Just finished my first play. I can't decide if it's an improvement on Homecoming or not. I like some of the Otherworld scenes, but some of the random monsters felt poorly developed and didn't provide a very decent variety like Homecoming did. Also seemed like there were way too few boss fights. Storyline was it's usual twisting and turning horror plot line that kept me guessing for a little while, and if you discount the crappy baddies, the environments were pretty well done. Puzzles were a little challenging as well.

I don't know. I think I need some feedback on this one.

:/ I plan to pick up this and Resident Evil: Raccoon City on Friday, if I can.

I must know how it is! D:

Especially for my first Silent hill...will it pop my cherry gently?

They've updated a few things but I have to say it did in some ways feel like a throwback to the gameplay style of the original. It feels like a horror game should. If you're going to fight every monster that comes your way you will be dying a lot. Also, ammo and guns are not very plentiful, much like it was in the original. But it might be different depending on the setting you choose. I always play on Normal the first time through.

Can't say if it will be a gentle cherry popping. If you've never played any Silent Hill games before...I'd say you better be prepared to bite the pillow and cry for a while.
