Sounds great! I already have the best idea for it. :-)

Is that a +1 to the 'demon league of doom' idea?

Vergil1989

As a potential DM I too approve of the idea of the demon league idea lol.

I think we need a demon Character Sheet as well.  What do you guys think?  We can classify our different dominions or domains or whatever it is we're thinking about doing the same way the gals are doing with their specialties and all that.  That's just my two cents while I'm thinking about all this.  If you agree I'll gladly pull up a sheet for us to use with Iridium's approval of course since this is more or less her game still.  I know I ain't a DM or anything, it's just an idea that came to mind.

Am I too late to sign up for a demon spot?

Is there a line I can stand in?  ;)

We might actually have too many demons but I could be wrong.  I haven't really checked to see how many we have of each yet but I think last count was five demons and four or three human gals.  We need more gals I think more than anything but again don't quote me on that lol.

compile a list of demons and domains and see if they overlap?

Vergil1989

That might not be a bad idea actually.  I was more meaning like fit the demons into like classes such as Lust, Sloth, etc or something like that anyway.  Considering the nature of this game though they are all going to be into lust obviously to some degree or another, but powers would need to match up with domains/dominions is what I was leaning towards.  That's just a quick example based on a more Christian look at things and I understand we have stuff from Norse mythos and all that as well, so it's all up to interpretation at this point lol.

It might be easier to compare demons based on their theme/abilities/minions, than any particular mythos or sin they embody. For example, I was planning a sneaky, stealthy shadow demon, appearing in and moving through darkness while manipulating shadows into claws/tentacles/etc. Sort of formless and liquid, with similar minions.

Wintercat

I'm stepping out.

While I loved Gantz and the reference got me excited, I think there's a lot of good folks volunteering to play demons already. I think that in this situation I'll back away and make room for Muse if he's upto taking my place in this still, or alternatively to drop the DM number by 1.

Anyhow, good luck and good hunting.
I've taken the Oath of The Drake. Remind me of it if you think I act against it.
A&A

Vaulera

I think element/expertise would be a better way to classify them because of the religious mix.

Sure, I'd love to see a demon character sheet as well.

Hmmm, I was actually thinking that we'd have one guy DM'ing the mission- Giving structure to what's going on- with other demon players filling the roles within the mission proper...And, of course, getting their hands on the girls. Glyph, I'd love to see you run it, if you feel up to it.

TheGlyphstone

Well, if we're forming a Legion of Doom, I guess I'm up to being Lex Luthor. Most of my in-game action will probably be through servitors/minions then, but that's okay.

How's this for a Demon Sheet:

Name: Bob The Demon
Titles:The Sampler, Lord of Examples, Demonstration In The Darkness
Appearance: (size, shape, distinguishing traits)
Powers: Boring abilities
Ban: A unique vulnerability, weakness, or limitation (all demons are vulnerable to stuff like holy water or blessed weapons, pick something unusual and thematically appropriate that is extra threatening/dangerous to you and your minions)
Typical Minions: Generic Minor Demon #248, Cultist In Ordinary Robes
Personality: Bland
Catchphrase: Mwahahahahaha!

Looks good to me my friend.  Might take a bit for me to get a character going, but just to ask, would it be odd if we had female demons as well as male by chance?  It'd open up more possibilities and stuff, but if that won't work it's cool.

Meliai

I like the martial arts girl best, seems like she'd be a fun change of pace from the rather serious-minded girls posted so far. Also, super cute.

On the other hand I've got a bit of a weak spot for miss Aran <3

Obviously the soldier girls who could be assaulted by female demons would be limited to those of us who bat for the appropriate team, but if it's alright with the others I'd love to see them in the mix

Also, great examples Glyph! I don't often find myself giggling in threads about giant wicked beasties ravaging warrior ladies :P

Honestly, I think we're a bit overloaded at this point, though ultimately it's Iridium's decision.

Here's my 'Demon sheet' as a fleshed-out, non-comedic example:

Name: Sceadugengos
Titles: Prince of Demons, Stalker In The Shadows, The Black-bodied One
Appearance: Pitch-black shadows compacted into a slender, long-limbed humanoid form. Two luminescent, pupil-less eyes in an otherwise featureless face. Has two legs and arms normally, but can sprout additional limbs at will.
Powers: Can animate and control shadows, solidifying them into arms or tentacles, teleport through shadows, and snuff out artificial light sources to create darkness.
Ban: Concentrated ultraviolet light, either from the sun or portable UV projectors.
Typical Minions:
-Shadowfiends: Animate blobs of darkness, rather like a massive inkblot with glowing red eyes when at rest. They can condense their rubbery, fluid bodies into arms and tentacles to strike at enemies, and are quite capable at entwining and grappling victims. Old or strong shadowfiends can adopt more creative forms, from winged bat-like monsters to humanoid shapes.
-Nether Hounds: Huge, hulking dog-like demons, capable of becoming almost invisible in shadows or darkness. They are strong, tough, vicious, relentless, and dumber than a bag of rocks wearing dunce caps, rarely used for more than shock troops or guards.
-The Blind: Human cultists sworn to Sceadugengos, who ritually gouge out their eyes in a prayer of fealty and are gifted with a mystical sixth sense that replaces their ruined vision. They often masquerade as ordinary blind people to disguise themselves, but fight with ferocious and fearless, if mortal, devotion.
Personality: As the partially self-appointed leader of the demonic entities that have made Honshu their hunting ground and personal fiefdom (if only by means of being capable of beating the crap out of any challenger to the position), "Scad" constantly varies between almost farcical malevolent plotting and total exasperation at his (in his opinion) far less capable 'allies'. He and his personal servant demons are phobophages, feeding from and growing strong on the fear of humans, so he is a great sadist who delights in tormenting captive, giving them the illusion of escape again and again only to drag them back into horror and depravity at the last minute. His minions spawn from the shadows of humans literally frightened or shocked to death, so he can benefit equally from captives taken as breeders by his compatriots - though they still compete amongst each other, to his amusement and encouragement.
Catchphrase: "Don't be afraid of the dark...be terrified."

The way I'm envisioning it, each of the 'story arc sessions' will be fighting against lesser demons and cultists (one or two demon each, plus a type of human worshipper who are 100% mortal but not subject to the Ban), who should be killable/tranquilizable, and as Iridium pictured, dependent primarily on brute force and muscle rather than supernatural powers. Master demons will only get screen time at the end of an arc, a 'boss fight' of sorts, and so can be a bit more flexible in how their powers function - though they should still preferably be brawlers. I cheated a little bit because I'm apparently in charge, and because every demon-hunting game needs a liberal helping of tentacle hentai. ;D

iridum248

Mmmm, I see. Though it might be fun to have slightly less harmful demons, too~ The ones a girl could have fun with/be seduced by- and get away with it, if she's careful. After all, the best way to build a fetish is with a good first experience. Love the profile, though. ^_^ Entirely appropriate.
