I had made a characrer for it when no interest came but I really have failed to establish him. He could just as easily be made into a NPC bodyguard if you'd like the Marshall spot.

This is always true. I think we did really well last preseason. This preseason's just weird because we don't have an official offensive coordinator. We're going to miss Josh a lot cuz I don't see how Joe judge or Matt Patricia can be a good offensive coordinator, but we'll see. 🏈🙌🏼

Gotta hope that Bill is just playing his cards way, way close to his chest on this. From what I'm seeing, though, our defense can probably stand with the best, but our O-line is a big problem.

Personality:  Quick of wit, with a smooth smile and a winning personality is how most people see him as. Sly can be a commanding presence if he wants to be, but he prefers to let his silver tongue take the fire out of any confrontation he's in. Behind closed doors, however, the façade slips. His charming Queen's English becomes something a little more native to the East End of London, his words coarser, his control over himself starting to wane.

Known History: There was no future for Sly in his hometown. Father gone, mother dead, leaving an orphan with no prospects, no life and likely to end up in the poorhouse for the rest of his very short days. He hated the city with a passion, and when the first opportunity arose for him to join a steamer across the Atlantic, he took it. Sly abandoned the ship as soon as it made port in New York and never looked back.

Of course, his prospects weren't much better in the bustling city, and so he moved further out into the country, joining a farm as a workhand after the matriarch of the family took a shine to him. He learned to ride, to shoot and exactly what kind of prospects were waiting for him. He joined up with the Union during the war, mostly as a mercenary since he wasn't born an American. Still, his knowledge of horses and shooting earned him a decent spot in the early days, mostly as a scout and skirmisher, specializing in counter reconnaissance screening. He served with distinction throughout the war, and was offered a role in the Pinkertons afterward, traveling across the country, adding to the small fortune he'd made for himself until Alistair Winnfield called on him to serve his adoptive country in another manner.

It took a bit of doing, but he took on a Marshal's star, settling into Darkholme like it was his own homeland. Sure, he could leave sometime, but for the moment, there wasn't many other places he wanted to be, and fewer still which wanted him.

Skills:
Martial - On horseback, on foot, with pistol, rifle, shotgun, knife or saber, Sly has tried his hand in the toughest situations with any and all.
Occupational - His time running counter-recon screening in the Union Cavalry led him to become more than halfway decent as a tracker.
Hobby - He's taken to whittling lately. Not great, but he's getting better.
Social Skills - Between his winning smile and silver tongue, Sly can manage his way out of just about any scrap he doesn't care to jump into.

Extra: There's a steel chest in his room, kept under lock and key, holding all his most treasured possessions, including a Colt revolver and a cavalry saber he stole from a Confederate officer, his war medals and other sundry items, some of which are better hidden than others.
