Interest Check: Small Medieval Fantasy game
« on: September 09, 2007, 02:57:39 PM »
I need a lighter game to lighten things up :) since I do like both. This will need probably four or five players.

An evil Prince, denied his offer of marriage to a Princess, kidnaps her and ties her to a post in a cave of his pet  dragons. What no one knows is this Princess has a power that tames dragons and brings them to her side.

A brave knight, who has always loved the princess, sets out to save her at the same time the evil prince is returning to the cave, angered that his pet dragons haven't killed the princess yet.

I'm seeing gang bang here for some reason.   ;D

I suppose I could be the brave knight riding to the rescue.

Ok, let's see, we have the princess, the knight, the squire...
So we need

Evil Prince
His Squire or Henchman
at least 2 dragons

Any sort of dragon would do...as long as they're at least 40 ft. long, green, fire breathing, and normally the type that eat maidens. :)

How come there are never any cheerful blonde dragons?  :(

That's a very good question. Hmmm. Perhaps we could work a cheerful blonde dragon in.

No! I'm keeping our plot! I have a plan for working the blonde cheerful dragon in that will bring the Princess' powers to light.

Cheerful and blonde?  (blinka blinka)  Hmmmm.  You mean, like, a Gold Dragon?  Dual breath weapon, et cetera, et cetera?

 :D

It brings certain running gags from my tabletop group to mind...

Like 'firing' a Kender (or Halfling or Gnome) from an arbalest to signal for close air support.

Or the use of Stinking Cloud in lieu of smoke grenades.

And of course the classic goofball line for a mixed group of dragons: "Red Leader, this is Gold Leader.  We're starting our attack run."

I think mine will go by 'Mallory'.  You can tell his name is 'Mallory' because that's what it says on his Dragon License, which hangs from the big collar around his neck.  Said name may have been assigned by the Prince's wicked but slightly dotty maiden aunt...

(In proper Draconic style, his real name is much more impressive and includes numerous sobriquets and titles.  But we can stick with 'Mallory')

Cool. Of course, when he introduces himself to the Princess, he can give his full title. Just because I want to know it,l ol.

Still have need of a Squire, perhaps a some what idealistic young man who is mostly stuck on the fairy tales about all things in life

I do believe our squire is filled, if both Hunter and Silvestine are playing.

We need

Evil prince
henchman/squire

Hunter is playing unless someone didn't tell Hunter that he wasn't.  ^_^

I'm wondering if "Mallory" speaks in a bad British accent....   ;D
