House of the Ninja

An Introduction, in breif: The twelve ninja tribes have been fueding for a long time, many of them proclaiming dominance over the others. It quickly became apparent, though, that the cost of lives would be unacceptably high, and destroy all of the clans' power if left to play out that way, so a cunning system of alliances were worked out. Each ruling family would send their eldest male and female of the coming generation into one large mansion, and their, with skill, stealth, strength, sense, and whatever OTHER methods might come to hand, they will decide the future of the clans...

In character, each participant is given the following rules to follow:

There is a code of conduct all the participating Ninja are expected to follow.  These rules are strictly in character, meaning that you can, of course, choose to break them.  There is apt to be in character penalties, though (And in some cases your character may be eliminated from the contest).  In character you are free to do anything not forbidden by the rules and/or anime-physics-ly impossible.

The Rules of the Contest are simple:

Each clan is either a Matriarchy or a Patriarchy, though the other clans generally do not know which. The ultimate goal of each clan member is trick, trade, and seduce their way into positions of power over members of other clans, in particular, the next generations Matriarch or Patriarch.

Forceful rape is not allowed. While the use of tools, such as aphrodisiacs and such, are expected, forcibly tying someone down and taking them is not permitted.

No killing.

No one may be on any sort of chemical birth control.

Other than that, each person is free to do as they will to further their own goals and/or the goals of the clan.

I intend to use a rather homebrewed stat system and such, as follows.  Please post any questions/comments/concerns etc.:

OOC Rules:

It's rather an unwritten rule of the contest, but no leaving the house. Once everyone's inside all the doors to the outside are sealed, and the windows are unbreakable. Yeah, that's it.

Who's in What Room: In character, you're not allowed to know who is in what room unless you enter the room, all the rooms are sound proofed and such, so you at least have to peek in the door.

A "Round" of interaction is rather vague. If two characters are just talking one round is probably around ten or so posts, or when they both decide to leave. If they're actively trying to seduce each other (or one seduce the other) It's about every post from each of them. maybe every two. A round instantly resolves if one player casts a spell on the other, another person becomes involved in the scene, or someone leaves the scene. During sex a round is every pair of posts.

Masterbating: I reccomend giving it two or three posts, give someone time to interrupt the character, of course, if you look around the house OOCly and notice everyone else is busy, you can shorten it to one post so you can get back in the action.

Sleeping and Eating: The game is structured such that, if you interact with other people, you will eventually need to sleep. Every two or three times you sleep you also have to eat, because while the Ninja may have the skill to only have to sleep when they need mental recovery, they're still biological.

Gear stashes: Some characters have gear stashed around the house, they should PM me after the first IC "Day" and tell me where. The only way to discover such a stash is to be in the room when they use it. Any character with an "infinite" supply of the gear has stashes all over the house, potentially in every room.

Moving around the house: There will be rooms upstairs and downstairs, and hallways between them, you have to move through them in a logical manner (Like, going into the hallways to go between rooms, etc.)


Stat Sytem:

This RP shall use a rough stat system to properties of the participants:

Normal Stats: Represent actual physical health, mental strength etc.

Strength: Physical muscle, used to help decide physical confrontations, how much one can lift, etc.

Stamina: One's health, also one's ability to have extended quantities of sex. Every time a ninja climaxes their stamina is temporarily reduced by 1 until they sleep. When a male is at 0 stamina he is incapable of performing, while a female a 0 stamina may use no techniques during sex.

Willpower: How much one can resist mental techniques, poisons, and seduction. Also used to resist lust, and avoid climaxing during sex, as well as find hidden foes.

Allure: Poise, grace, and physical features that make up sexual attractiveness.

Skill Stats: Represent Ninja skills and abilities:

Stealth: Moving silently and invisibly, useful for avoiding people who may be able to take advantage of you, or set up traps.

Magic: Magic does miscellaneous, crazy things based on one's clan.

Technique: Skill at making oneself physically appealing, and effectiveness during sex.

Special Stats:

Lust: Gained by interacting with attractive memebers of the opposite gender, every point of Lust should be noted with who it was gained from. If your lust gets too strong you'll find yourself having trouble saying no when... Propositioned.

Un-Typed Lust: Aphrodisiacs, and a number of spells cause Lust without a source. This reduces normally, except during sex, where instead of being reduced to half, it is reduced to 1/4, and 1/4 of it becomes pleasure.

Control: During sex, whoever causes more pleasure for their partner gets points of Control to use against them.

Gear: You can put extra points when you create your character into gear. This represents how many items, like aphrodisiacs, condoms, weapons, and so on your character has along.

How does it work?

Some of the stats have general uses. Strength, in particular, is not tightly defined, but suffice to say, if someone has higher strength then you, you probably can't pin them down or anythin very well. Similarly, with Stealth, if your Stealth is higher than someone's Willpower, you can generally sneak by them unnoticed.

Combat: Should be resolved mostly free-form. If you take a lot of damage, or waste a lot of energy, your Willpower or Stamina should be temporarily decreased, but I leave this up to player discression.

Seduction and Lust: For most intents and purposes in this game, the characters are generally striaght, as such, Allure and Technique is halved against members of the same gender [Your character can be homosexual, in which case this rule is reversed]. What this means, basically, if you want to force someone into an abnormal relationship for them, your Allure and Technique are halved since they're not turned on by you as easily. When a character interacts with another for any period of time each character gains Lust equal to the opponents Allure minus the character's Willpower (Minimum of 0). When someone attempts to seduce someone else visually they either use their (Technique+Allure/2) or (Allure+Technique/2). If this number is higher than the opponent's Willpower it causes them to gain 2 Lust for ever point difference, or the person can take 1 point of Willpower damage to negate this loss. Physical seduction works similarly but using Technique x 2 instead.

Lust and Sex: If someone's Lust is at least two times their willpower, they begin to badly desire sex and will either attempt to seduce, or submit, to another to find release. When two people do have sex, each of them removes all points of Lust caused by their partner, and adds them as Pleasure (See "Having Sex" below), and then removes half (at their option) of their remaining points of Lust. Lust is also reduced to 1/4 if one sleeps.

Masterbation: One is free to use a bathroom or one's room to masterbate. One's Willpower is temporarily halved, and one's Lust is temporarily doubled, but once finished it halves the original Lust and restores 1 Willpower, or restores three Willpower. It does, however, cost 1 Stamina.

Having Sex: When two characters couple their goal is to give as much pleasure to the opponent as possible. This can either be free-formed, with whoever climaxes first "losing" and giving some number of Control points over them to the winner, or it can be done with the stats. When done with stats each participant gains Pleasure equal to the opponent's (Allure+Technique)-the participant's Willpower every round. Each may also spend a point of Willpower or Stamina to preform a "Special" technique (with appropriate detail) Which changes the formula to (Allure+Technique x 2)-the participant's Willpower OR reduces the opponents Willpower or Stamina by 1. When one hits 25 or more pleasure, one climaxes, increasing the pleasure by 5, and possibly ending the interaction. When it happens, one may spend 1 Willpower to increase one's maximum by 15, or before it happens, one my spend 1 Stamina to increase one's maximum by 20. If Stamina or Willpower are ever reduced to 0 the person immediately climaxes (Exception: Females who started sex with a Stamina of 0 do not climax when their Stamina reaches 0). A male can continue to have sex with a female who climaxed at the cost of 1 of his stamina, similarly a female can choose to continue having sex after she climaxes for 1 stamina. If a female's Willpower is 0 she can continue to have sex, but will climax every time she gains 5 pleasure.

Post Sex: Whoever caused more Pleasure to the other gaines Control points over that person equal to half the difference.

Control Points: Can be used to force someone to answer questions, preform tasks, or assist you in seducing them, by temporarily lowering their Willpower.

Pregnancy: Females can become pregnant, on about a 50% chance every time they have unprotected sex (35% if the male does not climax, 60% if both partners climax). If a Patriarch impregnates a non-Matriarch he has claim over that woman, and is considered to have the most Control Points on her at the "end." Similarly, if a non-Patriarch impregnates a Matriarch, he is considered owned by her at the end.

Eating: Restores 2 Stamina and 1 Willpower.

Sleeping: Reduces Lust to 1/4, and fully restores all stats, but immediately before bed, and immediately before waking up are vulnerable points for seduction.

Clans:

Rat: Sneaky and cunning, Rat Clan members get +4 Stealth and +1 Gear.

Ox: Calm and headstrong, the Ox Clan Members gains +3 Stamina and +2 Willpower.

Tiger: Sleek and graceful, the Tiger Clan Members get +2 Allure and +3 Stealth.

Rabbit: Elegant and Cautious Rabbit Clan members gain +2 Allure, +1 Technique, and +2 Willpower

Dragon: Members of the Dragon Clan are hot +3 Allure, +2 Technique

Snake: Sneaky and venemous, the Snake Clan memebers gain +3 Stealth and +2 Gear

Horse: Perceptive and Mentally Agile Horse Clan members gain +3 Willpower and +2 Allure

Sheep: Rightous and Determined Sheep Clan members gain +4 Willpower, +1 Technique

Monkey: Innovative and Tricky Monkey Clan members gain +1 Stealth, +2 Gear, +1 Willpower, and +1 Technique

Rooster: Organized and Self-Assured Rooster Clan members gain +2 Willpower, +1 Gear, +1 Allure, and +1 Technique

Dog: Loyal and Just Dog Clan members gain +5 Willpower

Boar: Gallant and Sturdy Boar Clan members gain +3 Stamina, +1 Willpower, and +1 Allure


Character Application:

Character Name:

Straight, Homosexual or Bisexual (Bi is considered a disadvantage, and worth 2 extra character points)

Clan:

Description: Physical (Should make sense with stats. No super-busty supermodel hot characters with Allures of 2, okay?)

History: If you want to have some of it public. Some people could be childhood friends, whatever.

Stats: You have 15 points to assign to your stats, and all stats start a 1, except Magic and Gear, which both start at 0, no stat may have more than 4 points assigned to it before your Clan bonus.

Normal Stats:

Strength: How strong you are physically, for purposes of wrestling others, lifting heavy objects, etc. Range from 1-5.

Stamina: One's health, also one's ability to have extended quantities of sex.

Willpower: How much one can resist mental techniques, poisons, and seduction. Also used to resist lust, and avoid climaxing during sex, as well as find hidden foes.

Extensive numbers and rather serious theme aside, I really intend for it to be, well...  Mostly just fun for the players, a bit of a less serious RP overall.

May be a little 'adventurous' for a new member's first game Dread, however it does look well thought out.

One comment Rape isn't against the rules here.
(With the exception of the rule against rape, as that would violate the ToS and get you, and possibly me, in some serious trouble)
So I guess you need to change your post a little?

(Of course the rest is up to you, as the origionator of the game, you can ommit or not allow anything you do not wish to have in your game)

Ack!  This is what I get for C/Ping without paying closer attention, I used my draft from RPOL since I had refined that one more, I forgot about a few of the alterations that had been made there...  There fixed that nonsense.

And it is ever my habit to aim entirely too high, though I've put a lot of thought into this game and have some confidence in most of...  Except the balance, but honestly if you're thinking about the balance of the system that hard you're probably missing the spirit of it.

I was originally in this game at Rpol before DreadD moved it. I followed here and would like to start again. Hopefully more people will be willing to join me.
