Not the only weird oneliner Kinski gets to say in the movie, either, another one is this, when he and a crony have been caught by an African tribe (whom they wanted to catch and sell as slaves of course) and are lying bound in a field, surrounded by spear-waving, dancing tribesmen:
(crony:)"Aren't you afraid of dying?"
"I haven't tried it yet."
