Not sure whether anyone else has posted six word short stories or not before. Regardless, here is a brief explanation for you. The idea of six word short stories is that each reader will go away with a different idea of what has actually happened in the plotline (and each story is obviously only six words long!). I wanted you to each go away with something to think about, so that's why I chose to write these!

I'll put a few for you all, so feel free you use them as openers or to post your own up on this thread  :-)

Light was all he could see.

The armour she wore was destroyed.

Wanted: an edible apprentice, starting immediately

Waiting patiently looking through the crowds...

She was right, life had purpose.

After ignoring warning, he slipped violently...

The shadows shifted, moving forward gracefully.

An exciting day had proved lethal.

Muddy footprints over the walls. Mysterious.

The tea had long got cold

He had misplaced his wedding ring

Happy Reading!

The fragile bird flew deep below.

The walls of light breaking in.

The jelly splatter on the floor.

The distance between him and her.

How close his hands were dawdling.

“There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it.”

Ooo... My favourite from those has definitely got to be "The walls of light breaking in". Brings to mind an fortress consisting entirely of light that has come under seige, or the shafts of light that make their way through badly drawn curtains in the morning!

I'll add to the list:

She, the ship, drowned by fatigue

A moth fluttering carelessly over ruins

The red light finally switched off

Faced with the cliff of eternity

On the note, only "Help Me"

This is really getting to be enjoyable. "The walls of light breaking in," I could capture the right words, like those of trees over a road in the fall as sunlight breaks in as spotlights.

The paper was left alone, blank

She had to pull the trigger

He glimpsed the face of death

The echoes of nobody left around

The tumbling doll down the steps

“There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it.”

naughtygirl

I know how you feel! Writing these can be so easy, but so powerful when combined with an individual's imagination  :-)

He was met with haunted corpses

Page after page was left unwritten

Now darkness filled her heart's cavity

Wisps of wind dancing with melancholy

Touches of skin in stolen moments

lonlyazn

The sound of peeling ringed everywhere

The boiler steaming and screaming furiously

Stairs creaked when it fell slowly

They looked into each other again

His fingers burnt, his eyes seared

“There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it.”

naughtygirl

A pained heart, but smiling face

Shards of glass placed delicately everywhere

Whispered worries through forbidden key holes

Claw marks painted his dead skin

Wishes softly fell from sunny skies

lonlyazn

Wow that set was just... wow...

Embers grazed her ash covered face

Willingly knowing that it was ending

Laughter erupting in the silent halls

Eyes fixed onto broke shards of

They sought death willingly accepting fate

“There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it.”

naughtygirl

Thanks!

Lonely lovers sitting hand in hand

Petals flying faster than her tears

A prison of her own thoughts

Tangled limbs clustered lifelessly together now

Screamed curses without any hearing ears

lonlyazn

Sat back to back not knowing

Only separated by a thin wall

Between the chasm sat many bones

The earth screamed as it rained

The moon wept at the sight

Her innocence long forgotten and lost

“There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it.”

naughtygirl

Two worlds apart, and forever connected

One sharp glance slit his throat

Howling passionately for a broken heart

Dust settles on the piano keys

Fingers clasping at a lost future

lonlyazn

Tracks made across the gentle surface

Blades that slit and glided across

Razor and all, she did it

Forbidden, the paths cannot be crossed

Limits continue to be broken by

“There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it.”

naughtygirl

The twisted branches of her soul

Glazed eyes dropped with foreign tears

Flesh eating emotions ravishing his mind

Hell was only beneath her surface

Glistening diamonds flowing through ebony hair

lonlyazn

I am totally in awe of your beautifully written phrases

Eyes dangling on the leather straps

Tightened around her neck, they began

Hope springs through rotten wooded walls

Petrified by the mirror they saw

Tattered rags pressed against her bosoms

“There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it.”

naughtygirl

Why thank you  :-) I am inspired by yours :-)

Pain and pleasure mixed into ecstasy

The moon lit her empty hollows

Her lip pulled by ravenous fingers

Emerald ivy sheltered their unforgivable secret

Black eyes like the soul within

lonlyazn

Hollow embers sparking insanity in there

The mind flutters with whispered sounds

Eyes unseen, but felt before her

Silence creep into her empty ears

Blood dripping down icicles of silver

“There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it.”

naughtygirl

Cobwebs spun on her heart stings

Melted into a hell of deceit

She placed her thoughts into boxes

Dust rising from the back wheels

The sky shot with amber tones

lonlyazn

Sounds of leather crackling out loud

Dark stains bled deep into plants

Collar she wore, in her blood

Laughter that brought back sinister memories

“There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it.”

naughtygirl

Unrequited lustings ran through her head

Two socks lay on the sand

Swooping in the turbulent tropical storms

She had run through broken ankles

lonlyazn

Lust and adrenaline through their veins

Two hands holding tightly in air

One saw, the other didn't in time

Threw his body to shield her

“There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it.”

naughtygirl

She felt feelings flutter her heart

Pulled apart by cruel Fate's hands

Kisses placed delicately on his limbs

Bodies entwined on the woodland floor

lonlyazn

Vines entangled the two, trapped together

Branches grazing their skin leaving marks

Feeling so left alone, he fled

Heart torn, his heart felt again

Kisses so exotic from another world

“There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it.”

naughtygirl

It feels surreal how I appear to be talking to you on several different threads  :P

A night of passion forever remembered

Winds brushing away her sorrowful tears

Jealousy consuming his soul like burning fire

Arms pulled back, her face surprised

Her bruises left their fond memories

lonlyazn

It is strange. But I enjoy we have a lil forum to ourselves quite a bit.

Envy bit him, raged built up

His possession, in his grasp belonging

Eyes burned crimson, but with desire

Killed in action, trying to protect

Falling in her grasp, lost within

“There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it.”

naughtygirl

As do I :-)

Fantasy and reality blurred into one

A line of weapon-like toys

Stranded alone together they fought desire

Competition for her heart brought madness

....Why has everything started to become sexual?  :P
