Caustic

The focus is around a small party in the 'good-old' days of adventuring, where everyone's low-level and slowly starting to grow into a hero of some sort... so far, Valerian and I have started... there's to be a focal-point adventure to provide a general arc, based around one of the characters' destiny/curse, but there will be side-plots aplenty.

What we need is a couple of flexible players, willing to make things up as they go along and not dependent on dice to control the plot.  The pace is, so far, 2 or so posts per day, when possible.

While this game isn't system-dependent, but I see no reason not to flagrantly steal ideas from system games if they work in the setting.  Additionally, I don't think every player or character would fit this game, so-- my apologies in advance if we say 'no'.  If you'd like to get a glimpse of the early stages, it's Here.  Please feel free to message me about this if you like, or just to post questions or ideas here... all character concepts welcome.
Stories are for those late hours in the night when you can't remember how you got from where you were to where you are. Stories are for eternity, when memory is erased, when there is nothing to remember but the story. -Tim O'Brien

VandalSavage

Ah, at last.  An opportunity to collaborate with Caustic.  And with Valerian along.  My ink well runneth over.

So, after reading the thread, it seems the standard quasi-Medieval setting so far as culture and technology is concerned, with some vile blight upon the land.

Of the following two rough character concepts, which would work best?

A cunning, ruthless brute of a fortune hunter with a rapacious appetite for secrets.

A female "Beowulf" - errant hero with delusions of grandeur and a dedication to bringing the scourging light of her divine visions to the darkness that encrusts the world.
