I have been on this site for a good month or so and of the four or five threads I've shown interest in only one has started. All the others have stopped after my last post. I'm not concerned with the adult Rps so much given that there are plenty of other avenues to run down. It is simply aggravating to show interest in something and then have it die before it starts, this is not the only site I have this issue with either.

Well, that's the way it goes here. You have to remember there are several factors. I know for someone like me, my interests ebb and flow. What I wanted to do yesterday, I don't want to do today. Partner chemistry is also important. It's almost like looking for a job. Of the thousands available, only hundreds you're interested in, of those hundreds, 10s you might have mutual interest... and of those, a handful of games that actually get started. And about a quarter of those that don't die soon after birth.

Keep poking around the forums and keep showing interest. It's not you. It's just the way things work. :)

Ya Dak I understand, I'm trying to be more flexible. But it is hard when the same scenario repeats itself over three to four different sites.

Kendra if want to be an Elf that's kewl with me and I have no problem being a human... So often I play a fighter of some type think I wanna change it up a bit and do magiks now how we put all that together remains to be seen, but there are a few ways it could go that just hit me. Elf = highly proficeint at magic, some elves are simpathetic to human plight and offer to help, ergo they teach the human mages thier craft. OR elf is captured and has high resistance to magiks and is used for target practice of new mage class both harmful and healing... wouldn't want it to die right away ya know. THIRD Somehow meet on the battlefield and get stuck together for whatever reason. Any other ideas would be great.

actually love them ... how about a blend of the second and third.
They bombard her with their magic accidentally turning her from a neutral elf to a dark elf, unbeknown to the humans of course. They just presume the shift in her appearance is some sort of shield or a side effect. She is magically linked to your human so that the two are to go and fight together to see if this 'bond' can be effective. They are misguided in believing that elves won't kill their own. The elves see her as a dark elf now and begin hitting them with everything they got, so she has no choice but to put her lot in with the human bound to her.
He also becomes the only hope she has again of returning to her previous form.

Sounds kewl where do we want to start the story at?
What shall we call it in IC and do we really need CSs since these characters are completely estranged to begin with and are likely to get to know one another through the course of the venture?

Well, that's what I'm saying. It's a universal thing. These sites are nice as it brings a common group together, but within this group there are different temperaments, preferences, etc. Ons and Offs. :) Of the thousands there, only a handful may be compatible. Try using the Player search (click "Players" at the top of the page), poke through the request forums and post your own requests.

Trust me... it IS frustrating, but don't take it personally. You're fabulous. Not everyone will see that, but those who do are the ones that matter anyway. ;) Ok, that's more for real life, but it's a good thing to keep in mind. :)

SE my humble apologies, I thought I had replied to this

it wouldn't do any harm to get up a character sheet actually, I don't always tend to do one for solo games but they are always good to do
As to a name ...

f you have any titles yourself that you want to toss out - feel free ;)

Cogs of Time
Wheels of Magik
Desperate Measures
Enemy Bound

sorry the head isn't quite right yet, not sure if I'll be on again today either

No big, interesting avi.

Uhm enemy bound sounds good to me, specially since it's kind of how the story will play out.

See you when you get back in the saddle. I'm off to construct a CS.

One more thing where should the story begin?

Name: Marcus De'fay
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Appearance: Roughly six foot tall, brown hair with hints of red in the light down to teh shoulders generally left loose, fledgling goatee(facial hair is not a dominate gene for him), emerald blue eyes with a gold ring around the pupil. A little pale from continous studies inside but not white. Normally wears blue and gray robes denoting his magical abilities, out in the field it's an all leather bodysuit with different pockets and straps to hold an assortment of devices meant for fighting elves(but hes not very talented with most of them) and a long ankle length trenchcoat also made of leather.

Personality: Generally kind and quick to laugh but more reserved about himself. Has great disdain of harming those unable to defend themselves no matter the species.
Talents/Abilities: knowledge in many schools of magic but has a preference to wind and lightening and healing spells seem to react well in his presence.

Kinda want to leave out history and develop it during conversation between characters.

SE
apologies for delay with this
RL has been hitting me for six - I've even dropped quite a few of my group games
If you can bear with me a little longer, I will get a CS up and we can start the ball rolling.
I don't want to end up being another member that dropped on you  :-\

It's ok, I understand RL comes first. It's easier to wait when you know the person is coming back too. No rush come back when you can... so long as you come back *giant puppydog eyes*

I did not mean to stay away and I apologise for my absence from your thread.
Life got really busy and trying to stay on top of my games became virtually impossible to the  point where I have this week let quite a few of them go.
With that beings said, it means that with such limited time and December possibly being quite manic, I won't have time to start up a new game.

I do apologise >.<
I sincerely hope you get involved in a good game and find one that works for you

*hugs*
