Is this real?
« on: September 07, 2012, 07:28:10 PM »
Who knows what's real with politics and the Internet anymore, so I'll check here:

I thought the whole CISPA thing was pretty much dead, but apparently they're pushing for another Cybersecurity bill in the Senate, which got shut down, and Obama seriously wants it passed and is mulling an executive order for it?

Information appreciated.

...Well... I'll admit I don't know a lot about it... but I seriously doubt Obama's actually mulling an executive order.  If he does that, he'll lose the election.  There's not even a question about that.  All his oposition has to do is say that they'll try to return things back to normal, and pretty much everybody would vote for him.

Honestly, I doubt, even if he wanted to after the election was over with, he would even hint that he wanted it to pass.  It would be seriously damaging to his polotical image.

If he does it, it will be a 'hush hush' thing, done on a Friday night after another governmental news data dump to distract the newsies and when it's brought up, it will be spun to being a positive thing and anyone that says it's a negative or bad thing, will be slandered as being delusional, crazy or a right wing Republican.
