A question! (Temporal Mechanics)
« on: January 20, 2008, 02:57:21 AM »
You know how these things work, let's go:

If someone from the future were to come back to the present timeframe and have sex with someone who in the chain of events, allowed them to exist via the offspring (whom was to be born via that encounter previously mentioned), would their life end up in a loop, why-so, or why-not-so? What would be the implications on the timeline?

I'll have a stab at that.

There would be a loop, but only for that particular chain of events. Once that moment has passed, the person from the future would be able to continue on with their life, presumbably returning to the future to go on with things (or perhaps staying in the past)
