Broken Fairy Tales
« on: May 09, 2011, 05:40:34 PM »
Hello Everyone,

While my application is being approved, I thought it would be fun to start an RP, meet some of the other Rpers on this site, see the writing styles- generally take a lay of the land.

I would demand fairy tales as bedtime stories when I was younger- the darker the better. But as I've grown up, I've wanted the stories to grow with me in complexity and depth while still capturing the same essence of wonder and terror as the original stories.

That's where you, oh lovely reader, come in!

If you're interested, just post and we'll come up with a way a beautiful story can be made.

(P.S. If this is not the proper etiquette for starting a story, please let me know!)

Dark Fairy Tales are quite fun. Even darker versions of the dark ones. I remember this picture that's almost an epic painting of Red Riding hood slaying the big bad wolf. That's what kids are missing these days, dark fairy tales.

There's always a nice little story to make.

It's true. Disney has sanitized the old tales and stories of blood and death for children are frowned on. But I think it is healthier to expose children to the real Grimm's than the video games and movies of today.

But, I will get off my soap box.

Would you like to RP? What is your favorite fairy tale or a fairy tale you think could stand to be darkened and matured (with in PG-13 ratings for now)?
