An operation gone wrong pitting the League against Alien Invaders causes a rift to take shape between the members and their grim lone wolf.
Things take a turn for the worse and the team is shattered and broken.
Meanwhile the Batman seems to have turned his back entirely on them, stubbornly pursueing one of his cunning plans. But might the greatest planner this time be outfoxed through his own obsession with doing things 'his way'? Or is there more going on? What does Batman know and motivates him to break away from them?
