Of Capes and Cowls (M seeking F)

Recently I've been wanting a superhero roleplay. I'm fairly flexible as to the exact pairing; two heroes who share an origin (think Cloak and Dagger), two heroes who are simply on the same team (think Rogue and Gambit), or even a hero and a villain (think Spider-Man and Black Cat). I would prefer to avoid canon universes, but I'd prefer if the story veered more towards the DC than the Marvel end of the scale; I hate it when a hero spends more time moping over their life than going out and kicking butt. I guess I'm aiming for more of a Silver or Bronze Age story than an Iron Age one.
