Connor O'Fearghail has the distinction of being rather famous. Not per say that he has gained fame, rather its his family name that brings attention to himself. Connor O'Fearghails father is none other then Captain Padraig O'Fearghail, Commander of the 13th Legion - a name spoken in disgust and as a curse. Many blame Padraig O'Fearghail for the fate of the 13th and associate his name with distrust.
Connors life has been anything but easy due to the exploits of - or the mystery that surrounds - the fate of his father. Connor, of course, was only 6 years old when his Fathers Legion disappeared and he has been hearing about it ever since. Constantly picked on, teased, and abused, Connor grew a hard outer shell to weather the abuse and excelled in the arts of Combat. He threw everything he had into it so that he could literally beat down those who picked on him and he literally did - crowned class champion at a young age. He had the finest tutors money could buy but his mind was always focused on one goal. A goal that his mother did not want him to succeed in.
Connor is not the eldest child. A brother, 4 years older, was already enrolled in the Academy, on the merits of the Family name, on course to becoming an officer. At 10 years old, the loss of his father and the Legion made life for Connors older brother very difficult. Connors brother - Liam O'Fearghail - was given his first command at the age of 16, in a remote Fort in the Mountain Passes in the East. Two years later, when the unified Orc Tribes poured down out of the mountains (Connor was only 14 at the time) Liam lead a fatal last stand at the Keep as it was over run, gallantly defending with his life, the last man to fall. The Heroic act returned some honor to the O'Fearghail name, but it was the last straw for his mother - now having lost two of her most treasured family. Connors dreams of joining the Academy - already 4 years behind his brother - were shattered.
Connor did not give up, however, and ran away from home. Only 14 years old, he signed on with the Black Fist - a Mercenary Company widespread throughout Ribenheim. Connor has spent the last 4 years with the Black Fist, rising through its ranks and making plenty of his own coin, though he has not seen his mother since. He is a Veteran of one Campaign and dozens of smaller skirmishes and jobs but now at the age of 18 he has struck out to find the location of his father.Reason behind joining the Party:
Connors Uncle - his Mothers brother - is part of the well-known and wealthy Brionti Family. Using his own funds plus the backing of such a powerful family, Connor is hoping to establish a small Party to venture out into the Wilds, though he hasn't been quite honest with the 'mission'.Additional Notes:

The Riddick Family, while being Common, is a Family of fiercely loyal men. Every generation has served the Empire for its greater good in the many branches of the Military. Master Logan is one such man, a Veteran of several campaigns. It was while serving under Padraig O'Fearghail that he was first noticed by the Lieutenant (at the time) himself and a friendship was quickly formed. Logan quickly proved himself a skilled fighter and was soon assigned to the personal guard of Padraig O'Fearghail, and then onto a personal Bodyguard and Aide.
It was due to this service that Logan became a friend of the family. Logans loyalties soon shifted from the Empire to the O'Fearghails and he nearly gave his life defending Padraig. Padraigs wife - Connors Mother - nursed Logan back to health but due to the limp that is still with Logan, he was released with Honors from the Service and was immediately hired by Padraig to be the Sword Master of his own family.
Logan became like a father to the younger O'Feargahils and was an integral part in the training of Connor from an early age. Connor has come to respect him as both a Father and a Mentor and always seeks his advice. It was also Logan who was sent after Connor once Connor ran away, tasked to bring Connor home safely no matter what the cost. Knowing that no words would bring Connor back, but unable to fulfill his end of the bargain, Logan acted as Connor's Shadow, going everywhere he went, serving in the Black Fist Company, always watching Connors back.
Unbeknownst to Connor, Logan has also been sending letters to his Mother on his whereabouts and health. He also helped Connor secure the funding of the Brionti family for the planned small expedition and - as always - stands faithfull by Connors side. Logan - with no family of his own - looks at Connor as his own son and admires the boy for the man he has turned into.
Logan also has personal matters to attend to. He owes his life to Padraig on more then one occasion and wants to discover the fate of such a remarkable man - despite the most probably ill fated ending such a quest will have. Logan also owes it to his family to discover the whereabouts of his own Cousin who was serving under Padraig O'Fearghail when the Legion set out on that ill-fated misty morning.Reason behind joining the Party:
Logan is Connors Guardian and Mentor, while seeking the answers to some of his own questions.Additional Notes:

She carries eight blued throwing daggers four along each side of her torso, allowing her to throw them readily. Her short sword is hung on her left hip while a large elvish fighting dagger rests across the small of her back (drawn to the left). Both her dagger and short sword are darkened so as to not reflect any light.

Náriel was born the daughter of a whore; her father was depending on the day a Elven minstrel, an ambassador, or a even a prince. The truth is probably somewhere in between. Not that Náriel cares or knows for sure. Her mother did the best that she could before she ended up dead in some dark alley in the city of Alsteron. So at the age of 16 Náriel ended up in one of the city sponsored workhouses an orphan. Picked on by the other children for being new and an Elf she learned quite quickly how to move about unnoticed and how to flee when she was seen. She spent most of her time working her skills not entirely going unnoticed by the proprietor of the workhouse. She took the young girl under her wing, introducing her to a less then reputable crowd of people some of whom were part of the thieves’ guild in the city. Running messages and carrying packages was replaced by picking pockets and serving as lookout, then petty theft and finally proper thieving. Náriel honed her skills in the arts of the rogue finally earning her place in the guild. Her other habits thought eventually cough up with her as she started to take more risks while out on guild jobs and more troubling to the guild was her operating on her own. Eventually the guild was forced to make her an example; despite her skills she was becoming too much of a liability to the guild. Náriel got wind of the guilds plans and decided to leave before things got out of hand. She fled the city wondering around the small towns and cities of the Kingdom continuing to improve her skill and incur the wrath of several other guilds who didn't appreciate freelancers intruding on their turf and hooking up with other 'adventurers'. She never stayed in any one place long or with any one group for more than an adventure or two. Eventually she found herself in Tetrarch with almost no coin and few prospects; worse still she had finished the last of the Dwarven Whiskey that she had 'acquired' in Moratha.
Seeing the notice for adventurers, she really just saw the offer of 500 gold up front; she decided that it was just too good an opportunity to pass up.Reason behind joining the Party:
Money; 500 gold crowns goes a long way to buying a warm bed, food and drink, and paying off some gambling debts.Additional Notes:
Sylvester EckhartCharacter Age:
Six foot one and lean of build, Sylvester is a strong and able bodied man in the prime years of his life. Though lacking a warrior's power, he possesses strength in his back and large round shoulders, but remains generally light on his feet for a human. His sharp, hazel eyes are set into a lean, narrow face with high cheekbones. A strong, clefted chin is covered in a fine, light brown stubble - matching the colour of his short, choppy hair and thick eyebrows. Several scars mark his body, including a narrow scratch above his brow that just cuts into his hairline, and a prominent one in the shape of a star above his hip where a barbed arrow had buried itself in his waist, chipping the bone but causing no lasting damage. Character Items:
Weapons include: A fine recurve bow made of layered ash wood and horn, two dozen fletched arrows with straight broad heads, hard, dark red leather quiver holding two dozen arrows, a large dagger with one serrated edge - complete with a sheath.

Items include: Flint, whetstone, repair and maintenance tools for archery equipment, money and a thick, hooded woollen cloak.Character Strengths and Weaknesses:
Archer - Highly skilled in the use of ranged weaponry. Favours the bow.
Brawler - Skilled at fighting with his fists and dagger, but his close quarters combat lacks discipline.
High Dexterity - Quick reflexes, and nimble fingers.
Sharp - Constantly on guard, and can react quickly to difficult situations. He also has keen vision, and often picks up on small details.
Selfish - Loyal to none, always looking out for his own interests above anyone else's. Doesn't like sharing.
Claustrophobic - Has an intense fear of small, enclosed spaces.Character Skills:
Ranged weapons - Bows, Crossbows, Slings.
Close Quarters Combat - Brawling.
Crafting - Can, with the correct tools and materials, craft and repair arrows and even basic bows.
Intimidation - Skilled in interrogation and intimidation tactics.
Tracking - Skilled tracker of animals and people.
Survivalist - Knowledgable with regards to surviving in the wilderness, including basic herbal remedies.Character Background and History:
Sylvester was born as a bastard son of a reasonably wealthy entrepenuer who had travelled to Tetrarch in order to search for ores and metals. Sly was raised there, but when Gaius Eckhart chose to return home, having mistakenly lost hope of finding any real deposits - he left Sylvester and his mother Sylvia behind. She died not long after during a mugging, and Sylvester was left in the care of his extended family - though he disliked them immensely. His childhood was largely solitary, but when he did seek company he prefered the thugs of the tiny town to his family.
When he was of age, he was pushed into joining the King's Army, where he trained as an archer. He spent several years with them travelling around the North, engaging in a number of skirmishes and open warfare. It was during this time that the now-famed 13th Legion was stationed at his hometown, and mysteriously vanished into the wilds. 6 years ago, he decided to flee the military and return to Tetrarch.
Since then, Sylvester has been a mercenary, doing whatever jobs he found in and around Tetrarch - some of questionable morals, others unquestionable in their criminality. He works most often alone, but isn't against working with others for a job - though it's often said around town he's an unlikable fellow, a cold and callous companion at the best of times.
Though not widely known, Sly has his own family. He has a wife with whom he has fathered 3 children; all boys. The eldest is only 4. He sees them on rare occassions throughout the year due to the nature of his work, and whilst he isn't truly part of their lives he does provide coin and support when he is able.Reason behind joining the Party:
The incredible pay is the sole reason. Though he is adventurous in nature, he is also very cautious. Risking his life where he knows the odds are fine, but travelling into the unknown could be fatal. However the money would provide for his family for a long time, and if he manages to return and claim the other 500 gold, he can afford to be with them as a husband and a father and not simply a distant benefactor. However if asked, he will tell people to mind their own business, or lie and say the money is to buy himself as whores to warm his bed for every night of the year. Additional Notes:
Elandra RavenholmeCharacter Age:
Twenty FourCharacter Sex:
See Picture.Character Items:
Across her waist Elandra wears a dark olive satchel which holds a few alchemical tools, empty scrolls, gold, quills and ink as well as some vials of premixed potions and performance enhancing drugs. For weapons, Elandra relies on the daggers hidden away within her robe as well as the short sword on her hip. She also wears a single gauntlet on her left hand, an intimidating piece shaped into the form of a makeshift claw.Character Strengths and Weaknesses:
Elandra’s greatest strength is her ability to read a situation or opponent and subtly manipulate the direction and flow of battle. She’s not the strongest, or fastest, fighter but makes up for it through preparation as well as a fluid and flexible combat style. Her greatest weakness is a fair fight with a capable warrior, an archer, or an extended duel. If Elandra can’t gain an advantage early in the battle then she will either retreat or surrender, if she feels the option is open.Character Skills:
Elandra’s knowledge of herbs and alchemy mixes well with a skill for crafting (basic items or traps), allowing her to adequately prepare for most trials or challenges. She can also wield most weapons – even if on a basic level - while favouring the short sword or dagger, although not to the point where she could hold her own against an experienced warrior without a little creativity.Character Background and History:
The Ravenholme family is a mixed lot, with no true place to call home and relatives scattered throughout the lands. Elandra was born to a woodsman (Vedrin Ravenholme) and adventuress (Vivian Orlanth) both of which cared for and raised her along with her grandfather (Redlan Ravenholme), a barbarian warrior. The four of them were inseparable for the first few years of Elandra’s life as they continuously hopped from place to place, never staying in any one area too long while normally sticking to the outdoors rather than the inns of towns or cities.
During their travels Elandra learnt how to survive in the wilds and plains, from the most sweltering deserts to the coldest tundras, as well as how to find work, hunt for animals, or live off the woods. It was a difficult existence, with few friends or people to talk to in general, but it was stable enough until she turned seventeen. When she finally came of age her parents and grandfather each went their separate ways, leaving her a few supplies and coins to get by. It was an exciting moment for Elandra as her parents had been preparing her for it since she was very young. And while they insisted she could stay with them for a little longer, the budding adventuress was far too eager to set out on her own and prove her worth.
It was a tradition amongst the Ravenholme to cut their able young loose into the world, to keep the family line alive and strong. It was an old custom from when the family was initially ejected from their barbarian tribe and forced to become loners. Determined not to simply fade into obscurity, the family chose to embrace their existence as scavengers, woodsman, nomads, adventurers, hirelings and wanderers.
Free of the family leash, the young Ravenholme instantly made some changes to her lifestyle, with the biggest being her sudden habit of stopping by each and every tavern she came across, all in an effort to soak up as much culture and personality as possible. If there was an exotic food to try, she would gobble it up. And if there was an opportunity to get involved in a ritual or custom, she wouldn’t hesitate to join in. She already knows a great many more people than when she was with her family and has really taken to life in an inn rather than under the cold night sky.
Meanwhile, between these ventures into both the strange and wonderful, Elandra has proceeded to make her living through almost all types of work; from the legit to the underhanded and from the simple to the complicated. It hadn’t taken her long to learn that if you wanted to enjoy the pleasures life had to offer, you had to have the gold to support it. Lately however Elandra has chosen to stick with the moderately safer jobs, unless the money is worth it, as she's gradually grown an addiction to some of the enhancement drugs she's been forced to take during the more risky missions.Reason behind joining the Party:
To accumulate further wealth, property, or prestige… Additional Notes:
Elandra has developed a slight addiction to her own drugs…
