Submarine maidens are trouble
« on: August 07, 2012, 07:07:54 AM »

The idea behind this group game is delightfully simple. A US submarine is sent on a secret, six-month mission at the height of the Cold War.
In the middle of said mission, they happen upon a small yacht adrift in the middle of a deserted area of the Atlantic.
After some deliberation amongst the senior officers, the decision is made to go to the surface and provide help.
The contents of the ship is a surprise: a handful of attractive young women, apparently surprised by bad weather on their impromptu little boat trip in the yacht of one of the girls father.
They are taken on board, but the captain and his officers are now faced with a dilemma: they are in no position to halt their mission, nor can they risk to allow the young women to leave the ship until it is finished for reasons of secrecy. The only possible solution is to take them along for the remainder of the trip... but on a submarine filled with men who haven't even seen a woman in months, the presence of the girls might prove problematic. Let the hijinks ensue!

I'm looking for 6-8 players for this, preferably evenly divided amongst girls and crew members. If I get some interest, I will post up a CS template. :)

I would be interested to play one of the girls. It would be a rebellious one though. She might be the daughter of the boat owner. She won't consent to anything and will try to call her dad or her lawyer at any cost. She is a troublemaker and must be kept powerless all the time.

That is fine, the idea is for most of the girls not to be too keen on being stuck on a sub for a couple of months. ;)

This will be on an old submarine, like the one on the picture? One that must be on surface most of the time?

I'm not expert on subs. The setting will be the 1960s, the idea is for a sub that can stay under water for weeks at a time.

Well, If you want to be realistic about it, they'd rarely surface, if ever, I think. Plus they'd have to be quiet all the time in enemy waters. Since its supposed to be fun and all though, I imagine you want to be more lax. :3

This looks interesting  would it be appropriate for one of the women on the boat to be an amatuer escape artist and she went on the yacht with her friends to celebrate her apprenticeship and job as an assistant to an escape artist

Seeing as no one has signed up to rescue the maidens yet, I'll surely love to lend a helping hand  ;D

I'll surely fill up the CS template soon, but briefly, I'd love to play the captain. He likes having his set of rules obeyed - his men know it. The women will soon find that out. He'll put down new rules, given the "extraordinary" circumstances - something which won't make him too popular among his crew either.

Sounds pretty much exactly what I had hoped for the captain character, so by all means submit a CS for him. :)

I am going to take certain liberties with that aspect of it, yes. The idea is to have a small group of women suddenly thrust into the midst of men who have been cut off from the opposite sex for a while, and the tensions that will yield. :)

Hmm, not really what I had in mind. I see the girls more as a group of party girl friends who loathe the idea of spending months on the boring, grey sub.

Would you be playing that role? Otherwise, I have some experience playing this type of character.

Hmm okay I was just going for more then one motivation why she doesn't want to be stuck on the sub. Besides I have a thing for bondage and I thought it would make for an interesting way to cope by letting the men tie her up and try and escape and if she failed her body was the prize

My character:

Name: Eloise (“L”) Monot
Age: 22
Role: Girl
Background/bio: Compared to some of her insanely wealthy friends, she comes from relatively “modest” background. Her father owns several construction companies all over France, but he did not have the kind of pull some of the parents of the girls she went to school with. Her mother had been runner up in the Miss Italy contest ages ago and gladly became her father’s trophy wife. All manner of private tutoring and exclusive boarding schools failed to make Eloise an academic gem. She is far too much enamored with having fun and partying with her friends. She has some sexual experience, even though she isn’t quite the slutbag she likes her friends to think she is. She is more of a tease that only occasionally puts out. The chance at some joyriding in her friend’s yacht was an opportunity she could not pass up. When they were thrown adrift however, the fun soon turned grim… Will they really perish in the middle of the Atlantic? Or will help arrive in time to save them?

My character:

Name: Captain Edward Hawkes
Age: 42
Role: Commanding officer of the fleet ballistic missile submarine USS Kinsey
Background/bio: Captain Hawkes, better known as "The Hawk" among the rookie naval officers, is as widely revered as he is feared. He's known to have led men through extremely dangerous missions on several occasions, and even a year under his command is believed to be a life changing experience for any officer. There are many who say they can lay down their lives for him, and he's a role model for all cadets in training. But the only way Hawkes has attained his legendary stature is through his undying commitment to rules and regulations. And he makes sure everyone under his watch follows them religiously too. There have been rumors of him "testing" the loyalty of his men, and pushing them to the limit to check if they still abide by his teachings. And it is this disciplined attitude towards life, which has rendered him almost incapable of living outside the naval setting. His wife and daughter have long given up any hope of a normal day with him. He hates civilians, and the disdain with which they treat their civic liberties - in  his wife's words though, he just wishes he could make them all get into line and follow rules.
On what seemed to be a crucial recon mission in the Atlantic, luck dealt him a hard blow as  the mission had to be stalled due to some diplomatic developments, which meant they had to stay hidden for an indefinite period of time unless further instructed. But little does the Hawk know that he's going into run into muddier waters.

Name: Ophelia Rockfeller
Age: 23
Role: Girl, daughter of the boat owner
Background/bio:
Ophelia is born first of four daughters in an immensely rich family. Her father vainly tried to get a son but could only get girls. She always tried to live by his expectations but had always felt she was failing. She has done a lot of sports usually considered more masculine, like martial arts, sailing or car races. In the process, she acquired a fairly competitive, independent and stubborn mind.

She learned to sail her father's yacht when she was 18, which allowed her to invite her friends to incredible parties. The current cruise is only the last one of a series of successful ones.

Name: Yoko Yamagi
Age: 23
Role:Girl
Background/bio:Daughter of Hideyoshi Yamagi, owner of Enma Securities (colloquially known as E-Sec), a large private security company based out of Tokyo, Japan, but with offices all over the world. Her father's company protects celebrities, the wealthy, and high value structures like nuclear plants and airports. It's a given that he socializes in powerful circles, and the daughters of the men in those circles are on the boat. Yoko has made a few friends amongst the girls, but she's really just glad to be on the cruise. With her father dragging her around from country to country, she gets surprisingly little time to socialize. She's eager to make friends and always tries to play the peacekeeper. Shares her father's keen business sense, for what it's worth. Loves swimming, dancing, and volleyball.

Name: Holland Bozeman
Age: 20
Role: Girl
Background/bio: Holland is the only daughter of oil millionaire Colin Bozeman. Ever since her mother died when she was 7 she became her fathers golden child, sure she wasn't the son he wanted to throw a football with but she had excelled in school, played the piano and violin beautifully and never caused trouble. That was until she hit 17 and went more than just a little wild if you name it she's probably done it. Holland loves her name in the headlines and is most famous for running away at the age of 17 to marry a Norwegian prince, it was an abusive relationship she escaped a mere day before she was to wed. Through it all she still manages to remain the apple of her fathers (and the public's) eye, and the heir to his multi-million dollar business.

Great characters everyone! :)

Seeing as my original intention was to keep this down to 8-10 players, I'd say I would like to add no more than one more girl. We are still desperately low on horny sailors though, so feel free to apply for that role. :P

I think I can manage another PC in this:

Name: Chief Petty Officer Joseph Harden
Age: 36
Role: crewmember
Background/bio: Joseph was born and raised in Washington DC by his single mother. With little prospects of going to college after finishing high school, he instead enlisted in the Navy. He was assigned to submarine duty and has been serving on some boat or another for the past decade and a half. He spent enough time on shore to get married, have two kids and then a divorce. Since his marriage ended three years ago, he has vowed never to get into a serious relationship again as long as he is a Navyman, knowing from his first experience that the long times apart are an unbearable strain on married life. Instead he contents himself with casual sexual encounters whenever he has some leave time. Joseph is well liked by his colleagues and superiors as a dependable sailor and a likeable sort.

I will also NPC other crewmembers where necessary, but I would like for there to be at least as many crewmember PCs as there are girl PCs.

Ok, seeing as the sub needs more men, I'm taking on another one:
Name: Petty Officer Ben Stork
Age: 30
Role: crewmember
Background/bio: Ben has Navy running in his blood, what with his father and uncle having served their country honorably for years. And so he has always taken his abilities for granted, as though a seat in the Navy Hall of Fame is his birthright. This had made the first few years of his Navy life extremely difficult, with both superior officers and peers hating his very existence. Over the years, he has mellowed down and has become more acceptable company, but there still lurks the animal inside. Captain Hawkes knows Ben is an unknown quantity and may prove very dangerous. Ben has always resented the captain's dictatorial attitude. He's waiting for an opportunity, to make his strike, like a predator hiding in the bushes, right before the final leap onto the prey. And soon, he may get his chance.

Okay, I will write an opening post from the perspective of Eloise, hopefully later today. I would like to get one more crewmember in, but we can possibly add that player after the game has started.

After I start the game with the Eloise post, it would be nice if we could then get one from the captain's perspective - looking at dreamster here. :P
