spending.  This past year, it's been all Fast and Furious, ACORN, and foreign policy (you wouldn't believe how hard they're pushing the "White House didn't immediately decry the Libyan embassy attack a terrorist attack so they must be idiots" angle right now).

I wish someone out there would push the voter fraud issue, esp. the recent events in Florida, as hard as Fox pushes the "Libya scandal."

I read one of their pieces on that and I kept scratching my head.  The most damning line they could come up with was that some conservative blogger said they were trying to cover it up.  Of course, they cleverly juxtaposition it next to saying that even 'mainstream' media was 'criticizing' the administration.  Of course, by 'criticizing', they mean asking why the administration said one thing and then said something different a little later.  You know...after they had more information...like what happens most of the time to anyone.  All of this is somehow a scandal.  Psha.

Exactly my point!  The worst thing they could pin on the White House is that they weren't consistent in their press releases!

And has anyone seen those BIAS ALERTs they keep throwing up on their website's front page, accusing the "liberal media" of pervasive bias?  They must know how this makes them look to their critics, but I don't think they care since their viewerbase will just eat it up: of course, Fox News is the one bastion of fairness and balance in the untamed liberal jungle of mainstream media!

What bullshit.  /rage

It really is just CYA.  If they did not accuse the 'mainstream media' of liberal bias, people might clue in that Fox is just making stuff up.  If the mainstream is not corroborating their story, it must be because there is some sinister conspiracy.

It's sad that most kids these days aren't taught critical thinking skills in High School, to critically digest the media that they consume. Occam's Razor would easily solve the problem for most people. Occam's Razor says that the simplest solution to a problem is usually the correct one.

So, the facts that we have are that Fox News is at odds with every other major source of broadcast news in this country. Fox claims that the other networks are biased. The other networks claim that Fox is biased. Furthermore, the news, as claimed by Fox, often does not synch up with what the other stations report. So, to make Fox's claim valid, the other sources of news would all have to get together to agree on what lies to tell the public, along with getting scientists, researchers, politicians, and other sources to all back up what they're saying. Or, the simpler solution to the issue, is that Fox lies. Personally, I trust Occam's Razor, and the simpler solution.

I love (like I 'loved' JR Ewing) the argument that scientist are 'making up' climate change to get rich.  You know, 'cause Big Oil would never lie to get rich.

I'm not sure but Sam Jackson has been a political force in the past so I wouldn't doubt he would support Obama. I think this video is a quite direct and funny and sometimes that recipe makes a great political add. I think it touches on some of the topics that are important to me as a voter and a citizen of the US so I think it hits home just right.

Samuel L jackson has been a force for the 'liberal' forces since his career started. But now that he, as a black man, supports a blackish president, suddenly it's news.
I like the video, as in that there are no lies in it, just facts although interpretted with a bit of socialist bias. and it's done in that SLJ style I love so much

I don't really care about the elections... I am not American, see?

But I do know that I laughed my face silly watching this thing... and yes, all politicians are alike, in my opinion... no such thing as a lesser evil, they are th both of them puppets, doing what their parties, and the companies behind their parties, wants, instead of working for the people...*shrugs*
