For hundreds of years vampires have been about undetected by the humans within Baker City. The powerful mind bending Royal Vampire Clan resided solely in the largely populated Baker City and was envied by many enemy vampire clans in neighboring towns. Although jealous of what the Royals had, enemy clans had witnessed the silent slaughter at which the Royals enforced whenever an attempt of encroachment arose. Wielding only swords against the heaviest gunslingers, a Royal could study and understand the movements of their opponents far quicker than any enemy. With such knowledge and knowing, a Royal was said to know exactly what their enemy was thinking in the heat of battle and to even gain access inside their minds, slowly wearing down and destroying the opponent from the inside out. And there was none greater at this than the King of the Royals.
Sitting highly on their thrones, the Royals lived lavish lifestyles. Their word was law in the city and whatever they wished was at their fingertips. Extraordinarily wealthy, unlimited supply of humans to feast upon and slaves for any of their sexual pleasures, the Royals had it very good but with such perks came a price. Royals law was very strict especially in that of keeping the vampire's existence in secret. Those that went against this singular rule by being sloppy in a kill or feast was not tolerated and those offenders would be publicly executed before all by the King. None were above this law, and the King demonstrated this once when his own daughter committed such a crime.
It was at that moment before the large chamber of Chadenhoff before an audience of the entirety of the Royals where the daughter of the King lie on a silk sheet over a table. She breathed slowly, without fear and in understanding fully of the serious crime she had committed of accidentally leaving behind a dead body after feasting.
Drawing forward, the King of the Royals tilted his handsome head to the side as he twirled a dagger through his fingers masterfully.
"With great power comes responsibility. And those who cannot control it cannot live amongst the Royals. No one is above this law," the King spoke as he did to every offender. The Prince of the Royals grasped the hilt of his sword nonchalantly as the King brought down his dagger swiftly just as a sudden burst of light blinded the vampires.
Blood was spilt and the King of Royals lay dead instantly over the now bloodstained white silk over the table.
Panic spread throughout the as the Royal Vampires. Feeling a betrayer among them, the vampires began to split in chaos while pointing fingers at one another and turning against each other. While some fled the chamber, others picked up arms and began to duel each other leading to the death of several more Royals.
Guardian vampires of the Royals moved the shocked Prince from the chamber where his mind wrapped around the realization that the King was dead and he was now the leader of the Royals. Gazing upon the destruction through grief lead eyes the next few nights, the Royal Prince took it upon himself to restore order along his ranks. Descending through the darkness, the prince took the throne as head of the Royals and began to repair what destruction had left in this powerful clan's ranks. But it was all too late as that night more blood was cast.
Fleeing the grounds of Chadenhoff, it was this masculine vampire that stopped just at the edge of the property. Kneeling down, the vampire grasped his own dagger and pressed his chin to his chest to expose the back of his neck and the crown carving in the skin that clearly marked him as a royal. Taking his dagger, the vampire began to cut away the skin and remove the identification of being a royal and in its place as his skin mended quickly beneath the moon's light, he carved his own clan into his neck. The Outsiders were formed, and with it a skull carving and a vow to destroy the Royals once and for all.
Those loyal to the Royals remained with the Prince as they began to recover what was lost. Those unsure were easily swayed by the Outsider's leader and turned against the Royals to begin the rebellion and consumption of Baker City. Where the Royals had suffered a betrayal, they slowed their recruitment if at all. Little to no new humans would be transformed into Royals where the Outsiders took every opportunity to change a strong human into one of their own army.
It was only the ex-Royals, however, that held onto their deep settled hatred for the Royals clan as the new recruits only cared for being a vampire in general. These offspring of the Outsiders enjoy feasting and openly slaughtering people leaving about traces of vampirism as the outsiders had no rules against it. And the humans began to take notice.
Fifty years later the humans are finally beginning to catch up with the vampires. Within their impenetrable estate, Wasche, the humans plan their attacks against vampires and research the dead or tortured vampires to find ways to kill them.
The Outsiders grow in numbers and physical strength with each new offspring as the Ex-Royals retain their intelligence.
The Royals remain few and although small they are not to be taken lightly. These vampires are still strong. Now more than ever perhaps.
Characteristics between Royals and Outsiders
Royals are intelligent and cunning killers, passionate lovers and very wealthy vampires. They are picky with whom they turn to join the Royals. Royals are careful of how they feast, doing so in secretive or safe ways and ensuring to clean up behind them to leave no trace. Characterized as the more "nice" vampire between Royals and Outsiders, but is not always the case. Where Outsiders may be more abusive physically, Royals can break down an enemy's mental state harshly.
Outsiders are brutal and open killers, forceful lovers and decently wealthy vampires. They are not picky with whom they choose to join the Rebellion, turning a handful of humans into vampires every night, however, are not scared to openly kill their own if they feel that a certain vampire should not have been created. Outsiders feast openly and do not cover their tracks as well after feasting if they do not feel like it. Outsiders take physical action upon their lesser beings through beatings. If an outsider takes a prisoner they would be subject to forceful rape, being whipped, flogged, canned, paddled, etc.
Vampiric Abliities
-Weak during the day, strong during the night
-Cannot go out during the day
-Nocturnal vision
-A sense of life (can feel humans nearby through walls, doors, etc.)
-Inhuman strength
-Inhuman speed
-Quick health regeneration
-Can stealth or hide into the shadows.
Note this is nearly impossible to do against other vampires, but is highly successful against humans.-Mind bender. Can break down the will of someone by correctly saying things.
Note this is Royals Only-Brute strength. Can demolish nearly what they choose with little to no effort.
Note this is Outsiders OnlyAdded: Vampire's weakness
As for the vampire's weakness, most of the "myths" about vampires are just that; myths. They are however weak to sunlight and cannot spend more than a second's time in the light and even with this they become extremely weak really quickly. With this being said, most, if not all, vampires die in the sunlight as they only have seconds of time to get into the shadows while their power becomes diminished, weaker than a human's even. If a vampire is lucky enough to be saved from daylight, they are weakened for a long period of time as they lose their healing touch. In addition to this, any wounds added to a vampire that was exposed to sunlight will recover longer then normal. This can lead to death if obtaining serious injury especially if losing blood.
Losing all blood will lead to death of a vampire. A vampire's natural instinct is to enter the "Vampire Frenzy" to save themselves from this. The frenzy will lose the vampire's mind as its body takes control to feast. Once feasted they return to normal.
Lastly, it was stated that the old Royal king used a dagger to kill his own that went against the Royals or broke the rules. Vampire hunters (Note this is the vampires that hunt vampires, not humans as humans are still researching ways to kill vampires) will also use similar weapons made of a particular metal that stops the healing process of a vampire. When wielding a melee slashing weapon made of this metal, the slashes become unable to heal on a vampire's own. When wielding a gun with bullets made of this metal, the bullets will embed into the vampire and slowly disintegrate the body from the inside out. Any wounds with this type of metal is reversible with mending aid, however, only few vampires know the cure.
Added info on dhampir (half vampire)
Also if deciding to go dhampir I'll make it a bit more hard on you. All your vampire abilities would be cut in half and are not as strong as a full fledged vampire. If you wish to gain the abilities, however, you can be transformed normally by a vampire. Your weaknesses that you recieve as a vampire are also reduced. You can still die to sunlight, but it not as fast. You can stand in the sun for an hour or so, but it feels uncomfortable. Your weakness to the specific vampiric killing metal is reduced as well, but so is your vampire healing. This would then cancels out to a regular vampire being attacked in this way.
Dhampirs have a taste for blood. They love it and find it more of a pleasure, but don't have to live on it.
Also you will know which house you're from based on if you have the additional ability of mind bender or brute strength. Both the Royals and the Outsiders can also feel if you are friendly or a foe but both will dislike you, your opposing faction of course will dislike you more. Dhampirs are a joke to vampires. You will not, however, carry the mark of either Royal or Outsider on the back of your neck. Being part vampire, you are also disliked by humans.
Main Locations
Chadenhoff
An age old vampire estate upon the edge of Baker deep in Royal territory. Dwelling in a deeper part of the woods, Chadenhoff is overlooked by humans. When on the premise, a human may feel uneasy as if something is watching them. This feeling slowly will drive drive a weak human mad. As for a Vampire, Chadenhoff is a wealthy estate where many Royal vampires reside. This is where the vampire prince and his siblings reside, however our particular Royals are welcome to live in Chadenhoff. Outsiders are forbidden on the premise unless brought in by a Royal. If an outsider attempts to enter Chadenhoff uninvited, patrolling Royals will attack.
Gantz
A newer vampire estate in the center of Baker directly in Outsiders territory. This estate is filled with the latest trends and feels inviting to humans. Many humans are curious and fascinated by this high tech and wealthy estate. As such, they are easily lead inside. Gantz hosts the leader of the Outsiders rebellion and his siblings, however our particular Outsiders are welcome to live in Gantz. Royals are forbidden on the premise unless brought in by an Outsider. If a Royal attempts to enter Gantz uninvited, patrolling Outsiders will attack.
Wasche
An undercover human estate. This is a safe house for humans that choose to hunt vampires and those who have found themselves involved with vampires. Hunters plan their attacks here and most hunters will live in Wasche. Human victims to vampires may also find Wasche their home if they are scared for their lives.
Vampires inside Wasche are dead or prisoners only as Wasche is nearly impenetrable. It is the most secure and hardest to enter as an enemy to Wasche of all the estates.
Sygen
A human "farm." Adorned fashionably in leather couches, velvet carpets and silk curtains that separate rooms from the main chamber. Within rooms lay any vampire's fantasy. Sygen is located between human, royal and outsiders territories. Most of the time sygen hosts vampire consumers but does not turn its back to human consumers. Humans are not aware that Sygen is run by vampires and will buy slaves for sexual purposes only. Although able to purchase any type of ribbon slave, humans will normally buy red ribbons as they are cheap. Human slaves provide the vampires and humans in services that are marked with a ribbon around their necks.
Red Ribbon- "Slut Slaves" are to serve their master vampires alcohol until pulled by a singular or multiple master(s). The puller(s) is/are allowed to only have sex with these slaves for a low cost. The more pullers, the cheaper the Slut. These slaves may or may not have been bitten in the past. Some have been bitten and need time to regain blood, others the head of Sygen chooses that they are to remain unbitten for his/her reasons.
Black Ribbon- "Feast Slaves" are to serve their master vampires alcohol until pulled by a singular master. The puller is allowed to feast, have sex or do both as they please for a medium cost.
Note that humans may purchase black ribbon slaves, but do not feast on them. They are bought in the thought that these slaves are "higher quality" than red ribbon slaves.White Ribbon- "Pure Slaves" are to serve only the head of Sygen. A Pure Slave is a virgin and, in addition but not limited to, has never been bitten. They are to wander about Sygen to display themselves, but are not to give themselves to the vampire masters. If a vampire master chooses a Pure Slave, then they are to speak with the head of Sygen and settle for a price.
The head of Sygen may or may not be a player. If not, players may speak to him themselves accordingly. If a player is the head of Sygen they may be male or female, but if no one chooses to then he will be male. He/she is a royal vampire but remains neutral between the Royals and Outsiders as he/she gains a wealthy lifestyle between both sides. When a vampire comes into Sygen, he expects that they are to be there only for the services. Those who come to choose a fight will promptly be removed.
Although the head of Sygen, if portrayed by a player you may move him/her out of Sygen and into the city or Chadenhoff from time to time, but must return to Sygen. If no one plays the head then he shall remain in Sygen at all times.
All slaves work within Sygen, but can be bought out of Sygen by a vampire master by speaking with the head of Sygen.
Slaves of Sygen are obtained from the streets by "Catchers" or are enslaved when entering Sygen if the head pleases.
Humans control "100%" of Baker as they see it. Royals currently control 62% of Baker City mainly to the north. Outsiders control 48% of Baker City beginning and following up south.

Process to becoming a vampire
When a vampire wishes to turn a human into a vampire they will sink their teeth into the human's neck and drain the blood of the human until near death. The vampire will then slit their wrist and feed their own blood to the human. The human will be weak for an unknown amount of time depending on the human. Within this time the vampire master must carve their faction into the neck of their successor.
A vampire can sense which faction a certain vampire belongs to. A Royal may wish to change to an Outsider but will never be fully accepted or be treated as fairly as original Outsiders unless undergoing a re-transformation. Those serious about changing their faction will have the skin carved away from the back of their neck where the symbol would have been previously. Once the skin heals, the vampire proceeds onto the re-transformation. When doing a re-transformation a vampire will follow the normal procedure of turning a human into a vampire. The vampire undergoing the process will not become weak, however, and will endure the carving of their new faction into their necks. Once complete, these vampires are betrayers to their old faction and will be killed on sight.
