As far as I know, when you take a video game and use its in game elements to create movies. Its very restricting, but people find ways around it. Like getting a player to stand on top of a flying vehicle and recording his point of view to get an aerial shot of a scene.

Halo 3 lets you set up the scenes and use cameras and such, so its very easy to make a movie with :)

The voice work in this deserves praise. They even go as far as panting as they run or fight.
