I had an idea for a FF8 themed normal(or light) game.  I'm still thinking out the details.

I am in if we create our own chars, playing some of the already classic chars tend feel repeating the story somewhat....

It would have to be original characters, yes.   :P

I'd be using dX ruleset (because it's free, not too complicated, and allows for overkill).

Probably starting in either the Galbadian Garden or the Trabia one.

Man, it's been a while since I played the game. The only Garden that I can remember is the one that Squall came from.

Abandoned I assume? I was actually pretty intrigued by this idea too...this or a FFVII game. :(
