Wanted d20 games
« on: March 20, 2008, 01:28:43 PM »
Yeah, I'm having withdraws.   :P

I'd like to play in one or more of the following.  It doesn't have to be an adult themed game.

d20 modern, d20 spycraft (1st edition), d20 star wars, DnD3x

For D&D 3.X there's Sigil Prep, run by Yours Truly: http://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?board=372.0

If you're interested, that is. It's 3.5, with elements of 3.0, with the odd houserule or "The rules don't cover this, we'll make it up", and also with material from the "Frank and K" series of stuff, because honestly it's of better quality than the stuff WotC make, and resembles balance more closely, too.

It's a mixture of "This is a curricular activity: it's a dungeoncrawl, specially made to be a dungeoncrawl, with traps placed there for no reason other than it being a dungeoncrawl, and level-appropriate monsters imported. There is treasure at the end.", making fun of common tropes, high school drama, and sexual activity.

They're at 4th level at the moment, so feel free to throw character ideas at me if you want.

What about Eberron?

Heard of it but never tried it.  I'd be willing to take a crack at it.

It's Swashbuckling, Dark Fantasy and a bit of Exalted tossed all into one.

So you have a semi-post apoc previous world setting, destroyed continents, living spells, basically semi-sentient spells that never end and keep doing what they were casted to do, so a Cloud Kill will try to float to you and kill everything.

You have the Dragonmarked, the noble (or ignoble) houses that are considered royalty and many other dark themes.

It also has a few Deities, a lot, but far from the Deity Creep that plagued Forgotten Realms. It also tends to lump them in three to five categories as a lot of deities all go under a single banner of "The Sovereign Host", there is also the Silver Flame and of course the latter religions are splinter. ^^

It also has a new class added and nothing in the game is pure alignment based as it used to be so strongly tied to.

And the Drow are not evil! The majority are xenophobic with the exception of the PCs and the Umbragen offshoot.

My three games are a bit varied, but I have different destinations in mind for all three.  One's straight d20, one's d20 done dark, one is BESM d20 using standard d20 classes.

Hunter, Eberron is a Dungeons and Dragons Campaign Setting, not a rules syetem, just FYI.

It's a great setting.

If anyone gets a game going (any d20), I'd play.  I have tried DMing many times, I'm just not good at it.

The luxurious beach front resorts of Shanadoah Seven-Seven gloss over a cesspool of poverty and coruption on the inner islands.  With the police on the take, and the crime lords indistinguishable from the land owners, what athorities would truly care to pursue a serial killer who only targets droids?

This is the story of a few people who cared enough, and the secrets they found, and how it lead them to greatness and to saving at least one world...
