Required Questions:

Hello, InkedHeiress here and I am excited to introduce myself.

1.    Tell us how you found us, please?

I found out from another member as they are in my Creative writing class.

2.
Confirmation that you understand our rules.

I understand the rules 100%.

3.
A confirmation that you are over eighteen (18) years of age.

I am over 18 years of age.

4.    Your native language(s)and what region you are from.

I am a native English speaker from the UK. I am currently learning Spanish, French and BSL.

5.
What are your reasons for joining Elliquiy, and what aspects of our community are you interested in?

As someone who has never really been involved in roleplaying before, I am basing this on what I expect from a
community as whole.
I am looking for somewhere I can collaborate creatively and work together towards a shared vision.
I am trying to experiment and expand my comfort zones within writing, in a supportive environment with
like minded individuals.

6.    Are you new to
roleplaying?

I am completely new at role playing, so if someone is able to help me get more involved that would be great!
We are writing a collaborative story in our class, which is interesting and how I came to find myself here.

I am looking for someone who would be supportive and understanding of my writing and lack of experience, someone
who wouldn't judge me too harshly. I am a committed individual, and would expect the same from my partner.

7.    Elliquiy consists of a wide array of sexualities, personalities and enthusiasts of various kinks. How
comfortable are you interacting in such a community?

I am completely comfortable interacting in such a community.

8. How do you feel about males writing as female characters or females writing as male characters?

I only write female characters as a personal preference, however I don't mind if partners choose to write as
whichever their character.

9. Let us know about your pet peeves or other things that bother you.

As I am new to this, I don't really have a set of pet peeves, but generally speaking, I don't like people taking
over and people who tend to bully or belittle others, which in the rules isn't allowed so I don't foresee this
being a problem. There is no fetishes that come to mind that I don't like.

Optional Questions:
As our application process is a chance for us to get to know you better, we've left a few optional questions
to get you started.  A member of our Welcoming team will be along soon to continue the process.

A.    Would you like to disclose your gender identity?

I am a cisgendered female.

B.    What are some hobbies or activities you particularly enjoy?

I saw a post once saying "I'm outsidey, not outdoorsy" and I need that printed on very many t-shirts! I love
being outside, be that to walk or watch sunsets or to write poetry, however, I really love coming back to the
inside to curl up and enjoy the comforts of plumbing and central heating...

When inside, I love reading, cooking and making cute little crafts. I'm not artsy at all, but I try to be.

C. What would you do if a writing partner suddenly, and without prior discussion, included one of your
major offs in your roleplay?

There would need to be a discussion around this as I'd rather have had something planned with my partner to avoid
this. I would ask them to consider editing the post to remove the content or edit it so it wasn't included.
Should there be some kind of push back from my partner, I would either get the Mods involved or simply end my
partnership with that person, as I wouldn't be able to trust them again.

D.Please describe your writing style and preferences.

I love a bit of romance and fantasy, and I am happy to dabble in sci-fi. I am happy to move out of my comfort
zone for a good prompt, though! I much prefer to write in third person and can get quite whimsical with description
so my preferred length would be on the longer side. Setting can be anywhere within the genre.

E. Please describe your ideal roleplaying partner and their character.

As I am new to this, I don't have an ideal partner other than what I said earlier, so someone kind and patient
until I find my feet. I enjoy writing with people who enjoy what they do, and take pride in their work. Someone
who is committed but also flexible and understanding. I love well written, well rounded characters. Someone who
feels real.

F.
As part of the application process, our members like asking fun
questions of applicants.
We want to get to know you and entertain
you during your approval process!

F1. Please let us know if you would you prefer: fun/silly questions, writing prompts, both, or neither.

Yes! I love fun and silly questions as ice-breakers, and writing prompts are always fun!

F2. If you would like fun questions or a writing prompt, please start by treating the following as either
a question, writing prompt, or character building exercise, and remember to keep it PG13:

People start waking up with superpowers, but they are mostly useless. For example, the power to be immune to
every third bullet, or the power to force people to do the chicken dance whenever the song is played. What
would your ‘mostly useless’ power be, and how would you use it?

"You have such a green thumb!" Nina exclaimed as she watched Sandra potter around with the plants in the office.
Sandra merely smiled to herself, "There you go my lovely," she whispered to the snake plant as she returned it
to its bigger pot, a big smile on her face when she heard the tiny little "thank you" that squeaked out of Simba
the Snake Plant. Sandra gathered her things and gave the plants a little wave as she moved away from the plants
and back to her desk, depositing the box underneath as she sighed and looked at the 86 emails that had piled
into her inbox in the 30 minutes she'd taken to taking care of the plants. She hadn't meant to be away from her
desk for as long as she had been, but the Spider plant wouldn't shut up about being thirsty and as soon as she
had gotten up from the desk, the spider plant started begging for water and suddenly there was nothing peaceful
about the peace lily, either.

The office was on the 25th floor, so high up into the sea of grey that was the other office buildings that the
group of ladies decided they need something nice to brighten up the grey. Nina, the manger, had called a lunch
time meeting, and "soft furnishings" were vetoed, as were art and other kinds of prints and things when they
couldn't agree with a theme. James, the office dad, had suggested plants. Low maintenance, low effort, but the
pop of colour they needed to break up the monotony. Except the first lot died within 3 weeks. The next bunch
survived for around 4 months and everyone was starting to get quite ratty until during one lunch around a year
ago, a tiny little aloe plant asked Sandra to water it. She ignored the notion because quite frankly plants
cannot talk, however, the voice was a little louder every time Sandra looked at it. So, she did. It was
inexplicable, really, why she decided to water the plant, but she did and then the tiny little plant said
thank you and Sandra thought she was losing her mind. This continued, for a few weeks, different plants asking
to be moved out of the sunlight, into the sunlight, for water, for food and soon Sandra started adding to her
little family of plants. The office resembled a jungle, and soon the other workers started bringing in plant
pots and other items from fairy lights to bamboo fencing.

After around 6 months, her co-workers started asking her how she was managing to keep the place so green and
vibrant and before she knew it, she was being asked left, right and centre to diagnose their own plants from
home. Sandra couldn't tell them the plants spoke to her, so she told them she had to see the plants and their
leaves, in person, and could help. Now, so many months down the line, she was absolutely over the moon
that people could get some joy out of her silly little talent. At 32, Sandra couldn't quite believe her claim to
fame was that shewas the Office Crazy Plant lady, but she as opened the website for her local garden centre, she
couldn't find it within herself to care.

Hi ChasingDreams!

Thank you for the links, I'll definitely go through them later on and get more involved. Oh what a question!

What do you feel is your best trait as a writer? On the other hand, what do you feel is your worst trait as a writer?

I think my best trait is I'm a bit of a stickler for detail and notice the little things. I love worldbuilding and character building, so I can create characters who have great depth. This however, causes my worst trait, I think. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so tend to obsess over my writing quite a bit until it's up to the impossible standards I set myself. If I am accepted, I'm hoping having a turn around time helps!
