Errr...I don't recall that being an option under Basic, so it probably didn't make its way into Basic Fantasy.

But RS might know better.  Or even bestow upon you her boundless generousity by house-ruling it  ;)

True, but since at first level we only get one attack anyway, it'd be (at best) an image thing.  Still cool, of course.

(looks up from Discworld novel)

"I know Cohen the Barbarian and his Silver Horde, sir, and you are no Cohen the Barbarian!  For one thing, he's the oldest barbarian hero on the Disc, and you're much too young..."

 :D ;D :D

I heartily recommend "Interesting Times", although both Cohen shows up in earlier books.  The whole 'Silver Horde' running gag is worth it...

They're a fast read.  Even my wife (who reads a LOT slower than I do) can finish them in a couple of days.  They're also very funny, if you like your fantasy with a bit of irony.

Terry Pratchett, and you're looking for the Discworld books.  :)  There's probably a wiki about it around someplace...

OOOPS!

I am most severely mistaken!  The two-weapon fighting option is indeed active for this game(at the very, very bottom of RS's first post she lists it).  There's a Combat Options file on the BFRPG page.  It's in there.

Sorry for the utter muckup, Stevej!

I thought I saw it somewhere, have to go up and get one of the other files then I guess to find out what I need to do, dual wielding main battle  tank is always good cover for the squishy ones :D

Looking at the rules there is a severe cost to that, a - to each of the swings, the primary may work out to even after the dex add in but I don't think I'd ever have an even roll on the off hand.

Guess I'll go for the General Badaxe look then  :)

Big stick with lots of sharpness on the end

We can't start this without a cleric and a magic-user, another fighter would not hurt. Anyone know of any other players, or want to run two characters.

I'll roll a second, would prefer a MU but the cleric would be ok depending on the stats.

Let me go find out what they give me :)

Actually on the basic site I thought I was a char gen specfic for the game, I may try that if its cool with you.

Ok, the second set is;

STR 16
DEX 14
CON  8
INT   8
WIS 12
CHA 5

http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?a=show&id=1421998

Actually, I would almost rather use these for the fighter and the other for the MU

Fine, I suggest though swap the Cha for the Con, then the Con adjusts as per huse rules to 9 instead of the five and the Cha is better. This way you get no Con penalty and benefit a little in Cha.

Great now we need a CLERIC. With undead in the first adventure and healing starting at Level 2 won't be that far into the first adventure to get there you need one.

Anyone reading this want to play a cleric?  :-\

Easy enough to make one, but for the moment I'd prefer to give first refusal to any newcomers.  :)  Rather than inflict upon you Happy Bob, the Smiling Cleric...

I have had a player interested in the position hope they take it. She says the avatar kind of is distracting her maybe I should remove it?  ;)
