Have you ever wondered why certain people come into your life at certain times? I know I have. Some you are really close to and are more like family than your own family. Others are here today, gone tomorrow. And still, others are here for just moments... This poem I found on the internet and was posted in a group I'm on in there, I think sums this up the best:

QuoteReason, Season, or Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you figure out which one it is,
you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

How many do you know in each area? I know of people in real life and friend online that fit into each of these settings...

there are times when a change of direction is for your highest good. It takes courage to change direction. Choose the path your heart agrees with and walk with your head high and your eyes open. Don't be afraid.

but what if most everyone that comes in your life leaves you fealing like you are stuck in the darkest part of your soul.

I still feel that even if the person that has come into my life for whichever Reason, Season, or Lifetime, They are here to teach me some sort of lesson. Until I learn that lesson, they'll still be a part of my life in some way, shape or form.

Hello Jaden
I think that you have the right idea - people come and go into and out of your life for certain purposes. The problem is that in the present, it is difficult to understand what that purpose is / was. I believe that people enter and are like seeds. They are planted in our souls and if we allow them, those seeds develop into mature growing plants. If we separate the seed from us, growth cannot occur.
Some philosophy from a life wanderer...

That's a very beautiful thought process you have on this, Joeperverted. Thank you for sharing. :-)
