Chemical Reaction (RP Sample)
« on: May 03, 2011, 02:59:00 PM »
This was an opening post for an RP that I am currently involved with someone. She plays the hacker known as Nova. It is set in an elfpunk setting and we basically create things as we go along.

The cacophany of sounds in the office was giving Alex a headache. The overture of shouting, phones ringing and computers beeping was doing little to aid the throbbing pain that battered away at the base of his skull. It didn't help that the insides of his eyes appeared to be itching also. He knew it was a bad idea to come into work today. Two days working undercover in a brothel really takes it out of a man, especially when it's off the books. But then Alessa had asked him for help. the exotic elven temptress had even thrown in a freebie for his trouble, and that b-----d wasn't going to show his face around there again.

It's always a little different when you give them a taste of your own medicine, Alex pondered as he looked down at the split knuckles on his dominant left hand. He gave a wry smile as he looked at the teeth marks, then shook it off when the person sitting next to his current position stood up and slammed the phone down.

"F---ing spirits! The godsdamn spirits have gotten into the phone lines! Again! Hecrate! Zafrim! Iyana!"

"Cursing the Triplet Gods? Must be an exciting evening shift is about to start," Alex mocked, before putting his hands in his pockets and sauntering off, barely hearing the 'f--- off' as it got drowned out with the rest of the noise. He dodged in and out of the cubicles, trying not to make too much mess to his black suit. It was wrinkled enough already and he'd already gotten a stain on his red tie from...well, he had no idea what.

Walking past one of the offices, he stopped and back peddled to look through the open blinds. There he could see the cyber-warfare division tackling their latest case. Nova. F---ing prick had the entire government on edge. The mayor had instructed them, in her own words, to 'stop this b-----d from using his wizardry to help terrorists get what they want'. It was hardly wizardry, it wasn't real magic, but just like the mayor, Alex didn't trust technology either.

It was then that he noticed his own reflection in the glass window. his tie wasn't just stained, it was at a 45 degree angle, with his black shirt unbuttoned at the top. His black hair was a forest of stray hairs and knots. He really was a frightful mess. He'd have to sort himself out bef--

"Estacado! My office! Now!"
