As long as the nephilim is suitably dignified. Avernum may have cat-people - noble savage warrior cat-people, but it's supposed to be a dreary and miserable place...wardrobe malfunctions, demands for ear-scratches, and obsessions with balls of string are better suited for a Japanese comedy anime.

Exactly. The juxtaposition of a depressing as fuck location as Avernum with a giggly catgirl that cannot help but do cute things at the wrong times.

Feels like it's just devaluing both of them, though. The point of the Avernum setting in the first place is its gritty depression - clumsy people die quickly, cute is only worthwhile if you can intentionally exploit it, and upbeat and giggly should be portrayed as freakish and unnatural (for example, the GIFTS...out-of-universe, they're a joke race, in-setting they range from annoying as heck to unbearably terrifying because of how they act). Avernum is the perfect place for subverting the typical catperson traits by making them regal and savage instead of pure 100% comedy - draw from the great cats, not housecats. A lion might still like having its ears scratched when it's time for relaxation, but it won't be tripping over itself or chasing balls of string (unless it's doing so deliberately to get people to underestimate it), that's both undignified and likely to get it killed horribly by something.

Hmmm, I could play as nephilim barbarian then. Use catfolk stats suppose.

Hello there folks!

I'm also rather interested in this.  Don't have many pathfinder games where I'm the player.

I was thinking of a Magus character, probably a Sylph since there's already one Tiefling.

Though, since spellbooks and scrolls seem really hard to come by, the beginning would probably be rather painful on a standard build.  Thus, I was thinking of going either a combat-specialized archetype of the Magus, or the spontaneus-caster Archetype.  Either would probably work well, but I'm at the moment undecided.

Another option for me is a combat-focused Oracle if you think the group needs more survival and healing power.

Well, there are a few things I'm considering.  Feel free to tell me flat-out no if nothing there catches your fancy.  I can probably have the mechanics done in a day or two if necessary, and the fluff probably faster.

Cheers,
_LF_

There is one slot left, so fight for it!

Also no evil chars.

No evil characters or no more evil characters? Because I really don't like people who play-evil-but-write-Neutral on their sheets, so I don't want to be one of them, but I will if I have to.

Blarg, didn't replay last night.  Anyway, if anyone drops out or you need someone, I was just looking at this Pathfinder conversion for Eberron, and was thinking of doing a feline shifter.  Maybe flavored as a "were-ocelot."  And she'd probably go druid or oracle (nature).

Looks like a slot is open if new chars are being accepted I wouldn't mind picking up the rogue slot, if that's ok that is. I can build one pretty fast if you do need one, just let me know.
