I do not know what is causing it, as it happened sometime between when I last logged in before the big gap, and now... but the shoutbox is gone. Not blank, not failing to load... even the space in which it would normally sit is simply vanished, and what lies below has risen up to meet it. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this, and how I can fix it? It's really kind of irritating, and it was once one of my favorite aspects of the site.
